This right here is excessive:
Yeah, i thought it was excessive as well. When it gets abusive like it becomes hard to watch the fight. Like watching a movies as your friend keeps on pausing ton his hidden remote, gets annoying.
Many different views on this subject my friends. People have came on the show and expressed dislike for it and others say like it or not it is a part of boxing. My question warrants a good logical answer and if you could provide a fight that backs up your assesment of the rule that would be great....Lefty
It's up to the ref brah, when should the ref start calling it excessive is the real question.
147 to 145, 2 pounds, get over it.
Taking off pounds is a b!tch, the extra pound you gotta drop feels like an eternity. Also depend how much weight he gained on his time off.
At 154?, i'll still go with Duran. I don't think Mayweather's philly shell will work against one of the best technicians who has a crazy inside game, and a great shin. What is he gonna do to stop the freight train? I don't see it. Duran by late KO.
"Montreal version of Duran" LOL, people doing the "versions" and "motivated" thing again. Nobody ever has to use those for floyd because he always comes ready. Floyd by UD. Just floyd, not super saiyan floyd or "prime motivated floyd" or "pre buster douglas, round 4 of larry holmes style floyd". Just floyd.
Don't forget , "not the Floyd that fought Castillo 1th", or the Floyd that "was doing the judah dance in the 2nd round against Mosley". lol
EM has been very vocal about wanting a fight w/ JMM, did anyone from JMM respond to it, i might have missed it. if JMM needs that last money fight in his career, which i'm not expecting to come from pac anytime soon, this is the fight for him.
or is he officially retired?
I doubt it, people don't want to face REALITY, Marquez and Morales are in two totally different places in their careers as of now. That fight has a nice ring to it, but it has far more potential to become a disaster ala; Bernard Hopkins vs Roy Jones Jr II.
The only way this is going to happen is if Morales beats Garcia, which is a tough task in it's self.
Is he still an unclassy douche for the Roach thing, or has he redeemed himself?
One thing about the Roach incident, im not saying it was OK for him to do that. However Rios has an extreme personality, you do one thing to him, and he'll get you twice as hard back. Think twice before starting something with Rio's name on it, since you MIGHT not like whats coming back to you,
Dereck Chisora, that fool literally is all action.

"Do G's get to go to heaven, cus Chisora wants to know"
bonofide OG, don't raise'em like that no mo!
Lol, this is some funny ***** right here. JMM has been robbed more than once, i don't blame him when you can't get a fair shake in this business.
And yes, he did beat Pacquiao in their 3rd fight, it was a Marquez highlight reel for crying out loud, lol.
Do you think they could get away with fighting guys like Likar ramos, that Russian JMM just fought, or cherry pick Gesta a guy who isn't even a contender status yet?
I think Pacquiao and Floyd get hated on hard because when you are FAMOUS and the stars in your sport people like to discredit you, I'm not really impressed with Marquez resume, his legacy and name relies on Pacquiao, nobody calls Ken Norton a great or Ali over hyped after struggling with Norton.
Marquez shouldn't get excused he needs to be hated on the same why you guys hate on Pac and Floyd but even worse because he is really cherry picking a green, no name kick boxer like Gesta and ducking a faded and washed up Erik Morales.
Likar Ramos? come on man at this stage why is a guy many of you calling the BEST better than Pacman, fighting a guy like Likar Ramos, some Russian, and now Gesta?
Imagine again if Floyd and Pac said I need a tune up against Likar Ramos first or let me fight Gesta lol.
They would be blasted like no tomorrow.
It shows how lame boxing fans are, always hating on who is on top and really nitpicking their career, Go nitpick other fighters too, stop focusing on Floyd and Pac.
I guess they want to look cool and hip by not going with the top dog and saying some unknown guy is better. Just stop it Pac and Floyd got to the top because they worked hard and earned it. They aint fighting some Likar Ramos types as tune ups. I dont even think Pac and Floyd have tune up fights anymore to think of it.
They've done it in the pass, everyone does it. After getting Robbed off his victory, i don't blame him, get money cuz people ain't getting a fair shake anyways. Can't be mad.
Trust me, everyone is about to jump in and go "WTF!?!?! Duran murders him!"
But honestly at 135 in their prime, Mayweather frustrates him, most likely make him quit like Leonard did in their 2nd fight.
But that wasn't Duran in his prime on the 2nd fight. Gain too much weight on his off time, while the rematch was made fast because of it.
