Last fight weights:
Marquez 145
Pacquiao 148
Martinez 168
Objective Commentary: Pacquiao is a coward for not moving down two weight classes to fight Marquez. Pacquiao is a coward for not moving up two weight classes to fight Martinez. Martinez is a stud challenging Pacquiao to come up. Martinez is smart by refusing to fight anyone at 168.
And as far as people wanting Manny P to fight a guy like Martinez, this is just a desire to see Manny P. smashed up. We should not be pressing a small fighter with a normal skeleton to keep fighting heavier and bigger guys until we see him destroyed.
Arum is no fool and I'm sure that Manny P knows this and goes to him for boxing and other:stupid: advice. There is a close bond between them. So even though Manny P likes to make his fans happy, and his country proud of him, common sense will prevail and he will call a HALT somewhere before he gets himself killed or injured for life. He has already done far more than anybody thought he could do.
I believe that he has already called that HALT.
I can hardly believe that I've read through 8 pages waiting to find some realistic postulation as to WHY X was bigger than Y, and I:bottle: didn't find it, except slightly in the last post before mine, which touched on that Martinez was "thicker"........Several others also said that Martinez was the biggest, but gave no logical reasons. Not logical to me anyway.
These are the facts as I have been able to find them.
Martinez is the bigger, Margarito is next, and Oscar is the smallest.
My reasoning; Laszlo Papp began as an amateur welter and fought as a pro middle. He was 5'5" tall. but he was stocky and broad shouldered and full of muscle.
There are thousands of other examples. how do you think that Paul Williams can fight as a middleweight and as a welterweight when he is ..what..about 6'1" or 6' 2",
The big secret is the skeleton, the frame, the weight and density of the bones, the shape or broadness of the skeleton which governs just how much solid muscle it can carry.
Oscar began as a 130lb'er, as low as 128. His bones are lighter and of smaller circumference. There's no contest here.
Martinez began as a welterweight, obviously has heavier bones and is broader than Oscar, can carry more muscle, and could NEVER in anyone's wildest dreams to be imagined as ever being 130 like Oscar.
Margarito, began as a lightweight, well inside the limit, but he was only still aged 15, and still growing., so we can say that he was a welterweight, which he soon became as he grew.
There is only about a half-an-inch difference in height between each from Margarito down to Martinez, and height anyway MAKES NO DIFFERENCE.
Martinez is the BIGGEST of the three, Margarito is next and Oscar is the smallest.
Oh boy!
HA! I believe that my avatar pic proves that Manny is the biggest amongst all of them!
totally kidding.

Oh boy!
1. Sergio Martinez
2. Oscar De La Hoya
3. Antonio Margarito
I'm really not sure who's bigger between Margarito and Oscar. Martinez is biggest of the three though, no doubt about it.
There's a massive contradiction here, the same people who dont want Martinez to come down to 150 are the same people who want Pac to go down to 135 for Marquez
Though i would like Pac to fight Marquez at 135 and Martinez at 154 or 155 for MW, but then you have got to put things into perspective
And Martinez is the biggest, you just need look at his body composition. The guy has a thicker core then both. But then again, what does that matter, Pac has said 150 or below.
All 3 are damn near the same size. The thing with weight is age.Martinez fought at 147 at 1 time, just like the other 2.Martinez is also the oldest of the 3.Oscar couldn't make 147,we all saw how that ended up.Margarito needed slim fast or some $hit to make 150.
It doesn't matter who's Pac is fighting, you talking about people fighting at a disadvantage. You want PAC to fight Martinez and you say that at 150 Martinez will be at a disadvantage. You want a Martinez vs PAC fight at 154 so Martinez doesn't have a disadvantage. So where does that leave PAC than LOL. You think PAC will have a advantage at 154 LOL.
Where did I say that?
The question is who's the bigger out of 3 guys and I answered it.
Not once did I mention who Pac should fight in this thread.
Pac should take what fight? What are you talking about now?
It doesn't matter who's Pac is fighting, you talking about people fighting at a disadvantage. You want PAC to fight Martinez and you say that at 150 Martinez will be at a disadvantage. Of course Pac can, now would he be healthy is a different story, you dumb fuck.
LOL somebody getting mad here. At 140 PAC will be more healthier than Martinez at 154.
So according to your logic, PAC should take the fight at 140 because that's his advantage....but you want the fight at 154 so PAC is at a disadvantage LOL.
Pac should take what fight? What are you talking about now?
Who's the one at the biggest disadvantage?
With all the muscle sergio has, he'd be more of a walking dead man than de la hoya was at 145, and definately more than the healthy fighter margarito was at 150.
Margarito looked as strong as he was for the cotto fight in the beginning of the pacquiao fight, I don't understand what people are talking about when they say he was drained.
Not that Marg was drained at 150 cuz' I don't think he was. But, without a doubt I feel he would have felt more stronger at 154. Right now 154 is probably Marg natural weight-class and him going down to 150 even though not drained, is also not his natural weight-class. So there is where the disadvantage comes into play.
Like I said in an earlier post. Martinez is probably the biggest of the 3, while Oscar is probably the smallest of the 3. However, is not by much, all 3 are damn near the same size.
Lets not forget that Martinez was just like 3 pounds bigger than Marg on fight night when Marg fought Pac and Martinez fought P-Will.
The size differential of all 3 is not by much. All 3 are damn near the same size.
That's not true, at all in the bold.
Oscar came under 145 but was drained as can be. "ivy mark" remember? Maybe not since you started watching boxing after that fight.
Martinez can also get down to that weight but he will be in a serious disadvantage being drained and all like Oscar was.
Oscar is also a fatass when not drained and gout around the 180+ so that doesn't mean nothing. I mean Hatton got around the same weight...Is he the same size as Martinez? Of course not right?
Lets please use some logic here.
Martinez is no fool, he saw how coming in too low for a fight effected the guys that Pac fought. He doesn't want to make the same mistake as them. Hence the reason why he doesn't want to go that low. the lowest his willing to go for Pac is 153 just to make it fair, for Floyd is 154 just to make it fair, and for Cotto and Angulo is 155-156 just to make it fair.
Lets not forget that Martinez was just only a few pounds bigger than Margarito on fight night when he fought P-Will and Marg fought Pac. It was like what? 3lbs?
Now saying all that Martinez is probably the bigger guy, with Oscar probably the smallest guy out of the 3. But, really is not by much they're all damn near the same size.
This guy is clearly a Flomo, wouldn't you agree Gutz?
I know you aren't a Flomo, Rosales, just trying to make a point.
Again all 3 can make it.
Whether all 3 want to have the same disadvantage is a different story. But, all 3 can make it.
So according to your logic, PAC should take the fight at 140 because that's his advantage....but you want the fight at 154 so PAC is at a disadvantage LOL.
LOL if Martinez can make 145 like Dela Hoya, PAC can make 130 according to your theory.
Of course Pac can, now would he be healthy is a different story, you dumb fuck.
As far as a fight with Pac goes, Segio is just the smarter of the 3 not to bend down for that 150lbs catchweight crap. Martinez is not too big, he's too good. Weighing in at 157lbs on the scale for his MW fights, he's not a big MW to begin with. But IMO, he's bigger than DLH and Margarito.
That's not true, at all in the bold.
