The predictable response of many in this forum for Pac's comment is derision and ridicule. That's understandable, since Floyd is older than Pac.
But let me ask you this:
which suffers from more wear and tear? The wheels on the car or the spare tire?
If Pac keeps having hard fights, he might suddenly get shot like Hagler after Mugabi.. maybe and only then PBF will choose his moment.
PS Mayweather has avoided all his big threats by just waited for them to lose and then said "the guy wasnt up to my level anyway" He's been waiting for Manny to lose but it just did'nt happen, Manny is the GOAT.
Stop lying. His last tough fight was in 2009. He hasn't had once since. Welcome to the ignore list.
Your a joke. Pac even said Margarito was his toughest fight yet you dont believe him? He took body punches from a very good body puncher 18lbs heavier. Dont tell Pac what he thinks please.
Margarito landed 100's of punches on Pac, when the average person in a lifetime wont get punched 5 times if they are lucky. Just because Pac outpointed Margarito easily, dont mean to say it wasnt a tougher fighter and more wearing than the fights he had with JMM. Just cos the JMM fights were closer dont mean to say they were tougher.
Understand?
Again Pac gets older than Floyd cos he is getting tough fights back to back to back, unlike Floyd.
All it took is for Cotto to have one loss, for the excuses to come out to discredit Pac that Cotto was shop worn on the basis of ONE loss to Margarito. So why doesnt that work and apply to Pac, who takes on all comers? OK Pac wins the fights, but there is still accumulative damage from someone who fights everyone. Why else even in sparring you have to take it easy sometimes, there is a fine line between being active and being damaged.

Considering Pac's style and activity, will it eventually takes its toll on his body? Now consider Floyd's style and inactivity. Which scenario will be more beneficial if they were to fight next year?
My thing is: you can always shake off ring rust, but cumulative damage and heavy training cant be erased.
Floyd knows what he's doing.
:lol1: You guys make this thing too complicated.
It's funny because being inactive supposedly hurts fighters, like Mosley being inactive for 1 year and a half before fighting Floyd, Judah being inactive for 400+ days before fighting Cotto, Winky being inactive for 2 years hurt him against Williams. Everybody said inactivity hurt them.
But no, for Floyd the chicken, inactivity is the best thing that can ever happen to him. Chickens actually get better with inactivity, I learned this on the Discovery Channel that is Boxingscene. Chickens are different than every other species on Earth, they are expected to survive even nuclear bombs.
You hit it right on the head Kev, look at the post above yours.
well pac is fighting his leftovers so floyd already fought those people..pac is making easy money fighting top rank bumms and damaged goods at catch weight.
This is true, but I doubt Floyd fights Pac, he may do a tune up and talk about Manny as a next fight so people buy his tune up. He will use Manny's name to sell his tune up.
Floyd trains a little all year round, but it's not as tough as a boxing training camp.
I don't know about him training all year round, seems like an exaggeration so provide a source. Nevertheless he's not fighting whereas pacquiao is, so it's not hard to figure out who's the fresher of the two.
nothing keeps you as sharp as actually being in a boxing match. FACT
I'm not talking about preparation i'm talking about being ACTIVE. There are very few if any fighter who will be good preparations for Floyd.

u guys are silly. could floyd be waiting for manny to get old? maybe...but how long is he gonna wait?? lol, the idea is absurd. by the time it would matter, the fight wont matter. manny isnt peak rite now imo. but neither is floyd. but if u think that by sitting out the ring, floyd is somehow preserving his skills and reflexes, ur just trolling. these lay offs have huge impacts on fighters, whether they keep in shape or not. a lot of boxing is pure muscle memory, if ur not practicing or even fighting in a timely manner, it takes a huge toll on ur skills. dont let it kid u. yes, floyd is a defensive fighter. but hes no bhop. hop fights very regularly, floyd doesnt.
i can see the argument if floyd was actually in the ring. but since he isnt and hes not really fighting anyone, it doesnt make sense to me.
yea, and when you've been training for the majority of your life it doesn't make much of a difference, you'll also be quick to pick it up if you are to pursue it again, now try rewinding the clock to have your body function with the stamina of a 20 year old
IMO, the more ACTIVE boxer will age less. A body in motion remains in motion. A less active guy will probably need to train harder
i think Pacquiao training for 2 fights per year vs. a guy who wastes away fighting one fight every 2 years will be in better shape. of course this only lasts a certain point...people get old no whatever how well they condition their bodies.
Floyd had better grow a pair of balls soon. He's got brittle hands. Accidents happen. Health problems happen.
Floyd had better stop suckin on 50 cent's cock and man up soon.
It's amazing how many boxing 'fans' and 'followers' don't understand "ring years".
That's not to say you have to agree with what Manny's saying. Indeed, to a large extent I don't agree with it.
But the fact that some don't even understand what he means, or can't because they're so blinded by hate, is worrying. And very sad.
cause flomos are dumb as fukk or they are purposely deceitful.

in the long run, pac's wear-n-tear is worse than wifebeater's lay off.
wifebeater came outta retirement and didn't look rusty against jmm. you know wifebeater is a gymrat and always in good shape. the long layoff isn't gonna effect him like the wear-n-tear pac is getting from fighting bigger guys.
wifebeater wants to do what SRL did to Hagler... wait until he slowed down then take the fight.

agreed. floyd isn't getting any younger.
