I changed ma mind. I don't think Taylor can KO Hopkins becuz Hopkins is too tough and too hard to hit. 50-50 fight, but Hopkins ACTUALLY MIGHT WIN TIS ONE. But Ima go wit Tayler. Judging from that performance last July, I think he can improve it. f Bernard starts early like most suggests, then he wouldnt have ta stamina to do WHAT HE DID LAST JULY which was rally in ta late rounds. Tayler by decision.
Opinions?
bhop doesnt have anything else to bring to the table.taylor went 12 rounds and handled all hopkins had.if it wasnt for that headbutt and mistakes taylor made, taylor would have won more dicisivly.
and if you're going to whine about idiot judge ford giving taylor the 12 then i'm going to whine about that other idiot judge giving hop all those early rounds.
taylors felt everything bhop has and will win this one more dicisivly.
well g, if it wasnt for this, or if it wasnt for that..come on now, thats bs...hop made him miss everything..he had him hurt..badly u could see it in his knees...and well the mistakes will still b there..Hop has been around nothing Taylor can do will come 2 surprise..man i cant wait
He thinks he won the first fight, but he didn't think he did a good job, he even admitted to that. He isn't cocky if it comes off that way its just to make people pay more attention, what he is is much more experienced than he was in thier first fight. Fighting Hopkins for him experience wise, was better than having 4 fights with some lesser 20-10 ranked fighters. I think Taylor won't be as excited and he won't jump all over Hopkins this time. Taylor by UD 9-3 on all three scorecards. You heard it here first....i think?
i will respect your thoughts..but it goes 2wayz..u cant tell me that Hopkins was a lil nervous for this fight..i mean its a fighter who really hasnt established himself yet..he had a lot of hype..like a lot..Hop i'm sure was nervous so he did what he does he learned his style in the ring..made his observations then attacked..yes it took a few rounds..but he now knows what Taylor has..u cant tell me he is soooo much more experienced now after one fight with Hop, cause Hop is great, he will fool him in the next..Taylor will b great, but it usually takes one loss to set a fighter on "true fire" his will come by one of the greatest middleweights to grace us with his presence
yep, he took him to school the first time. but that was just a 1000 level class..he now will take him in2 an advanced lesson...thanks to the fact Taylor actually thinks he won the first fight, he now is pretty cocky, and will get ko'd no doubt The Pride of a great champ like B-Hop alwayz gets revenge

Hopkins is going to take Jermain Taylor to school.

Hopkins is pissed, I think he'll be a lot more prepared this time round, I reckon he'll win by a late round KO or on a decision.
Hopkins is going to take Jermain Taylor to school.
In other words: Hopkins by a vicious KO victory.
agreed
no fighter in the game has more pride than Hop, people like to talk shit about how he wins his fights but be knows how to get the job done.. on Dec 3 Bernard is gonna end his his career on top an knock out Taylor.
People keep saying if Nard starts fast that he will run out of gas, but I think if he starts fast he will KO Taylor...
This is boxing, knockouts happen and Taylor does not have a iron chin.

Hopkins can't start at a fast pace. His body is 40 years old, and he won't be able to have the stamina to do so. He is a well-conditioned athlete but a 40 year old body can't compete with a 26 or 27 year old body in Taylor.
Hopkins says he doesn't trust the judges so he will knock Taylor out, but Tarver said that also and did it happen? NO.
There's so many factors in this fight that make it a pick'em fight, so I haven't made my choice yet.
Taylor is more experienced, hungrier, and if he wins this bout he has bigger and better things in the middleweight, supermiddle, and possibly light heavyweight.
Fight will be close but I'm taking Bernard by MD.
once again with stats like these...how is it that Taylor won...oh yeah, big payday for the judges.

I think Taylor is going to win it again. He knows he won once and knows he can do it again.
Yeah exactly. If he can do it once he can definetly do it again. He has the edge, as i mentioned in my last post. But also Hopkins is not shot by any means. He can still win, and quite convincingly in my opinion.
Having said that, i just see it going the same way as Jones-Tarver. Tarver winning consecutively, and therefore Taylor winning consecutively.
Its a really close match up.
The last bout they had, a lot of people were saying that Hopkins won it. The fact Taylor won it goes to show the fine line between success and failure. I will predict a late TKO or UD for Taylor. It will go down to the wire i think, but psychologically, of course, Taylor has the advantage. He has won the last fight and i think this will deeply affect the game plan that Hopkins used last time. Hopkins obviously chose the most comfortable fight plan for him in the first bout. The fact that he is going to have to change it may also influence the outcome.
But basically, its a Taylor win for me.
i agree wholeheartedly.

Hopkins can't fight the same fight again, slow start and lose rounds, then hope to KO Taylor. If he tries to use more energy in the early rounds, he will be gassed later and won't be able to win the majority of the later rounds. Not good for Hopkins.
I don't think it's in his game plan, but come out really fast and try to KO Taylor before round 6 seems to be his best chance. Give Taylor something he doesn't expect.
If the fight is near even and goes the distance, the judges will give it to the younger guy with a future ($$$). That's just the way this works, not just for Taylor-Hopkins but all the time.
off subject but i would like to see jermain taylor fight lacy, taylor has to move up to super mid before long he is to big to fight at 160 for many more fights. they are both wild punchers with strenght behind them. i see them throwing themselves all over the ring until one of then lands one of those big wild rights. my guess would be lacy by a late inaccurate ko.
I know he said he was going to retire after he hit 40 and he is almost 41.
yeah, he wanted 2 fights, the rematch, then another..who will it be, well if he wins, and he will, possibly Wright, but Wright will dodge him, guaranteed..mayb Lacy but doubt it...if he loses, him and RJJ should fight, and they should call it"Retirement of Legacies"
