Anyone else rooting for Broner?
Even if only for this fight?
I can't root against the underdog dawg.
It's entertaining when the heavy favorite is getting murked.
I don't have anything against Mikey.
I just feel Broner winning adds spice to the sport.
Garcia can always come back if he loses.
I want Broner to win. Mikey can ride a loss better than Broner plus I'ma sucker for Broner's sweet talk of how he's a changed man, gotta be a role model for his kids, he's an adult now with responsibilities, newfound respect for the sport, etc etc.
Ive yet to see Garcia overcome real adversity but Broner has shown that dog in him against Maidana so im rooting for him.
I cant get used to Garcia for some reason, that face.
But to answer the question, there's so much at stake for both fighters here. Broner loses again and he's pretty much done at the "elite" level, he'll just be a name unless it's a really close fight that could have gone either way. If Broner pulls it off though, he retains his "superstar" status and can work from there.
Mikey on the other hand, he's straight into the p4p list with this win. If he goes back down to 135 and beats Linares he'll crack the top 5. Then he can move back up to 140 and unify that division as well, the sky's the limit from that point forward for him. A loss would just be a simple set back, he will probably find it easier to get fights and might benefit from it strangely.
Pretty much what I've indicated in my first post.
Why does he "deserve" a good win? Im genuinely curious as to why u think that
Lol I was wondering the same thing as I read that post. Haha
... he doesn't deserve shit... but if he wins, he wins, right?
I agree. I don't see how Brother deserves anything. But if he wins fair and square? Then, hats off.
lol yea he does come off as a kunt in all of ellies vids, thats mikeys brotherThat's actually Robert's son. Robert is Mikey's brother.

Well, he gets sh*t on by everybody constantly like he's a bum. He has skill, is fun to watch and brings in good ratings....

i dont know. americans are soft thinking they deserve things like free boxing wins and health care. then the friendly republicans try to take it and away and kill them and they get mad. what a world.
I wouldn't say rooting for him, but I would laugh if he pulled it off because the Garcias have become more and more annoying over the years.
Especially this guy.
