Lets face facts, David Haye is a ****ing joke. Ran from Valuev all night long, didn't throw one jab the whole fight, and landed about 3 punches per round. Would Wlad have done that? No ****ing way. Wlad would have actually stood and fought with Valuev.
Valuev landed more punches, PERIOD. I don't give a shit about those few hard punches landed by Haye.
All Haye did was run. This guy never needs to open his stupid mouth again about Wlad and Vitali.
Surprise surprise another blind member on Boxingscene.
TWAT!
its because the hate is based not on skill but on image. And when there's nothing else to say then they turn on the challenger.
Very very true!
For real, his image can be annoying but I don't hate him for it. As someone who trains as an amateur boxer I appreciate every ounce of his skill in the ring. I've never heard a PBF hater actually criticise his ability!
Quite simply, the sweet science of boxing is an art form. Being a top pugilist requires technique and skill.
Check out the training forum for more info.
UFC has a strict rule set just like Boxing and the Marquess of Queensbury rules. But to the untrained eye it appears as if UFC has no rules, and that's why it appeals to so many people. The casual UFC fan sees the action as being closer to a street brawl. That's the unique selling point for the UFC IMO. The fighters are very well conditioned and skilled but I'm afraid the majority of UFC fans are in it for the brawl and beat down factor.
Personally I prefer boxing. Different sport so can't even really compare them.

I love the way people accuse Floyd of running!
Try getting in a boxing ring, and try to do what he does! You'll soon find that's it's an extremely difficult skill and requires such a rediculously high level of fitness. I think many forget the art of boxing is to hit and not get hit, and Floyd is quite simply a master of the art form.
Getting in the ring and sparring has made me appreciate what Floyd does even more than before. You'll understand what I'm saying if you're ever caught on the ropes with someone throwing bombs at you!
:boxing:
Its clear hatton was winning untill the ref upset hatton's rhythm. I mean how the fuck can deducted a point for hitting the rope? wft he hit the rope no his head! Why the hell was meayweather allowed to get away with it? He hit hatton more times around the head than hatton hit him around the back of the head. Mayweather was also cheating by lowering his bead below hatton belt now are you allowed to do that in boxing? NO your not. Mayweather should of been deducted points for thats. It was clear the ref was on the pay role by mayweather. If it wasnt for the constant upsent in Hatton's rhythm he would of won!
Please tell me you're joking!
Ricky wasn't landing clean, his punches were hitting Floyds shoulder, arms and glove, but Floyd kept hitting Hatton with lovely crisp jabs, 3 in a row at times. Floyd also kept landing by leading with his well disguised right hand cross. Don't let patriotism get in the way of clear thinking bro! Along with my own boxing coaches my heart was with Hatton, but my head said Mayweather all the way! The punch Hatton threw at the back of Mayweathers head didn't connect but he was deducted the point for intent. People can say what they want about the ref, but it wasn't the ref that gave Hatton that left hook that sent him bouncing off the corner then into the canvas! The shot was pure skill and class!
Hatton fought his heart out and did himself proud, but Mayweather is one of the best fighters ever and there's no shame in losing to him.
Do you guys think it could be a lack of financial incentive for youngsters?
For example, I'm from the UK and some of these 16,17 and 18 year old football players are already getting paid high amounts of money. Now obviously they train hard, but imagine being of that age and training just as hard, as well as getting repeated blows to the head and gruelling punches to the liver, waking up at 5 a.m to do jogging and sprints and thats long before your professional career takes off!!! Of course its not all about the money, but at 16,17 and 18 you can understand a kid not undertaking boxing and going with another sport where the financial rewards come a hell of a lot earlier.
Just a thought not gospel, but do you guys think a similar thing could be happening in the US?
As far as these 3 fighters are concerned I think it's a case of you don't know what you've got till it's gone. They're criticised now, but once they've retired the boxing scene will probably miss them, they won't be the first boxers for that to of happened too.
I've only just started boxing, and consequently only just recently started schooling myself on past and present fighters technically, so I wouldn't say I know enough to criticise any professional boxer on their technique.
To be honest, it doesn't matter where the hell the boxer is born! We just need the heavyweight scene to be revived full stop regardless! It does seem like big strong natural athletes are choosing to take up other sports rather than boxing.
LoL...
So all my coverage of Boxing comes via net lol
Coverage for Boxing in UK is dying,.,
Still thats another story for another time...
I hear this episode is ODH and Mayweather taking you around there
homes and training camps should be cool
Representing London UK here! They showed it on Sky Sports last week. Didn't catch all of it unfortunately.
Tyson is too stupid to be able to learn any MMA skills. He could learn boxing but not MMA it takes more brains.
Do you box yourself? If you did you'll know that it's far from simple to learn which is why it's called the sweet science. Don't get it twisted!
I saw a video on youtube where big Bob Sapp called out Iron Mike Tyson. Tyson stepped into the ring and told him if it's Queensbury rules he'll fight him that same night (Witha big grin on his face) He laso told Sapp to sign the contract if he wants to get it on!
I like and respect MMA but I prefer boxing.
:boxing:
TSN is supposed to be showing it at 11 pm EST, 8 pm Pacific.
I'm watching it live on a small screen on my computer.
Is it on a live internet feed somewhere?
What about the allegations that Someone shouted 'Body Shot', then the punch landed?
Im not sure about this, i took De La Hoya's word for it, but again im not sure,
My best friends fav fighter is DLH and says Oscar defenatley took a dive, thing is, why would he do that for hopkins?
I remember watching it on youtube and it does sound like you hear "bodyshot" shouted out quite a few times.
Let me start by saying this, my coach is an idiot. His idea of amatuer boxing is two guys standing in the middle of the ring slugging it out. He expects us to constantly throw punches with the other opponent, which can definately get your ass knocked out. Anyways, he gets mad at me when I try to "box" my opponents, you know, a quick combo and then get back and then come back in with another combo. Should I switch gyms or are all coaches like this?
Definatly switch gyms! Is he like that with everyone at your gym? I've heard of some coaches who take an interest in certain students and kinda neglect others leaving them to develop bad habits and poor technique.
Nobody is beating Mayweather in his prime. And I don't want to hear that Hatton was overated or any excuses. Lets give Floyd credit, people on here for a very long time have been saying Floyd should fight Hatton. Now he did, and he won. Mayweather is a great fighter and deserves respect. Hes earned it..
Well said!
A massive ring and a biased ref goes a long way.
Absolute bollocks!!!
fucking clowns
booing the american national anthem
Floyd got in that ass wooooooooo
Have to admit, that was very disrespectful and didn't do them any favours with the American public!
LMFAO
Brits have been owned!
Nope, just Hatton!
A massive ring and a biased ref goes a long way.
The fight was made for Mayweather with these two advantages.
Imo, Ricky should've taken him out in the first but the ref stepped in.
Even more bollocks!!!
True, but there's definitely a certain dialect that's appeared in recent decades which is unlikely to have occurred absent immigration.
More so in the last 2 decades I'd say.
Slang in Tottenham, where I grew up was different in the 80's/90's compared to now, closer to the Caribbean influence as 2nd / 3rd generation mixed with traditional cockney accents.
Difference is my generation dropped in/out of slang depending on the environment. Today's generation are unapologetic about the language they use.
I know my post history (I don't post that much).
I'm not sure where you're from but in the UK "roadman" is definitely a black slang term, said only by people who speak with that ugly contrived ghetto accent. I don't care if you think that's racist, I'm a proud Englishman who wants to uphold good literary standards and to use proper speech.
Strange comment considering the wide range of accents we have in England from South West to North East.
Boxing is a sport! When you're in the ring, you don't care about being entertaining, you're just focused on winning. That's called being professional! Regardless of if you like the Klitschko's style or not, they get in the ring, stay focused, remain professional and win! That's what a boxer is meant to do. Being entertaining is just a bonus for the crowd. Even at amateur level I've seen people try to be entertaining and end up getting there ass beat, badly!
Give the guys a break, they're beating whoever comes across their path.
Yes, and the working class areas where there has been high immigration all have become tinged with that ghetto slang I am referring to. You must have noticed it. It's most pronounced in London of course, where the cockney accent has virtually died (but still exists in Essex) and been replaced with that "get me fam" dialect. Interesting anthropologically, but I don't like it.
Working class areas have always been dominated by slang not viewed as Queens English, long before the influence of immigration.
Are you kidding me? Haye is not very good. Here's a copy of my post from another forum:
Another very respectable poster from here gave a similar and slightly more detailed analysis. Don't expect this guy to compete with the top dogs at HW. He just doesn't know how to box nearly well enough.
With that said it was an exciting moment, last night's fight.
Just watched the video on youtube and I see what your saying. His right hand really drops when he threw that hook and also it drops quite a way when he jabs.
Is there a reason why coaches wouldn't of corrected this a long time ago?
Do you have a link to the more detail analysis?
