Compare the shot Oscar took to this one.
Watch around 3:30 and you will see a body shot ala bernard hopkins... Same shit happened to Oscar.. further makes me believe he didn't take a dive.
He never took a dive but he could of got up..
He put all his effort into banging the canvas while he was down he should of used that effort to get off the floor..
No way he took a dive. No fighter wants to go out like that. I think he was caught with a great body shot. Saying he took a dive, is taking away from BHOP.
ha haaa... I knew something was up. I came back and have been a bit of an asshole lately though haven't I? starting arguments saying shit I dont really mean and baiting people for no reason.. Im surprised ya'll dont hate me by now lol.. Anyway I promise to stop and return to my good ole self.. :D

I have the usual projects going..
The one I'm most excited about falls in the category of "human experiments."
Give me your honest opinion of this before and after:

Please explain the reasoning behind Oscar throwing the fight with Bernard...What benefit did Bernard actually bring to the table.
Now if in Oscar's contract they had a stipulation if he lost X amount of fights he was released that would be believable...But in all seriousness explain why he would throw the fight especially with a subpar attraction known as Bernard Hopkins?
Oscar didnt throw that fight dont be stupid...Oscar believed he was ahead more than 3 rounds and figured he could cruise and at least one judge would toss him a round or two....
First off it's just my opinion, if you dont believe it then thats fine. But a fighter like Oscar whos had so much experience in Las Vegas in the biggest fight of his life (at the time) to just cruise and rely on the judges is just so hard for me to believe. Any boxing fan would say relying on the judges in Vegas in a fight promoted by Arum & King is the dumbest thing you can do, but Oscar never thought that? I think Oscar could have knocked him out if he wanted to, he was that dominate. Oscar just said after his fight with Mayweather, "as a champion you always wanna get the knockout"; but I guess Tito's smile made him the exception for Oscar. Even after the fight, he felt he was ripped off, it was the first loss of his career and he was smiling taking it very lightly....I just dont buy it.

He never nearly dropped Oscar... wtf are you talking about? You spew alot of bs out your messages on these forums.and you don't? you're one of the worst i've seen on this forum. it's funny how to bring up the oscar-floyd fight when this thread is about hopkins-de la hoya. sounds like you're still mad about the fight, and are still whining about it. you want some cheese with that little crybaby?:offtopic:
He might've taken a dive as in gave up, but I can absolutely guarantee you oscar would never throw a fight at that point in his career. Even the idea of him "giving up" is unlikely, as he was ahead on most scorecards at the time and you know he would have loved to have used the judges as an excuse if he lost a UD.
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Spinksjinx! Whats up!! :wtf:
Thats good that your back. Feels like old times on here right now. All we had to do now is get Zabkillsspinks back...You think Cory has a chance against Jermain Taylor?
Being a Spinks fan I would like to think so...If the ring is big enough and Spinks can stay light on his feet maybe...But remember he got knocked out by Zab Judah I can only imagine the terror that Jermain would bring to him..He better be quick is all I can say and be on his bicycle if he wants to last...Its a big mismatch but being a fan I keep hope alive since Taylor isnt incredibly fast anymore.
I dont think he was faking it. I took a shot like that in the gym once, it doesnt physically hurt really bad but all the air in your body just leaves and it feel like you can do nothing about it but keel over. When Oscar went down from that I said to myself "I know that feeling."
I think Oscar threw his fight against Trinidad. Everyone said no no, he ran out of gas. My question is, if he ran out of gas then why was he dancing around the ring for four rounds to get away from Tito? Cuz people who are tired dont do that. He dominated the first half to show people he's the better boxer and he toyed the second half to throw it away. I dont even care if Oscar and Tito have a rematch anymore.

Relaxing man, finished up with a bunch of stuff and just take a few months off to relax and ready to talk boxing again....

Did he take a dive against Hopkins? He not only took a dive, he should have gotten an "Oscar" for the performance !
Two hours later they are business partners ------ hmmm.....
Lets be honest though, there is no real evidence that Oscar took a dive. Its all speculation. I speculate that Oscar did not take a dive. I can't imagine Bernard Hopkins asking Oscar to lose so he can join Golden Boy. Just can't see it. I also can't see Oscar losing on purpose ecspecially when he was doing good in the fight.
