I got a kid and baby momma up in Burbank. Which is right next to Glendale. I noticed Vanes gets mad love up in Glendale. Especially when he fights.
ya bro, the Armenian community in Glendale and surrounding areas love him.
Vanes is a very humble guy from a good family, when he goes on Armenian tv for interviews that comes through and the people love it.
We also try to have him be active in community events too.
If all of this wasnt there, 1,000 Armenians wouldn't come out to watch him fight at the Honda Center.
ya bro, thats just what Shelly Finkel is working on.
He and Freddie Roach want Vanes Martirosyan to be a Top 10 contender by the end of this year.
Very big year for Vanes so stay tuned... www.VanesBoxing.com

Yeah he is leaving himself open a bit, but the guys he's been fighting have had no shot at all. I still don't know how good his defense is, because I've not seen him have to defend himself. But he is smooth; I like his style.
he is so much better when sparring with BIG names like Roman Karmazin, Sakio Bika, Sam Solimon, Manfredo Jr., Kingsley Ikeke.
He goes into a chess match mode and the gym stops to watch. During real fights he tends to lower his fight quality to that of his opponents (kinda natural in all sports).
Next fight will be a definite eye opener for all. Should be a well experienced guy with nice winning record. Sometime late March.
honestly, thats one of the things that Freddie Roach is working on with Vanes now.
Freddie does believe that as the competition is stepped up a bit and Vanes doesn't feel so comfortable and over confident against his opposition, then he will naturally be a bit more cautious and fight a better fight.

Vanes can be something special, look how many fans hes got already
I wish he would stop jumping in with the left, sometimes u can get countered with a hook den ur dropped, like Andre Ward does,if he fights behind the jab then uses the combos,he'd be like a young DLH

Well I like him... and wish he does as well as possible. I wanna see him go far because I have been watching him for at least a year now and before he had 10 fights even... so he'll be one that I have watched the rise and rise of... along with Amir Khan.
El Pacman, people like him because he has a good fighting style. This is boxing, if the fans like the style then they watch the fighter... what more is there to comprehend. Its boxing... get over it.
I don't get it. Why's he got so many fans already with little amount of wins? He doesn't look anymore impressive than any other undefeated prospect and nowadays I don't buy into the hype of undefeated guys. Wait until he steps up and maybe loses before I take notice of him. Plus he's goofy looking as hell :D
The goofy lookin guy is in your avatar buddy, what exactly is goofy lookin about Vanes?? I like it though, its so early and he already has haters like you loll. You will be first to hug his nuts come 2008, I promise.
In the mean time, go ahead and hang this on your wall kid...
