lol dont bring that bullshit here, naseem avoided most big names , larry merchant even said it himself, when mayweather called him out
Ok, whatever you say.
I'm actually bored of arguing with people on here that have absolutely no idea what the fuck they are talking about.
Avoided most big names and unified every belt in the division. Nice one.
naz had great natural talent but avoided tough fights until pushed into a corner and then lost
nuff said
What you talkin' about son?
Barrera avoided Naseem Hamed from 1995 right up until 2001. In 2000 he still wasn't ready for Naseem Hamed as he sat ringside at the Augie Sanchez fight. Naseem mentions that the only one who would get in the ring was Augie, which was just as well since he had the same knockout percentage as him with only one loss. Morales and Barrera both ringside were spectating.
The night Barrera won the title of Richie Wenton, Barrera's management team came to the conclusion that he still wasn't ready for Naseem as they watched Naseem on the same card; the main event.
So don't bring that Bs anywhere near this thread.
I agree; I rate Calzaghe highly, but he does throw girls slaps, sometimes not even arm punches but 'elboy punches', slaps bending from the elbow. It's embarassing.
As embarrassing as your spelling? Methinks not, cunt chops.
The closest he is going to come to scoring a KO is scoring a KD, which even that is unlikely.
And the only way he is going to score a KD is an accumulation of punches. Again, unlikely, because Oscar is smart. He is going to take a fair battering though.
I got Floyd winning but who knows.
Well I like him... and wish he does as well as possible. I wanna see him go far because I have been watching him for at least a year now and before he had 10 fights even... so he'll be one that I have watched the rise and rise of... along with Amir Khan.
El Pacman, people like him because he has a good fighting style. This is boxing, if the fans like the style then they watch the fighter... what more is there to comprehend. Its boxing... get over it.
Cotto is taking a big risk on Judah on low rewards and he's doing it just to fight a "name" and assure himself as one of the best fighters out there. He could've fought some totally unknown bum or a prospect but he chose a seasoned and dangerous veteran in Zab. I think Cotto and Arum deserve some props.
They would get even more props with even more danger. (ie Judah before he lost to Baldomir and showed even more vulnerabilities than normal).
I hope that little shithead Exige reads this and learns to give Rockin the respect he deserves..........
I guess the sarcasm went right over your head, yes?
I Agree, wish Baldi would've fought him at his best and wish he had more stamina against Floyd but that's boxing. One more thing, don't count Zad as down and out yet.
Near on down and out... he needs to win win and win to even get some sort of ¨career¨ back on track. No room for mistakes with him now, so he is borderline gone. Cotto will damage him...
nah he was'nt kidding he meant most of it but made it appear he was kidding........and I agree with most of it.:D
Omg....
I'm not even gonna argue with you if your mind is warped that much.
I train like it... and switch up occasionally in sparring. I also do it for balance.
Naz was a switch hitter but he would stand so square on he wasnt even in any stance sometimes.
I thought we established that Triangular logic doesnt work, in 2005. Maybe even before... as soon as Hatton fights triangular logic... all the rage!
If you haven't had at least one pro fight, your opinion means nothing to me. I don't care if you'd studied boxing history, you've been around the sport all your life, and know all the fighters personally and have access to inside information; your opinion means less than a pro with a 0-1 record if you've never laced 'em up. I can't wait for HBO to fire Lampley and Merchant and add Bert Cooper and Leon Spinks to the payroll so we can finally get some insightul commentating for once.
Oh, and amateur doesn't count. A 300-0 record with 300 knockouts and an olympic gold medal in the amateurs is less impressive than 0-1 in the pros. So please don't start with the "oh I won the golden gloves, look at the vids of my fights, I know what I'm talking about". Nope sorry, not interested, unless we're talking PRO here.
Hey BPP can we ban everyone who hasn't fought pro? I believe you should have to fax in a copy of your pro license to make an account on this forum, or any forum on the internet for that matter. I'm getting sick of all these civilians trying to make their points here while lacking the proper credentials.
I mean, okay, you might have what you consider an "opinion" to make but without a pro license that's exactly like a schizophrenic vagrant on the street trying to operate on my brain. Answer me, would you want a dirty, boozed up, mentally ill homeless man performing brain surgery on you, even if he's wearing scrubs? No, that's why we require medical licenses. Now, keeping that in mind, do you want some Joe "Unlicensed, Never Fought Pro" Nobody talking to be you boxing? No, of course not, that's just as bad, and that's why we should require pro boxing licenses to participate in the forum.

Actually, the reason why some Asian people do smell of curry or whatever, is to do with the cooking. Asian food is very heavily based on spices and curry, so when it is cooked in the kitchen it spreads all over the house and goes on clothes, jumpers, jackets which are then worn outside: so, it smells of curry/meat. My cousin's jacket smells of curry and thats the reason. I've told him about it and it suddenly occurred to him that I might be right. I've been to houses where as you are approaching, you can smell all the curry and what-not being cooked before you have even reached the front door. When I walk by flats, I can smell the food being cooked and immediately know its an asian household its coming from. Also, many asian men work in Indian restuarants as chefs, where it is worse. They finish work with all that smell all over them and go home with the smell of curry all over their clothes and body. Trust me, my dad was a chef-you should smell his cloths. Full of the smell of meat/tandoori/spices. I've been on buses when an asian guy is standing or sitting next to me and just by the smell, I can tell he is a chef and is going home after he has just finished work. When you try to explain this to older asian parents and the fact that they need to ensure that the kitchen door or window needs to be open, they dont listen because to them this sort of stuff is normal back in India or Pakistan or Bangladesh.
Good explanation, and its always what I thought the reason was too... kinda obvious though.
he was in the barbers where i get my hair cut "kool kutz",didnt ask him for autograph again like a daft bastard, hes a sound guy,he needed his hair cut aswell, fucking mop on his head, dirty bastard,i told the guy to shave all his hair off but i dont think he fancied a right hook haha
So what did you say to him you dirty bastard, and what did he say in return?
Scab ah? I am union all the way motherfucker. I would rather be a laid-off union man than a non union "scab" working for $8 an hour.
Aswell, I am making good money right now, so no its not about the money.
I just like to call out the little fronts that these jokers put on.............Rockin':boxing:
KayJay is the next joker then?
KayJay is like double the poster you ever were or could aspire to be.
I fought on a card with Butterbean up in lansing one time. Yes, thats a bad physique. However, on the same card I was enlightened to see Jeff "The Belly" step into the ring. Skinny as all hell, mullet and a huge belly rolling over his belt line. It was a sight. I was curious to see if he could fight but was quickly shown that he could not, Jeff "The Belly" was ko'd in one. Maybe we could get "The Belly" a fight with Exige, get Jeff his first win..........Rockin':boxing:
Are the admins going to do something about the flaming outside of the Thunderdome or do I have to reply to it and derail the thread?
this was their first sparr session in some time. Vanes actually switched to southpaw since Calzaghe is southpaw. Didnt turn out well for Manfredo.
If Vanes can do that then what can the more experienced more schooled Calzaghe do... damn this situation is gonna fucking suck... I bet you this hasnt even got to the Calzaghe camp yet, but when it does they are gonna be one of two things.
Really pissed off the fight doesnt go ahead.
or
Ecstatic that Peter Manfredo is potentially weakened psychologically and perhaps physically.
