One a British talk show where Benn and Eubank are guests before thier fight with eachother.
Toney and Mickey Rourke are on via a live feed from LA.
Funny stuff.
I like all three guys as fighters, but it looks to me like Eubank doesn't even know where he is or what's happening. :p
Benn Took About 15 Seconds To Get Up It Seemed.....no Offence, I Like Benn, But He Was Out Of It And Got Lucky...the Referee Kept Stepping In Between As Well To Save Benn.....
He climbed back into the ring in under nine seconds.
ill watch it on 2night & time how long benn was down
Dude, come on, Eubank spent most of his time posturing or conserving his energy.
His stamina was awful, and it was due to killing himself to make weight (leaves you dehydrated after six rounds if you shoot up in weight in the 24 hours before fight, having starved yourself to make weight.. like the idiot Eubank was).
Stop trashing Eubank.
You aren't half the man he is.
Most refs in my estimation would've stopped it on the next knockdown. It was brutal especially considering he'd just been knocked through the ropes.
Credit to Benn for coming back though.
No shit. No one is bitter or 'ignorant'. It's just a simple fact that most refs would've stopped the fight. We're not only talking about the knockdown through the ropes. That was just one of Benn's problems.
In any case, Toney beats Benn whenever. Toney is way smarter than Benn and would not take near as much damage.
That said, however you see the fight is fine with me. Everyone has their own view of things.
Have you ever timed/counted it SL? Benn was back and ready at 9. No ref who new what Benn was about would have stopped it there and then.
A fighter is allowed MORE THAN 10 SECONDS to recover if he is knocked through the ropes, check the queensbury rules. This has been gone through before, yet some of you are still bitter and ignorant to these rules.

He did not have a brain. He just brawled, and that's it. He fell in love with his power and that was his downfall. Benn was through the ropes and out for 10, and any sane ref woulda ended the fight right there.A fighter is allowed MORE THAN 10 SECONDS to recover if he is knocked through the ropes, check the queensbury rules. What do u mean he should have won, no he shouldnt have won cause benn pounded him out, and came through the stronger fighter on the night. Gerald Mcclellan was a puncher no dout but he could box so he had a brain imo.

Eubank's not Griffin or Nunn (they are different people, you know), Eubank had a style all of his own and a style that gives Toney a nightmare.
I have to agree
True, but McClellan should have got the win over Benn. The reffing int hat fight was God-awful. Even so, James Toney is not Gerald McClellan. Toney has a brain. He would've beaten Benn convincingly, and he would have beaten Eubank as well. Eubank is no more tricky than Montell Griffin and no more skilled than Michael Nunn...he also was not quick or as coordinated on his fight as Roy was. Toney could beat this guy.

Gerald Mcclellan was a puncher no dout but he could box so he had a brain imo. Eubank is not comparable to Griffin or Nunn as they have completely different styles. I have to diagree with u. And give benn some credit for winning the fight it wasnt all down to the ref.

Eubank isn't Griffin or Nunn?
Ya learn something new everyday.
Eubank's style is no nightmare for Toney. Eubank is not the 5-6-7 punch combo throwing jitterbug that Roy was when Toney lost to Roy.
U could never count Benn out cause the guy throw bombs, u all thought the G man would beat benn down as well and look what happened, with JT against eubank no way would Tony be able to stop eubank the guy had one of the best chins ever in my opinion.

Eubanks was very, very slick. But he tired to quickly, all those muscles wore him out.He was like a bodybuilder.
???
Yes he was heavily muscled, but he had superb stamina, he had half a dozen or more 12 round wars, he competed hard in all, win, lose or draw.
