Weird but I can only assume he is making more money there than with Eddie.
Hopefully whatever fight he does make is worth while and not going back to fighting part time boxers.
Benn definitely doesn't "need" the money. He's sitting on a sizeable inheritance. So, may as well fight for legacy.
It's an easy fight to make happen if Shakur concedes to Haney's ego by choosing legacy over money (less than 50%).
Otherwise, Haney will price himself out.
I think you MISUNDERSTOOD. If he is Elite let him SHOW it vs De Los Santos or Haney.
Who ever he fights he will need to display it, why not vs the BEST out there. I didn't say he was not Elite.
Haney vs Shakur would be even more boring than Shakur vs Teofimo. :lol1:
Two guys trying to stick to the outside, not give anything, and establish jab dominance.
Boooooooooring :lol1:
Stevenson would shutout Cruz 120 -108. Total mismatch.
Maybe not. But I wouldn't be surprised if the height and reach difference make it a shutout.
Style vs Style, Shakur is given hell.
But size matters.
He's not that good.
In the context of elite boxers, Shakur is a really good amateur and fights like one.
I think choosing Conor Benn is the wrong move. Going up to 147 is probably the wrong move.
But for the most part, until Shakur runs into a Maidana, he's going to keep winning and he's going to keep making it look easy but it's not because he's THAT good, it'll be because the guys he ends up fighting cannot exploit the frailties of his game.
Ennis and Benn get Shakur out of there running scared. I promise you. If Benn looks like s.hit vs Shakur? I'm calling BS and claiming it's a fixed fight. Because there's no way. :lol1:
Gervonta would get Shakur out of there as well (he's ruining his own life and career now so nevermind this one).
Chavez is superior to Camacho, he is a top 2 latino boxer.
Barrera again is superior to Hamed skill wise and intelligence. Barrera isn;t even slow.
Paulie has no power nor a right hand and Cotto is clearly the better fighter. Cotto at 140 wasn't slow.
I get what you mean that not speed alone, that is true but Pac holds a lot of other advantages too, particularly power.
Bradley is good, everything is good about him from chin to speed, but he isn't great.
lol, you get what I mean though.
I'm not even saying speed isn't a good thing. I'm just pointing out, it's not the end all, be all.
I know those dudes are skillful but they obviously aren't the faster man in those contests.
I was talking to my friend earlier about this fight.
I wouldn't be surprised if Bradley actually won. He'd have to make the fight ugly, to likely get the W. But if he pumps that jab before going in and using that Hopkins style. He could possibly win.
Yeah I know what you mean but Pac also has other advantages also. However for this fight it should be the most deciding factor.
Watching him VS Cassa the lefty, that left hand landed flush every so often. I got a feeling it will be a battle of Bradley ducking and landing that sneaky right hand almost blind VS Pac's left cross.
Definitely. Before, I thought Pacquiao would just out-right win this match.
But with the way the boxing world has been going recently. Mayweather-Cotto, Froch-Bute etc etc. I wouldn't be surprised if Bradley pulled out a win or made the fight a real contest.
Not surprised. I can't even remember the last time Pacquiao fought a legit challenger.
Sad thing is, Roach says this **** and whacked out fans totally disregard it. It's like George W. Bush "we have no evidence of WMDs but we know WMDs are there" :nonono:
Well, I just gotta say stop backing into the ropes. I'm surprised no one has mentioned it. You circle and then you always stop right against the ropes and try to fight off the ropes. That's got to go. Specially when you have circled and reversed positions, you did it in this video. The guy walked right into the ropes after you circled out and you just backed off and reseted against the ropes again.
You'll get taken advantage of every time if you do that. Your opponent doesn't even have to be hurting you, they can just point fight, if you sit on the ropes. You lose.
pretty good though. just keep puttin in work.
Pacquiao honestly has an incredible resume.
at Welterwe, sure, he doesn’t have a Hearns, Duran, or Hagler above 147 on his resume.
but are we going to now say that Barrera, Morales, Marquez was sh.it?
those are 3 ATGs as much as Hagler, Duran, and Hearns are ATGs.
Did you really just put Barrera, Morales and Marquez on the level of Hagler, Hearns and Duran? Really?????
I said they were ATGs. Which they are.
Being welterweight over being super featherweight is irrelevant as they were all legitimate greats.
None of them are on the level of Hagler, Duran, or Hearns. That's not even a debatable topic.
Never said they were, I said they were ATGs.
Which isn't a debatable topic.
If it's just one punch, then I gotta say Floyd. It's just ridiculously impossible to predict when that right hand is gonna fire.
On a consistent basis though, Pacquiao bar-none! Let's be real here, Amir Khan spars with him and doesn't even come close. Gamboa appears fast because he is mugging tomato cans. When he rapes someone worth talking about, I will revisit the Gamboa argument for fastest hands.
So, I voted Pacquiao. You can predict his punches and where he is gonna go with it. Mothafuckas just can't get out of the way in time.
It would be a big money fight, so yes, he would fight Sergio. SPECIALLY if Sergio told him that he would fight 147 too.
Sadly, if the fight was at 147, I doubt Sergio would win. 154, Sergio has a good chance to win but I never bet against Floyd.
Floyd is like the Undertaker, don't bet against him at Wrestlemania.
This is complete bullsh*t. Martinez walks around closer to 185-190. Hes a fatass when hes not training. They did a weigh in 30 days before the Pwill rematch and he weighed 176 and the fight was at 157.
When asked if he could still make 154 he said not unless I cut off one of my legs.
Marg can make 150 and Oscar came in under 147 in his last fight. Its obvious that Martinez is the biggest fighter out of those 3 right now.
My friend is a HUGE Sergio Martinez fan, so I just took his word for it. About the weight that is.
Martinez is NOT the biggest of the three.
Body Mass, Oscar is the biggest out of the three. Sure he made 147 but how did that effect him? A huge drop in muscle mass and severe dehydration. When a guy needs IV, that is NEEDLES in the arm to rehydrate, that guy is NOT 147 capable. Then I add, who out of the three went on to fight Bernard Hopkins and look just as big as Bernard Hopkins? Thank you very much.
Marg and Sergio are roughly the same size. Margarito just has the body type to sustain life at lower weights. Sergio's body can't take it and/or he doesn't feel good when dropping that low. Doesn't mean that they aren't the same size.
Whatever you say man. Fact is he got 2 dudes with a good chance to beat him knocking on his door and he aint answering. Deja vu.
I am over floyd-pac. I would like to see floyd-martinez. But Floyd took his leave before Martinez got his p4p claim. Literally right before it happened.
I want to see him back but like I always say, I ain't gonna drool over Floyd's every move until he returns. He'll return, when he returns. He isn't getting any younger, so it will happen sooner rather than later.
Get the fuk out of here.. I have a bunch of dumb asses in this thread saying Pac is big enough to fight at JMW...
What weight did Pacquiao fight Margarito? 150 right? Not his weigh in, the fight limit.
What weight division does 150lbs fall into?
Dumb. Nothing about him has changed. He doesn't hit harder, he isn't faster, he doesn't have more stamina. Nothing about him changed besides the fact that he beat the declared "most avoided man in boxing". You get famous for beating people with titles(monikers).
So, don't get those allegations started.
Because he has personal issues to handle. Namely the issue with his wife, court, and the possibility of going to jail or losing his kids. Whichever.
When that gets settled he can think about boxing again. Seeing how he has IRS issues as well.
At least it makes sense for him to do what he does. Where as Pacquiao doesn't have highly publicized issues and still rather fight a foot in the grave old man.
