This would be a good fight between two sluggers. I think Arturo can outbox him too as well as out brawl him. This fight would get stopped on cuts but who would cut first ?
Damgaard lost and lost every round but he still gave Gatti a much tougher fight than he should of.
Baldimir will do the same.
Hatton would basically run through Gatti.
baldomir would beat hatton..too big too strong..hatton is overrated
Hatton is a good fighter, but I don't understand what people are talking about when they say that Hatton is leagues above Gatti,THEY ARE THE SAME TYPE OF FIGHTER! They're both about the same size (Gatti looks more muscular to me) they both have good chins but can be hurt, both have good stamina (I think Hatton's is better) and both have good power (I don't think Hatton hits quite as hard as Gatti). Both fighters like their opponents to stand if front of them so they can be set to punch, and both fighters will sustain a high workrate if that happens. Gatti still threw 70+ punches a round in Ward-Gatti II when he was basically running, and did it until the last bell. Both fighters cut and swell, so the way I see it is whoever gets tagged first...
The only difference I see is Gatti becoming much more of a boxer nowadays and relying less on his power (when he was taking shots from Mayweather, he should have realized it wasn't working and went for it, but he didn't). Against Leija and Damgaard, and in the second and third Ward fights he displayed a boxer-puncher's style and a much more controlled attack than one would typically see from him. He pulled it off pretty easily, but those fighters (with exception of Ward) didn't put the kind of pressure on Gatti that Hatton would. I'm sorry, I just don't see it being that one-sided, and I don't see Hatton picking Gatti apart by falling into shots like he usually does, I think it would be a great fight.
gatti is the perfect way to get back to where he was before may 13th for hatton
as well known gatti is al over the world a hatton win will make people jump back on the bandwagon
It never ceases to amaze me how little so many people know about the basics of this sport yet they aspire to be experts based on a drugstore handbook approach to boxing!
Hatton looked poor against Collazo, why?, its simple!, he moved up a weight, he fought in Collazo's back yard without his ususal support, he had to travel and adapt, Collazo was naturally stronger, Collazo is a slick southpaw (Hatton does not look good against slick southpaw's), this was his big night in the states so the expection was through the roof, Collazo is better that his resume suggested etc etc etc!
The important thing to remember is that although Hatton looked uncomfortable he still won, it again is simple, Hatton scored more points over 12 rounds hence he won, Collazo deserves credit for his performance but dont forget Collazo was the Champion and they did not just hand it to him for free, he fought and won the title and he even defended it against the former Lightweight King, Miguel Angel Gonzalez who is no mug so...
Styles makes fights, Hatton if he fought Collazo every week he would struggle but that does not make a poor fighter over night, it just means Collazo's style does not gel with Hattons, move on for fucks sake!
Hatton v Gatti for me is straight forward, I have watched both fighters dozens of times and I am certain 100% that Hatton would take Gatti apart peice by peice and would force a stoppage late on.
Saying that, I am not disrespecting Gatti as he is a warrior but he will play to Hattons style and fight a similar fight but Hatton is stronger, hungrier and has a better all round style to overcome Gatti!
C level against a Mayweather maybe but Hatton is not an A Level fighter.
Hatton/Mayweather you get the same results as Gatti/Mayweather.
I dont believe this by any means! I am a Hatton fan, But I aint gonna start ranting on about him cos Im pretty sick and tired of hearing the same thing said, along with the same arguements. Lets just watch what he does in his next fight. Ill say one thing though. Mayweather had his stint of critisism in the Castillo fight! Just mayby this is Hattons stint. Lets see :boxing: :boxing:
I think they would bang for 5 rounds, and it would be a good fight. BUT, Gatti is too likely to swell and bleed, therefore he looses on a stoppage, either because of a cut, the ref or the corner...but i doubt he gets KO'ed...his only chance of winning is a shock KO ala the wilson rodriguez fight....
Soda
hatton wins this fight by TKO, gatti got old in his fight against Daamgaard, he took way too many punches froma mediocre fighter. hatton, though not great himself, is a helluva lot better than daamgaard was. gatti has only gotten older, plus his hands are serious question marks as to whether he can make it 12 without breaking one anymore.
sorry bro.. i agree with most of the shit u say in threads but ur wrong.. gatti has great pop in his punches
agree look at his hips and leg pivot when he throws straight right for example
someone needs to bust out a video
he punches thru the target
Gatti knocks out a bunch of old featherweights and he hits harder then Hatton. LOL.
Gatti is an overprotected HOUSE FIGHTER. GEt that through your heads.

Thats the stupidest thing I've read on this site today.
Have a banana...
Hatton UD.
this is sensible
and can accept
i still think gatti wins or fight could stop on cuts
some are suggesting hatton ko's gatti
this is unlikely
gatti is a warrior
he won't be picked apart like in the mayweather fight
hatton will induce a slugfest if anything
Hatton would win by stoppage after giving Gatti a brutal beating over 5/6 rounds. I've got to agree with this. Hatton would beat Gatti up bad before stopping him with an accumulation of shots to the body, or the terrible facial injuries could cause a stoppage.
are you kidding me? damgaard got schooled.
Damgaard lost and lost every round but he still gave Gatti a much tougher fight than he should of.
Baldimir will do the same.
Hatton would basically run through Gatti.
To suggest Gatti would beat Hatton is absolutely ridiculous, Hatton is leagues ahead of Gatti. It's not even up for debate..
I take it you have not seen too many Gatti fights, lol.
I think Hatton will pretty much beat up Gatti and stop him in about 6 rounds.
Gatti had his hands full with Damgaard so what do you think Hatton would do to him?
are you kidding me? damgaard got schooled.
All of a sudden Hatton has trouble with Gatti after the Collazo fight, but after the Tszyu fight Gatti would get beat?
Anyone who thinks Gatti would win is wrong.
what do you base your argument on?
substance please
gatti hits harder
sure he may fall down form a body shot
thats entirely possible
hatton's stamina is strong
the fight could really go either way, their are No (edit) certainty's or high probabilities in this match up accept that gatti won't fold voluntarily and either will hatton
i'd pick gatti to win
