the ref had a beef with camacho. he kept telling camacho to stop doing something(i don't know what though?) and he was getting irratated with him real easily.
if you're a ref and don't like a fighter that is a good way to mess up some ones gig.
camacho is annoying anyway, i was glad the ref pulled a jack move, camacho had it coming. that guy is the biggest bitch, the whole quitting against leija cemented his bitchyness. but he complains about fouls from his opponents but he fouls all night long. the guy is crap.
It's not really on disliking the guy. It's more on the facts of what transpired.
camacho was going to end up knocked out for real with his stupid ass miniskirt trunks. that would have been far more entertaining.
It's either he is so fucki'n stupid not to throw back a single punch or he is really ready to pass out.
Comacho looked like shit
This is the end of Camacho jr career i believe.
Camacho was dumb enough to fight on the undercard of Hopkins/Tarver
make me get very tired and get migraine headaches from the ugliest pair of trunks and shoes to ever grace a proffesional Boxing ring.
Camacho was too fat/out of shape, and was being too lazy
there's definitely some dislike going on here  . There are more reasons for Camacho Jr to block & dodge only than he's stupid or ready to pass out. From what I can see, Camacho Jr is pretty decent, maybe not very special though, and I don't see why this is the end of his career as he's 27 years old. Not sure what fighting on the undercard has to do with his intelligence. Camacho is the lightest he's been in 2 years, 2nd lightest in 3 years and 7 fights. Also 2 pounds under the light middleweight limit.
You guys really don't like Camacho Jr. I don't really know him or his history so I'm not privy to the negative side of him which there must exist for everyone here to dislike him so much.
camacho was losing, but it was a really fucking awful stoppage. fuck randy neuman, that fight was still going and camacho was going to end up knocked out for real with his stupid ass miniskirt trunks. that would have been far more entertaining.
I was flipping between the 2 PPVs, so I probably missed that. Guess I saw something different than everyone else. I seem to be scoring fights much different than judges lately when 1 guy is much more aggressive while the other guy does more damage.
But they did show a slow motion replay of the stoppage and confirmed what I saw. That Tsurkan landed zero punches against Camacho Jr. And Camacho Jr wasn't just standing there getting lucky that nothing was landed, he was actively blocking, bobbing and dodging. I didn't see Camacho Jr getting tired and certainly not in trouble at all. The only guy who was ever in trouble in this fight was Tsurkan at the end of the 3rd round and majorly in the 4th round.
The guy had no gas. By the middle rounds he had his mouth wide open. Camacho probably would have been stopped in the next round. The refereee will always stop the fight if you cannot defend yourself, Camacho was more tired than hurt IMO.
I didnt read it. It was shown to people watching the fight on PPV just before the Tarver/Hopkins fight by Merchant & Lampley. This is the end of Camacho jr career i believe.

Definently a premature stoppage, however, Camacho was throwing absolutely nothing in return and looked like he was ready to pass out.
I totally agree that Comacho looked like shit, I kind of got the feeling he was looking for an excuse to stop fighting, and the ref's bad call was his answer
Bonafide, is that really possible that the judges had Tsurkan ahead on the scorecards?! That can't be right, where did you read that? I did the round by round for Camacho Jr-Tsurkan here. I gave Tsurkan 1 round up until that point. Camacho Jr was just way too good for him and had him in very serious trouble in the 4th. Tsurkan was definitely throwing a lot, but Camacho Jr landed 62% of his power shots! Camacho Jr would've probably stopped Tsurkan eventually, was this a 12 round fight?
If it's really true all 3 judges had Tsurkan ahead, something fishy is going on. The referee even warned Camacho Jr for holding in that either round before Tsurkan's flurry prompted the referee to stop the fight. But it was Tsurkan who was holding. The commentators found that pretty odd. They did a slow motion replay of the series of punches Tsurkan threw that went unanswered by Camacho Jr. It's true Camacho Jr was only blocking the punches, but ZERO of them landed! How can a referee stop the bout when the other guy doesn't land a punch?!? I can't believe there's not more outrage over this.

Camacho was too fat/out of shape, and was being too lazy. On the ropes taking repeated combo's without throwing anything at all back gave the red no choice but to stop the fight. Regardless of how many landed, Tsurkan must have threw about 20+ unanswered punches before the ref stepped in.
I had Tsurkan ahead on the cards. To be honest I though Camacho looked pretty bad. He was extremly tired and getting hurt by punches that were not real hard. He has some power and has a good counter, but Tsurkan to me was the aggresser and scored more. Bad stoppage, probably, but I don't think Camacho was going to last much longer.
Were standing 8 counts allowed? Somebody said one was warranted. But if their not in the rules you have to stop the fight. Im all for standing 8's.
Why in the world would Camacho Jr be given a standing 8 count when he wasn't hit with anything?
Camacho jr looked better tonite than he has his whole career but all three judges had the other guy ( cant remember his name , some ukranian name ) ahead. He was fading fast and looked to be just trying to survive and throw combos here and there. He was the better fighter skill wise but the other guy just woudn't stop punching.

He was not being hit, you cannot stop a fight when the fighter is not being hit.....period
The fact is Jr was winning, and was obviously the better fighter.....the fight should not have been stopped.

he didnt have much gas left, he probably would have been stopped in the next round. But it was an early stoppage.
hard to tell if he was rope a doping but he wasnt firing back.
