What did Toney say after Benn talked about DeWitt and Barkley that made the crowd laugh??
I didnt catch it."Let me tell you something. I'm not Iran Barkley or Doug DeWitt. Why don't you come over here and I'll kick your ass?"
Wlad will defend his IBF HW title on 11/11/06 against TBA. I am looking foward to seeing who they pick to challenge the champion.Wake me up when there is a unification fight in the HW division.
Diego Corrales vs. Jose Luis Castillo I
Those sort of fights are great, Arturo Gatti vs. Micky Ward, Erik Morales vs. Marco Antonio Barrera etc. All the obvious, unoriginal choices.
Ricky Hatton has a mandatory defense to deal with.
It annoys the hell out of me when they make out like the stumbling block is the percentage split, and that it is extremely hard to decide and agree on. Personally, if I was a world class boxer who had already made millions, my number one priority would be to fight the best possible opponents out there to further imprint my legacy, regardless of the money on hand.
Hatton would win by stoppage after giving Gatti a brutal beating over 5/6 rounds. I've got to agree with this. Hatton would beat Gatti up bad before stopping him with an accumulation of shots to the body, or the terrible facial injuries could cause a stoppage.
Camacho was too fat/out of shape, and was being too lazy. On the ropes taking repeated combo's without throwing anything at all back gave the red no choice but to stop the fight. Regardless of how many landed, Tsurkan must have threw about 20+ unanswered punches before the ref stepped in.
I'd say Malignaggi was better than expected, and Cotto was unimpressive, reminded me a little of Calzaghe-Lacy but Malignaggi's lack of power lost him the fight. If Malignaggi was no powderpuff Cotto would likely have been KO'ed inside 6. Malignaggi gave as good as he got, maybe even better but the champ got the benefit of the doubt.
