i was very impressed with his performance tonight. i did feel he should have jumped on jaca at some points but he got the job done when he needed to. i would love for him to fight pacman!
as you can see i am a big fan of the e-man. but i am also not biased. emanuel is a very skilled boxer that has been robbed alot. not to say that he has lost fairly. did u ever see the alex trujillo, emanuel schooled him so bad he never fought again. and if im not mistaken alex was in the top 10 at the time, while emanuel was unranked.
emanuel still has it and if it wasnt for his horrible record he would be fighting the top fighters right now. i really hope he gets another title shot but as far as fighting fighters like ricky hatton i doubt he can win, but who knows
Emmanuel Augustus? He makes interesting fights and has been robbed a few times in his career.
i totally agree, but it will never happen. he isnt a big name and his record will throw the casual viewers off. the purse would be really small for a fight that could have a really good chance of costing a person his title
if he wins then i have him beating either briggs or Maskeav. but thats a long shot. I thnk maskeav is a bum so i would like to see holyfield beating him, but i doubt itll happen
How many people on boxingscene are watching this? This could be Holyfield's own "Drama in the Bahama" fight.
i would never buy this PPV. it makes me laugh. i do hope itll show on HBO tho,but as far as paying $40+ to watch a washed up fighter...naw
it usually doesnt phase but when Mayorga came out for his DLH fight i was ANGER. his whole corner had advertisments and he had them on too. can u say overdone?:nonono:
C'mon, I want to hear strategy and fightplans not "he should retire" posts. Whether you agree with his decision to fight on or not, the fact is Evander will be in against a very capable opponent tonight and I would like to hear some boxing analysis how how he can win this fight.
im sorry but i honestly dont see him winning this fight. he was great in his prime but its too late for him now
BEST for me: emanuel augustus getting his revenage on courtney burton(after that AWFUL decision back in 04) and the USA getting back into the heavyweight game(hopefully even mroe so on saturday)
WORST for me: chris byrd losing, gatti vs baldy(which for me sealed his coffin) PBF vs baldy(which kind of turned me off from PBF but imma still watch...but not pay)
I think they did it just because her father was there... Laila fought a bummette.
this is also my thinking. as far as UFC goes, i like having HBO for boxing and boxing only. i do like UFC but i think it should stay on the cable channels
This is where I may piss some people off but oh well
Ali was a true champ in the ring and out. It really is terrible to see such an athlete become so physically wasted but...what do you want??? People to live forever. There is death for a reason. It is the final part of life. The world is already dangerously over crowded. If we cure all diease where are we gonna put everybody, how will we feed them??? People must die or the world will. we can not cure everything, some times it is better to let nature run it's course.
its not that he is dying but the way he is. i know there are far worse ways of dying but i hate to see ppl suffer from shit they did nothing to deserve. just wish he didnt have to go this way
i was at peters last fight and he did pretty good. i still think he needs a couple moer fights with ppl like green before even thinking abotu going against joe. im a huge fan of peters, never watched the contender so i cant say if he has improved or not but i will be rooting for him
I think it's just people trash talk Mayweather because he praises himself too much, every fighter who talks them selfes up there bound too have critics. The fact is he is the best fighter this day!
exactly. i know ali did the same thing, but did u see who he fought?! i have no hate against PBF but honestly who has he fought? a washed up gatti, which even in his prime wasnt a greatly skilled fighter(even i love his fights), and zab. i know he beat some ppl in his lower weight classes but we are talking about now. him talkin bout how he is the greatest of all time period is crazy. i know fighters cant fight as much as they did back in the 70's ect but at least fight ppl that will give you a challange:chairshot
:spank: :poke: :spankme:
i am VERY excited about this fight. if brock wins thats another american with a HW belt. klits fights are always worth watching and im hoping for a great fight whoever wins!
Why didn't they boo Baldomir? They should of thrown trash on him as he left the arena. He's the one who fucking sucked dick.
cuz he tried. he tried to catch PBF but he just ran away the whole time. what floyd did wasnt even "boxing" i am a fan of his but that preformance was sub par. yes he did wat he had to do to win but if he has to run away from a dude for 12rnds to win then i cant call him a great
lol i would love to see him fight valuev. valuev cant fight for shit and holyfield is experienced enuff to know wat to do. i mean come on, how can u be that big and punch like a kitten! i am totally surprised that he won tonight and i really thinl he needs to retire, but if he wants a title fight then valuev it is!
while i hear what you are saying...actual evidence shows that more has been accomplished with adult stem cells than embryonic stem cells anyway...but this is not an issue for a boxing forum...
lol didnt mean to bring the religious/scientific part into this. just ur thoughts on seeing him tonight
as far as him being an asshole earlier in his life, yes he was but at the same time i think it helped him alot. it totally thru sonny liston off and as far as him saying he is the best i totally stand by him with that seeing the ppl he has fought
