totally agree, how must a fighter feel after a years of waiting for your career defining fight and then to be at the mercy of bad Judging.
Cotto was very graceful after the fight and summed up how he felt without too much bitterness. I had it Mayweather by 2 points but that is being generous.
Floyd won but the scorecards were a disgrace
Mayweather went into retirement rather than fight Cotto a few yrs back, now he fights Cotto at the right time, although it was a risky fight.
He's a master at waiting out his opponents until they are in decline. Roach knows this, we can tell by the relative silence that he's no longer convinced his man can win.
Floyd reminds me of Ali
I know I'll get some abuse for this but hear me out..!:boxing:
Neither fighter was known for power but there is something similar to the change in style as Floyd gets into his twilight yrs. The last 2 fights I've noticed Floyd is concentrating on power alot more, to compensate for his slowing agility as he gets older. It really reminds me of Ali when he was fighting in the mid 70s, he relied more and more on his ring savvy and loading up shots.
certain minerals and natural supplements if used in the right way can almost mimic growth hormones so this thread is a fail. He has a specialist mixing these brews up, totally legally.
The fans want Pac to go down for Bradley or up for Berto.. aint going to happen
Pac is Arum's new SRL.. Pac's next opponents will be hand picked past it u name it
How is Manny damaged goods? I don`t believe his preparation was thorough for this fight but the Manny which steps into the ring with PBF will be ready for sure, not that the fight will happen, Floyd ducked Margo and retired rather than face Cotto. His 0 means nothing now..
Forget rematches zzzz
Wd like to see him fight Berto because I am sure Floyd wants that fight as its one of the few good legitimate fights PBF know he can win. It wd really piss Floyd off if Manny got to Berto first.
Berto is the one isnt it? Unbeaten but beatable, hence Floyd knows that is one of the safest fights for him to take.. Manny shd get there first, he is the bigger draw so c'mon Arum, lets get it on!!
Hagler is right to say that Floyd was counting on Pac losing, so he could reclaim the p4p title, but his plan hasnt worked out and he is getting too rusty and old to fight Manny imo-
PBF needs the money, he WILL fight but I feel he will duck manny (purse excuse) and fight Khan
I was a big pac fan, I just see him continuing fighting bigger guys and getting damaged when these fights are no longer helping his legacy. I don't see why he should fight anymore to be honest, he's had alot of fights, the later ones take their toll on the health. I'm a bit disappointed in Roach, he's starting to remind me of Dundee/ Pacheco
Floyd is just waiting until the hard fights catch up with Pac or he gets beat and then he can avoid fighting him like he did with Cotto.
I was a massive Pac fan, an admission.. I turned down a 3some with 2 hot japanese chicks to catch the Pac/Cotto fight.
Kind of got bored after Cotto, never watched Clottey and just saw a repeat of Margo. Not interested in seeing him beat up an old Mosley(as long as he trains properly this time), Pac should have fought Berto imo
I just remember how SRL lost the true boxing fans by the time he fought Hearns 2, would hate to see that with Pac. Arum's milking is worse than King in some respects.
Champ KW, yes thats about right. The Floyd fight is 2 yrs overdue, I'm starting to believe it won't happen. Pac has lost some of his motivation which scares me to think he might get hurt over the next couple of fights. Roach knows Pac is his main motivation to carry on so he worries what will happen to him when pac has gone. Basically Arum and everyone else has a vested interest in Pac fighting as long as possible, I don't like it at all, he should be retiring about now.
WAKE UP
Its all crap from Mayweather camp, more excuses.. PBF always duck fighters until they get beat (ie Cotto) so they can say he was no good - then cherrypick
They hoped Pac wd lose to Cotto or Hatton or Clottey but it hasnt happened lol
What welterweight fights do you all wanna see, top 3, not floyd vs pac thats to obvious and I don't wanna turn this thread into a pac vs floyd debate.
Floyd Ortiz.. but that won't happen, PBF is a *****
If Pac keeps having hard fights, he might suddenly get shot like Hagler after Mugabi.. maybe and only then PBF will choose his moment.
PS Mayweather has avoided all his big threats by just waited for them to lose and then said "the guy wasnt up to my level anyway" He's been waiting for Manny to lose but it just did'nt happen, Manny is the GOAT.
My first post- got 2 weeks ban from esb for no reason imo so i thought bollocks to them
Cannot wait for this fight.. clever Floyd asking for 154 so he gets 147.. not catchweight. I just hope the gloves are 8 oz. Personally I think Pac needs to go to war from the opening bell- if he shows Floyd too much respect and gets pushed back then its all over!
I agree with the thread starter- he thinks the same as me, that it will go 12. The fight will be in Vegas which is PBFs hometown... judges can be bought.
He wasnt badly beaten by Morales. The guy only reached his potential under Roach so any loss pre Roach is not relevant to todays version of Pac.
Pre Diaz, lots of commentators said that Pac was on the slide.. funny that.
all i have to say is that if pac is angry, this is exactly what mayweather wanted. Basically, mayweather probably thinks at this point, when the fight happens, pac will be looking to kill him, which is exactly what he wants.
Personally I think that Pac thrives on being mad, he has a dark side.
Hatton just lost his nerve with the PBF mindgames prior to the fight, this is definately not going to happen with Pac.
