Mostly try and hide like he did against Cotto, Margarito and now Pac. After about 5 years later when the dust has settled, he will change the story and say i offered Sergio the fight but he said he werent ready for me and twisting everything and making excuses left right and center.
so you're saying all it takes is a natural disaster to make it happen? Well then, let's all get together and pray for an earthquake in italy so both manfredo and spadafora pull out of their fights.

I think this particular time is quite interesting, actually.
It feels like early 2010 all over again. Remember how it was? Mosley was going to fight Berto, Pacquiao had possible opponents lined up and Mayweather had nobody really credible to fight. The stars aligned for him and he fought Mosley.
I hope stars don't align again, unless it's against pacquiao. Otherwise, it will be very interesting to see who Floyd fights next. Personally, I think circumstance (earthquake) forced the mosley matchup on Floyd and I don't think that he really wanted that fight to begin with. I'm glad it happened, though.
I just think it's extremely interesting to see how this unfolds if not against pacquiao. It's like February/March 2010 all over again!
Martinez cant make 147. He's too big.
But I have my doubts about Floyd fighting at 147. He hasnt fought in a year and looked big in his last fight. I think he'll fight at 154 in his comeback fight!!!!!!
As much as I'd like that to happen,Floyd isn't fighting at 154,Martinez can make weight there,Floyd will not fight there when fighters like Martinez & the Punisher roam around that weight class.
Floyd would destroy him @147...no way Sergio can make that weight healthy...stupid thread...Sergio should not fight below at a weight that he would have to kill himself to make..nobody wants to see a repeat of Manny v Oscar where a great fighter such as Oscar was reduced to a shadow of himself as a result of the drastic cut in weight.
if it was just the weight why did oscar retire or are we pretending oscar was great when he fought floyd?

It would be a big money fight, so yes, he would fight Sergio. SPECIALLY if Sergio told him that he would fight 147 too.
Sadly, if the fight was at 147, I doubt Sergio would win. 154, Sergio has a good chance to win but I never bet against Floyd.
Floyd is like the Undertaker, don't bet against him at Wrestlemania.
Let me think? Oh yeah beat the **** outta him!
Floyd is a better fighter and Segio just couldnt make 147, if he did I could beat his weight drained corpse silly!
Mayweather would remind him that he isn't a big enough draw to deserve some of his PPV action and would then proceed to tell him that he needed to get in line, behind Spadaford, Malignaggi, Matt Hatton and just about any other average fighter with no punching power and that maybe then he could get his "pay day"
Mayweather wouldn't even fight Ivan Calderon at 147 right now. He's just not in to boxing, you have to understand this. When he says he's returning, we start the guessing game on his next opponent. Until then, there are fights like Wlad-Haye, , Hopkins-Pascal II, Khan-Bradley, and JuanMa-Gamboa on the horizon, all in most likely taking place in 2011.
Wadda u talking about. I thought he was in negotiations to fight vinny Paz in Dubai ...

he would demand ost, when sergio agrees he'd go on vacation after claiming he can't fight him because he lives in argentina. Then he'd go on a year long internet smear campaign posting videos of martinez's losses and claim his lack of an undefeated record is an automatic win in his book. Then when push came to shove and all excuses were used up, he'd demand $2 billion dollars to step in the ring.
Pretty much business as usual.
