He reminded me of Charlie Z.
It made some sort of sense in the first few rounds where they were cagey and close. But when he was doing it in the later rounds after getting battered around the ring for 3 minutes it looked insane.
I don't think he's even been a serious contender at 140 & 147, never mind a guy you could call a 'champion' without laughing.
A decent fighter but one of the most overhyped in my lifetime. Unbelievable how much heat the industry gave him 4/5 years ago, and how many people bought it.
I wouldn't say rooting for him, but I would laugh if he pulled it off because the Garcias have become more and more annoying over the years.
Especially this guy.

Floyd has always done this though, just not to the same degree. Always bends over to the point where no scoring areas are available for the opponent as well. But Floyd never gets official warnings or points taken away like regular fighters. He just gets told "C'mon Floyd" twenty or thirty times.
Larry, in a bid to make this happen I've DM'd Oscar your address with the following message:
"Hola Oscar. Espero que estés bien. Someone has left a bag of mysterious white powder at my house with your name on it, and it is making the dogs nervous. Please visit me at the listed address. I have provided a picture to ease your search.
With Kind Regards,

Will let you know once he hits me back.
Any word from Oscar, Larry? Nothing on my end yet.
He could have been a great boxer had he specialized in it.
Conor couldn't make the Irish national teams nor win national titles. He really wouldn't have been a great boxer.
Do a lot of posturing and unconventional stuff in the 1st. Try to pour it on in the 2nd. Realise half way though the 3rd he can't touch Floyd with anything. Get knocked out in the 4th.

The fight has no meaning at all to anyone except Jeff Horn so who cares really. Pac will probably earn more from a rematch than he would against anyone else. He could also take it as an opportunity to retire before some young guy gives him a real beatdown.
Kind of sucks for TC as well come to think of it. That was a torch passing moment he won't get now.
Weeks was horrendous but I think Kovalev just didn't have the mental game to come through that fight. Strongly suspect his conditioning work is not where it needs to be either.
Weeks really shat the bed. Can't trust him in big fights with Americans involved now. This isn't the first time.
Great performance by Ward though. Best fighter in the world. And I still don't think he's as good as he was 5 years ago.
Floyd stepped it for this press conference. Hadn't done that in years.
The fight itself isn't worth discussing, we all know that, but the build-up will be great. And it's all free.
I feel sorry for Ellerbe having to pretend he enjoys this hyper-macho environment. No wonder he looks uncomfortable. Leonard drinks good wine and listens to classical music in a bubble bath. He would much prefer to be patronising a design house than be surrounded by all that barking. I had to laugh when that dude introduced him as 'being known for his sense of style' :lol1:
Dana White is the biggest ***** ever. Conor rubs Floyds head right away Dana gets all nervous, guy is a ****ing fairy.
And people think Conor is racist because he rubbed Floyds head? What the **** is wrong with people these days?
Dana's worried it will cost him money.
I thought it was pretty close. Pac clearly wasn't expecting a hard night and Horn outworked him in 10 or 11 rounds. Horn didn't win 10 or 11 rounds, but with a big crowd cheering every punch he threw there was always a chance that the judges were going to be swayed. Obviously Manny's work was cleaner and more precise, but he didn't snap Horn's head back all that often either. Probably will be a lucrative rematch in it for both guys if Pac hasn't retired.
People acting like Horn didn't land any punches. What?? Is this the twilight zone?!
Horn troubled Pacquaio. Landed some really good solid punches especially the right. Defended well aswell.
Was a back and forth fight. I think in the 9th Pacquaio knew he was behind and tried to finish him but when he didn't he was out of gass.
Great fight.
The 9th was the only round Pac fought like he did in his prime. I thought he looked very rusty throughout and threw a lot of wide swings that missed by miles. Horn was strong and aggressive but there were loads of opportunities for Manny to nail him in every round. But Manny just wasn't sharp enough. And he wasn't really interested in a dog fight.
It wouldn't place him anywhere as within boxing it would be regarded as a complete fluke. It would be really bad for the image of boxing in the outside world though.
Zero chance of it happening in any case.