You're dreaming, Duran has on of the best inside games in history, power in both hands, great chin, and boxing IQ. NO way Mayweather makes it to the final bell, probably tko's Floyd on the ropes.
Who wins this one in a 12 rounder?
Duran would KO Floyd. FLoyd is going against one of the best inside games in the history of boxing, power in both hands, a great chin, and great ring IQ. Duran breaks him down, probably tko's floyd on the ropes.
It's disgusting to talk about skin being superior to others, no matter what side it is or the reason.
Opal has showed his true colors to say the least. Pathetic

Maybe you're not mature enough to deal with biological facts.
Seems like you're not mature enough to interact with people socially. Like words have no meaning at all.
Never really followed Chavez career as i thought he was a joke.
But take look at his fight against Lee, it looked like Chavez was walking down lee while limping, leg cramping up. It actually looked like he could've finished him earlier, and even when Lee did out worked Chavez, He got hurt bad, twice in the early rounds, where he got hurt at the end and the bell saved Lee. Even if you say Lee was a bum, he took him out how he was suppose to.
Don't sleep on this kid,
This will be one hell of the fight, if Chavez can take Martinez's power, Martinez is in for one long night.
may the best man win.
Look at you pansies, no one mf is saying he has to get in there with Golovkin, if he can truelly make 154lbs, that would be a great style matchup.
And i still believe FLoyd is too quick on his feet and too smart to get caught clean, Golovkin is a little too slow however he makes up in power, but FLoyd would have to be on his A game with no slip ups.
Lara needs to take this, at least it would be a good step up from his last opponent. He needs to stay busy if no one is giving him a shot, better yet, needs to stay busy against the guys WHO ARE giving him a shot to improve his record.
Just watched it, it was good.
i always knew JCC.Jr wasn't a trash talker, he looked like he thought "man all this **** is whack, why are we even doing this" at times. Like he's actually fed up, and just wants to fight.
Martinez sounds(reads, lol i don't speak spanish) like he came prepared before hand. Sounds confident, maybe a little over confident for my taste, had nice responses.
This is going to be a great fight.:boxing:
He's right about one thing, if he fought Gesta and stopped him, everyone will just say Gesta is another bum or something. Jason Litzau was more proven when Broner fought him than Gesta. Eloy Perez was unbeaten and at least in the Top 10 at 130, and everyone called him a bum after Broner stopped him. It would be no different with Gesta.
Not many big options for Broner on October 6th. But out of the LW's available, I'd like to see him fight Sharif Bogere or maybe even Raymundo Beltran. They are in the Top 10, would be solid fights for his 135 fight in October. Than, target the Burns-Mitchell/Gesta-Vazquez/DeMarco-Molina winners for early 2013.
ahhhhhh no symphanty for POOR BRONER?
"Man i never get a fair shake"
Lol, theres no if's, People are gonna say this or that, Gesta is a bum, period.
ELoy Perez has an puffed up record, look at his resume for crying out loud.
Broners only noticeable fight was when he tried to step up in comp against PDL, a smaller fighter at that, and could've very well lost that too.
Thats what it is, no sugar coating, hating, none of that, that's where he stands.
You can hype this guy up, but if you ask me, he overrated.
ya cowards is what they are i hate them guys that act the big man when they have a few people with thm
Yeah , and when they're alone, they sucker punch your ass, damn cowards don't have any balls.
lifting weights doesnt mean you can fight...how can lifting a weight make you a skilled fighter????i'll take a 60 year old ex boxer over some dude who just lift weights any damn day
If the muscular guy can walk through your punches, it can cause problems. But the boxer has a better chance of coming out on top.
street fight or in the ring?
lol, how was Ortiz being outclassed when his punches were landing cleaner as the rounds passed. Ortiz was countering pretty good if you asked me, and that's not even his style! His hand and foot speed was all good on the 4th, and when he got Floyd against the ropes, he connected. Truth is that nobody can say anything, we didn't even see the whole fight unfold and it was starting to get good. That's not to say that Floyd didn't, because he also looked good.
And GTFO, Floyd was throwing elbows, that m@ther****er throws them out when you get inside, and pushes them against your head to move you easier! That's illegal . Sometimes you get away from using the elbow to press on the body and create room, but you can't use it all day without warnings. And worst of all he throws them at your face. Are you surprised that at the 4th Ortiz threw the headbutt in exactly the same position where Floyd had already thrown and connected elbows on Ortiz?
And Floyd did not sucker punch Ortiz in retaliation, he's done that sh!t before. Some guys don't mind winning like that and he's one of them.
:bottle:
