Heres another funny eubank article:
http://www.suntimes.co.za/1998/09/27/arts/ane04.htm
"We made love four times that night and he said I was gorgeous. But he didn't satisfy me once and I thought sex was overrated. :lol1: :lol1: :lol1:
Its funny how a woman can turn when she has left you isnt it.
Both Super_Lightweight and Raesaad, said that Tszyu did not train for the 2am fighting. Firstly this is not true. Secondly, that did not meet Hatton's desired time, but he adapted. If Tszyu did not train for that time, it is nobody's fault other than his own. But because he did begin to train at least one month before the fight in England for that time (2am) the point is void.
He came over to England one month before the fight to check the area that he would be fighting in. The ring, meet the refs, and hold a press conference. From this point, he remained in England training in preparation for 2am.
well is he i have never seen him fight does any one know where i can download his fights for free.
Im not sure, but why are you so interested in finding out about him?
Hell NO, he didn't lose against Douglas.
Douglas's count was to like 15 by the time that bitch got up.
Tyson easy made his own 10 count even though the ref waived it off, and he even took the time to grab his mouth piece rather than spitting it out for extra time like some people.
Thanks for mentioning that. Something that a lot of people miss.
ok, ill break it down for yall discowery channel nuthuggers..
the countries in the commonwealth is kinda owned by the uk.
the uk is kinda owned by the us.
and the us is definatly owned by israel..
who are the kids in chicken yellow uniforms fighting israels wars in the middle east..? :D
UK is kinda owned by the US?
No, it isnt.
Source? or did you make this one up? Always post a link hoss, I don't think anyone has heard anything of the sort.
Well its a rumour, i dont have a source. But i didnt make it up. Someone told me it is a possibility, but i doubted straight away.
I agree with JuyJuy on Scott Harrison though, he is a fighter who relies on the old school tactics to get the work done. I actually think that is a much more British, Welsh, Scottish, Irish way of training. Using blood sweat and tears to get whatever done, whereas perhaps other nations rely a lot more on running machines and the new technology. Or is this just a stereotype that i am misunderstood on?
Either way. Naz comeback. Its gonna be great.
There is no such thing as a lucky punch all punches are thrown with the intent of hitting the other guy sometimes you do sometimes you don't.That punch was brewing in Tarver for years. :)
I think "lucky" punches exist...
Say, perhaps 2 fighters are just brawling and throwing bombs. The control isnt really there... they are like fighting on the inside and just throwing everything they have. Thats when the boxing goes out the window and the sweet science no longer plays a part. Its then down to who lands the shot that puts the other one out... not a conscious decision to land a shot... just like a wild swing. So in my opinion lucky shots exist.
That shot however, was not lucky. I actually think Roy was using the wrong defensive method. He was backing out and leaning back slightly, whilst not having his hand in the right place to block the punch from Tarver, or his eyes fixed in the right position to not get blind sided.... Good shot either way. :boxing:
Thats quite a post, if thats for real, naz is a cheeky little monkey. But what goes around comes around, like him getting a beating. :D
Its well known their relationship is love/hate. I wouldnt doubt that its true or not. It may be a slight exagerration, as of course, we dont get Naz's point of view.
Either way Naz is a greater fighter for me than Eubank.
Because Duane Ford mistakinly gave the 12th round to Taylor.
;)
Haha.
Ok so you would'nt argue that Taylor had the right gameplan on the night? By the sound of the reports, it would seem that Taylor quite purposefully tried to take the earlier rounds and then just survive the final ones and maybe even win one or two of them to leave him 3 rounds ahead, or something of that sort.
I agree, The Truth.
I think that when you are reading people's opinion's, dilute what they are actually saying, and then you reach the real reason why they are saying it. I think people go to extreme's sometimes like "Mike Tyson fought nobody", but if you where around then you would realise he was fighting anyone and everyone that came in his path and that Don King put in front of him.
I think Taylor is going to win it again. He knows he won once and knows he can do it again.
Yeah exactly. If he can do it once he can definetly do it again. He has the edge, as i mentioned in my last post. But also Hopkins is not shot by any means. He can still win, and quite convincingly in my opinion.
Having said that, i just see it going the same way as Jones-Tarver. Tarver winning consecutively, and therefore Taylor winning consecutively.
Its a really close match up.
The last bout they had, a lot of people were saying that Hopkins won it. The fact Taylor won it goes to show the fine line between success and failure. I will predict a late TKO or UD for Taylor. It will go down to the wire i think, but psychologically, of course, Taylor has the advantage. He has won the last fight and i think this will deeply affect the game plan that Hopkins used last time. Hopkins obviously chose the most comfortable fight plan for him in the first bout. The fact that he is going to have to change it may also influence the outcome.
But basically, its a Taylor win for me.
King wants Holyfield in the tournament aswell!
I'm not sure what to think about this tournament? :dunno:
Yeah that was mentioned in the first post too.
I have a really strong suspicion that Don King is out for the money. For me these fighters are old and not capable of winning, not based on skill, but based on heart and determination. Correct me if im wrong but Tyson quit to Kevin McBride. I mentioned the size difference there, in another post, but still, Tyson would need to dedicate himself back to the sport to get any real positivity from it again. I think he would much rather live off the fame he still has, and take part in random events (like the one coming up in London soon), to earn his money. His legacy is on the line even more every time he steps in the ring.
World light heavyweight champion Antonio Tarver has bulked up to a solid 200 pounds to play the opposite Sylvester Stallone in 'Rocky Six.' "Mason Dixon is a very brash, very skillful heavyweight champion," said Tarver, descibing his character in th film. "Unfortunately, he came along at a time when the heavyweight division is much like it is today, and people are remembering the great days when Rocky Balboa was on top. It must have been a fortune teller who wrote the script because that's what we're gunning for in the near future. Acting in this film gives me an opportunity to really feel what being the heavyweight champion of the world is all about." Once shooting wraps up for Tarver in mid-January, he'll be back in the gym to get ready for his next great adventure in the ring. "I'm looking to go on to bigger and better things, and I'm going to be taking it to the next level," said Tarver. "I think the heavyweight division is in dire need of CPR and I'm gonna be the breath of fresh air."
A "breath of fresh air"? The guy is gonna get the "air" knocked out of him if he bothers with anyone at the heavyweight limit.
So.. he gained 25 pounds for this role, wonder how it could affect him.
Yeah i heard the same thing on the television a while back.
Antonio Tarver as actor though? What will that bring?
I agree with you. And want to make a point I was thinking about just now. People always say Tyson never beat anyone. Well at least he had the guts to fight the best. Maybe he didn't beat Holyfield and Lewis, but he faught them. Tyson was a warrior, he faught everyone.
Yeah i think so too. But there is definetly some mis-management when it comes to Tyson. He fought these people, but he knew in his heart that he could'nt beat them. On another day, when he had less ring rust, then yes but at the times he fought Holyfield and Lewis, the tides were much more against him than what they would have been some 5 years earlier or so.
"I'm not overlooking Sharmba," vows WBC jr welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather (34-0, 23KOs), who faces two-time champion Sharmba Mitchell (56-4, 30KOs) in an HBO-televised non-title fight at welterweight Saturday night at the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon. Floyd was very respectful toward Mitchell today in a teleconference with reporters. "To be the best, you've got to beat the best," he said, "and the world can't take anything away from Sharmba Mitchell....there's no need to badmouth this guy. All the negative comments are in the past. I do all my fighting in the ring." After this fight, Floyd hinted at a possible showdown with welterweight champion Zab Judah. Mitchell commented, "I know it's going to be a tough fight, but that brings the best out of me." He later added, "Floyd reminds me of myself when I was coming up."
I wish he would so this would be an exciting fight
Floyd will win i think. Most people hold that opinion it would seem.
But who said Floyd isnt just another one for the upset list. We have had quite a few this year.
I think the biggest question surrounding this fight is.......
...is Chris Eubank going to be in attendance. :) I'm definently looking foward to this fight.
Yeah, im getting prepared for this fight. In fact it will be on ITV in the UK wont it?
Damn. Let me change that.
The only thing i am annoyed about now, is that 20 people have already downloaded the file and now it wont let me. Would someone host it again on the same place or possibly YouSendIt.
I find that YouSendIt provides the fastest service, but it also has a download limit.
That would be much appreciated. Thanks.
