i just made this account to respond to a post on tondo and gensan is. was browsing the internet on pacman news and found this forum. would just like to say that said post is a pure and blatant lie. i'm a filipino from bogo, cebu (bisaya) and i travel a lot (mission work.) i've been round the philippines catering to the poor and needy and sharing our beliefs. tondo is a very poor area. with a high crime rate. but it's not as worse as this poster tries to portray. mayor lito atienza has done a fair job on tondo with barangay tanods(a group of unarmed gentlemen who travel in groups and watch out for any signs of criminal activity and relying on their number to prevent a crime by use of physical force) and police in uniform all around the area to prevent the common crimes such as robberies and the occassional gang fights. but it's not like everyday someone gets killed in tondo which people from there would like you to believe. it's all manly talk coz people love to brag how tough they are if they're from tondo. the occassional crime gets way overblown that you're made to believe it's a daily occurence. and regarding children with guns? yes it's true but it's a plastic toy that shoots a plastic pellet. even adults play with those toys and carry them around. it shoots a plastic pellet which stings a bit, but is nowhere near deadly- but had some reports of people losing their eyesite coz of misuse- and it costs roughly 20 pesos which is around 50 US cents at the current exchange rate. so hope i killed all the exaggeration regarding tondo. i've stayed there for months helping the poor, teaching the out-of-school youth. cubao, quezon city on the other hand, has an even higher crime rate than tondo. with the daily robberies and occassional killings. but the worse crime i've witnessed from cubao lately is a hostage situation, a guy ran amok who thankfully got killed by the police instead of his poor screaming victim. but again, these are all occassional. not a daily occurence in any way.
and regarding general santos city also know as gensan, there's a vast majority of muslims in the area, but the place is generally peaceful with law abiding citizens. the place is still controlled by the philippine government, with armed men in military fatigues patrolling the area daily. no such thing as civilians carrying firearms. there's a warzone in mindanao, those muslim rebels fighting government troops, but it doesn't occur in the the towns. they do it in the mountain jungles where all these rebels are in hiding. again, occassionally, they send undercover forces (composed of mostly two individuals) to the neigboring towns to terrorize the masses by planting explosive devices, but it's not a daily occurence as military intelligence are quick to thwart their evil deeds. but sadly, they occassionally still manage to succeed in their evil work thus we hear of this bombings in market places etc. but for a single town near the mountain areas, they might get hit twice a year on average. but again, it's not a daily occurence. you visit general santos city now, the only armed men you see are government troops. not civilians and an emphatic no! no one shooting you to death coz of a stare. you'd likely get in a fistfight though- even knife fights are occassional.
in ending, i don't have a beef with above poster. just wanted to say the truth regarding tondo and gensan. regarding mexico, i've never been there so i don't have anything to say bout morales' hometown.
so i hope pacman wins this fight. he's the pride of filipino's from around the globe. even the rebels and government troops at war agree to stop fighting for a day just to witness pacquiao's fight. and both celebrate when pacman emerges as the victor. if only manny had a fight everyday, then maybe the philippines would finally be united. so sad but true. mabuhay ka manny pacquiao!

they missed out morales fight with raheem too, but it was a good show though, i enjoyed it. morales really hates barrera though.. lol
he was making me laugh when he had to talk about barrera...sayin stuff like:
"i dont hate him........hes just a motherfucker...thats all" :nonono:
"why do i have to talk about him!!?, why do i have to talk about that FA*GOT!!"
barrera and morales still have hatred towards one another.
Acutally Morales called him a DUMBASS, the translation called him a ***got.
For the millionth time, theres no such thing as Phillippines vs Mexico.... Pacquiao doesnt equal to all of you.
PAC just doesn't need any help, he can take on Mexico all by himself!
LOL!

i think he was referring to racial slurs and those such things
thats cause they eat you, they like to eat humans, they say it tastes like potato.. thats why its called like that. "barrio potato"
ever been to the philippines?
These threads always end up being Philippines vs Mexico. And too much insult on both sides. Though sometimes funny, but a lot of times ridiculous.
Just keep the discussions to "about" the fighters. You guys all sound so tough. Why, it's the internet.. You guys are all pathetic.
I know for a fact that after the fight, some of you guys will post even more. And some will be posting way less.
WHY CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG    . lololololololol.
You're right, they are wankers.

Why r u comparing whose streets are tougher? Both places are dangerous. I am not that familiar with TJ, but from the news, there are the drug cartels overthere. As fas as General Santos, i have read and watch bombings, kidnapping, robberies, and murders overthere.
If i have a place to go on a few days trip, i'd rather go to TJ. At least if u obey the law, they leave u alone. If u go to GenSan and they found out if your a tourist(specially if ur a Filipino with US citizenship), they will rob or kidnap you.
there's a place in the PI i read about that if you're not from that place you should not go there. filipino or not you will not leave the place alive. its called barrio patay
Funny how none of the pinoys talk about how bad Morales was drained and look like he was about to pass out... Im gonna put that part on YouTube so all you nuthuggers can see why Morales lost to that overrated sack of shit Pacquiao.
have you done your homework its monday tomorrow.
Yeah let's actually make a post that involves the topic heading.
Well I just watched it. Was really good. I think the only odd part was them not talking at all about the Marquez fight. I think they should have. Although it didn't go well, it was a fight that further enhanced Manny's legacy on his punching power. Though they didn't talk about the Fahsan fight or Larios either so I guess they just didn't wanna fill time with unneeded crap. They gonna replay it on HBO2 a bunch of times so, you can always catch the replay though if you go to the Pacland website, they got links posted to youtube that got the entire thing. lata!
