It would be if he was fighting those guys when they were 40 years old. Anyway I am picking very old Pacquiao to win and shut loud mouthed bragger Thurman up. That is what I hope will happen. A Pac KO win would be even better. I used to like Thurman but he turned into an awful bragger and has been disrespecting his fellow boxers a lot.
He probably feel this wway cuse his fighting absolute legend and ATG no matter how old he is ,Mannys name is huge.
How is Floyd and Manny ,Marquez and many others look better in late 30s then in 20s ? after years of fighting and abusing theyr Bodys in hard training? Pro sport is not healthy this guys must help themselfs with PEDs im almost 99% sure
Guy is fighting hard fights whole career ,when he want to get paid its insane ? give me a break with this diva BS ,guy fought both Cuadras and Estrada in wars ,theres live after boxing
I think Canelo would be the #1 guy on ESPN if he wins. He already got #1 vote from Joe Cortez and Bernard Osuna (not surprisingly) so if he beats GGG who is #1 its very likely the guys voting GGG#1 vote Canelo #1.
I am sure Ring, owned by ODH, will find a way to have Canelo #1 as well.
I will check TRBR's list since its at least credible.
Ward beaten Kovalev a guy with decent resume ,he arguebly lost to him in 1st ,He has 1 good win over Kessler ,Canelo has win over Lara and Trout ,1# and 2# in 154 at the time +Cotto ,if he will beat GGG he will dominate his 2nd class just like Ward did.
They became very close in the end.
Brothers of Descrution.
Not sure if they fought after that I stopped watching in 2002
this was one hell of a long storyline ,hard to fallow it up now
True, but how many of them have been steered into real estate and residential rentals, and annuity investments, and gone broke?
Because the real estate, residentials, the $12m per year for the rest of his life annuity that he had before the Alvarez fight, and the host of other income-generating investments are all spinning off money to Floyd without him every having to touch the principal.
Floyd spends money, but it should also be clear that he owns a ton of stuff too, free and clear of any mortgage payments.
Servicing everything likely doesn't come cheap, but he owns his jet, owns his boat, owns a fleet of cars, owns his homes; heck, he owns his own strip club now.
Outside of the cost to tour the world, and buying the occasional extra car/watch/bag, what is there really for Floyd to spend money on?
Paul Williams saw his boxing career cut short, but he'll be good for the rest of his life; his camp had the foresight to put his money into residential rentals, he now has Paul Williams Property Management, and he can live off of the rents that he charges for the rest of his life.
thats all true ,but owning things cost aswell ,ofc his not broke ,but everybody can be broke ,real estate was shocked in 2008.
In a era where "oh he ducked him" counts towards your resume and titles being handed to a fighter makes them great..Hell atleast Cotto fought ATG fighters and certified hall of famers
Cotto is a legend:boxing:
