Mayweather landed effective punches all night, all Hatton was doing was wrestling the whole fight. Dont act like Hatton didnt get his head snapped back several times. It was only those suck ass British fans who made it seem like Hatton was winning. Because anytime he even tapped Floyd, they would scream like it was a knockdown. Pathetic. Meanwhile there was little fan fair each time Mayweather stuck a quick one in, making it seem to these yellow teeth whores that Hatton was banging Floyd. Only shots Hatton could get were in tie ups, and Mayweather guarded himself well enough to take the close shots. But when the tussling broke up you knew who was better. Bottomline, be quiet.

Hatton was beat by the better man but his heart has made sure he goes home with his pride intact. Props to PBF for showing more humility in the post fight interview than anyone thought he could/would.

Ricky deserves the same credit he always gets for fighting above and beyond his own abilities. I was surprised that he was matching up so well into the middle rounds. As always, I like the guy but he was never going to take this fight. It became obvious when he fell into long clinches without really connecting that it was a matter of time for Mayweather. Also, Hatton singularly failed to bodyshot Floyd when Floyd left his left side open to the wind (which he did constantly) during the clinches. Hatton never threw that right. Mayweather is a superior fighter to Hatton. That was never a surprise to me. The knockout was superb and WAS a surprise to me. Credit to Mayweather. Lets see him against Williams and Cotto and then we can REALLY start discussing legacy.
