For a guy name just the facts you seem pretty opinionated.
Usyk kills either of them
Have you watched Usyk fight? I've only seen him fight twice but the Uysk I watched won't come close to beating Ward or Kovalev.
Is this another race thing or are you truly this stupid? Ward or Kovalev easily beat Usyk. EASILY!

He should defend his titles and clean out 175.
Then if he wants to test himself at heavyweight make it his last fight.
There are no John Ruiz level belt holders right now though.
Joseph Parker is Ruiz level opponent. Dude's horrible. I don't think he can outbox Wilder or AJ for 12 rounds. CW has some dangerous fights, but a lot of them are very beatable. Gassiev (who I realllly like), is still extremely raw and can be outboxed. Even old Levedev was outboxing a lot. Briedis is also raw and can be outboxed. Dangerous puncher though. Usyk is an interesting fight - they're both highly skilled, but neither is a huge puncher. That can be a great chess match.
Having said that, I'm generally against any LHW moving up to CW. That weight difference is just too much. You'd never be a true champion and would have to cherry pick your opponents (like Ruiz).
Personally I believe 190 is quite underrated. I just can't imagine Ward succeeding against a guy like Usyk. Ward showed he can outboxed on the outside by someone like Kovalev, imagine if a much bigger fighter with a much longer reach like Usyk was on the other end. It's a nightmare matchup for Ward.
I think Ward beats 90% of the guys of the division, he probably loses to Usyk and Gassiev, but beats mostly everybody else.
His speed and reflexes at that weight would be insane, guys would have serious trouble landing on him. Guys had trouble with Bellew's speed and reflexes, you can imagine what Ward would do.
Bellew went from getting a whopping from Stevenson to knocking out Masternak, Makabu (top 10 cruiser) and Flores, all previously unstopped. Vlasov is another guy that moved up and defeated Chakhiev.
Cruiserweight is 200lbs. :dunce:.
That's the limit, a lot of guys come in below that though. Makabu, a top 10 cruiser was 196 against Bellew. Bellew himself was 199 but was mostly carrying fat and water weight. Glowacki 198 carrying a lot of fat etc.
HW and LHW leave cruiser relatively weak.
he won't move. imo ward will fight a couple more of times, maybe stevenson, then another easy fight and retired, the guy doesn't give a **** about the sport anyways.
What makes you say that? Ward has literally dedicated his life to boxing.
Back on topic, a fight with Bellew would be cool to see. Ward gets hurt against real HW contenders....a fight with Joshua is out of the question.
No i fully support the move up. Id love to see ward face Joshua and eat one of his right hands flush.
Ward is a cheater and i dislike people like that. Fake ass christian.
Lets see him eat a right hand from a HW and convulse on the canvas like an infantile retard.
Fuk ward
Though I think he can be competitive at cruiser, I don't think it's a good idea. I didn't even think 175 was a good idea but he proved me wrong. He's not big at 175 though. He's going to be dwarfed at cruiser and there ar eno money fights for him there because Americans are oblivious to that division (unfortunately).
PLENTY of good fights at 175. Beat Stevenson. Maybe take a Golovkin mega-fight. Go fight Degale in the UK at catchweight. Unless he wants to prove something to himself or his kids, there's no reason to go to cruiser. The fans aren't calling for it.
Any power that Ward had at 168-175 would be nonexistent at CW, and the CWs will probably be hitting harder than Kovalev and Stevenson. Standing in front of Gassiev with no power is like shooting at a bear with a slingshot. I know Gassiev is slow, but the weight gain will slow Ward down enough to where some punches will land. Ward won't be able to wrestle with the CWs either because he'd wind up tiring himself out. He'd have to change/abandon certain tactics against the CWs.

Yeah that's the thing. There are lots of good fighters in this weight class.
Stevenson, Joe Smith if he beats Barrera, Alvarez, Gvozdyk, Beterbiev, winner of Monaghan-Browne, Bivol eventually, Badou Jack
190 is not nearly as good as 175, Bellew already has beaten a top 10 cruiser and was knocking out guys that had never been stopped.
Guys like RJJ were going 10 rounds with punchers like Lebedev, these guys hit hard, but have trouble landing their shots.
175 is arguably the best division in boxing, perfect mix of skill and power. Even 190's champion Usyk, has been rocked and put down by Beterbiev in the amateurs.

Let's be real, Ward moving up in weight again is a terrible idea | BoxingScene Community
