THE MOST RACIST SPELLING BEE EVER...JUST WATCH!!!!
 AND  = Mixed Emotions about this...
what do you guys think about the people in charge of the spelling bee putting this word in there???
do you think they are trying to be funny
wow.......................................
Than just answer this simple question that the others have run from than.....If Floyd IS such a draw, and he HAS said if he came back it would be for legacy, then why isn't he targeting the proven and more dangerous fighters in his own division. Obviously you can't use the money argument since you have so convincingly shown what a draw Floyd is and that he could undoubtedly carry a show. So why not Cotto, Willams or Mosely? And if this is just a tune up, why not face a fighter at welterweight who has proven himself at this weight?
First,
Mayweather vs. Anybody would sell.
Second.
Mayweather can fight Cotto, Williams, and Mosely.
but he can also fight JMM, Pacquiao, and Hatton
He can fight who he wants.
As Long as HBO approves the match up and the fight is credible.
Why are you giving the welterweight division so much emphasis?
Who cares about the welterweight division?
name 5 fighters in the welterweight division that are relevant.
The hot divisions right now in boxing is 140 and 168.
140 has Pacquaio, Hatton, JMM, Nate Campbell,Bradley,Khan, Urango, Holt, judah
147 has Mosely, Cotto, and
berto ( who is fighting a 140 pounder in urango instead of a weltereight)
Thats why you have Mosley and Cotto calling out Pacquiao and Hatton instead of other welterweights.
because they know all the money and action is at 140.
The welterweight division ring championship is vacant.
That means fighters in that division are not handling their business and that means fighters are not staying in that division long enough to establish a true welterweight champion.
Right now the Welterweight division needs Mayweather more than Mayweather needs that division, which is obvious since you want him to fight there.
Mayweather is the biggest draw since oscar retired.
The only person you can compare Mayweather too is Oscar that's it.
and Oscar is the biggest draw of all time so that tells you everything you need to know right there.
The difference is Mayweather sells his skills, meaning when people pay to see mayweather fight the are paying to see the a person who everybody consider one of the best if not the best.
Oscar was a draw because of his personality and nationality, so that means he could win or lose and it will not effect his market value.
Pacquiao is a draw because of his nationality, because he is the pride of the pinnoys. So he will always be popular because his people will support him.
In general most latin fighters have built in fan bases so they only need to be marginally good in order for them to attract fans because latin fans support their fighters.
Example: Chris Arreolya, Miguel Cotto, Juan Diaz, Juan Manuel Lopez.
But that is not the case for fighters of different races who dont have built in fan bases.
Imagine if Paul Williams was Cuban or Rican or even more mexican, he would be the biggest sensation since the remote control.
But Paul Williams isnt latin so he doesnt have that built in fanbase..
so that means he has to earn his fanbase through his skills and some kind of gimmick to get fans of other races who usally only support their fighters to come support him. Especially since boxing isnt a mainstrem sport anymore.
So, how did those white guys I named, do it?
you mean guys like Gerry Cooney?
I think everybody would agree gerry cooney was partly successful because whites love his underdog blue collar story, and plus he was white.
and Gerry cooney was 25-0 before he fought Larry homles
and why are you writing in color fonts?
When he does those numbers against Cotto, Williams and Mosely I'll be impressed. Till then, he hasn't carried a show.
Are you saying mayweather is not a draw on his own?
Who besides Oscar can you compare mayweather with?
Mayweather is the biggest American draw since Oscar Retired.
Let's Look at the World Biggest Draws:
United States: Floyd Mayweather
Mexico: JMM and Margarito
Puerto Rico: Miguel Cotto
United Kingdom:Ricky Hatton
Cuba: Yuriorkis Gamboa
Ukraine:Vitali and Wlad Klitschko
Philippines: Manny Pacquaio
Venezuela : Jorge Linares
Dominican Republic: Juan Guzman
Out of this list we dont have to ask who makes the most money
and we dont have to ask who is the most accomplish
To say Mayweather cant carry the show is crazy, especially when he is the sports biggest american star.
Oh, so its because hes Black.
I wonder how those white guys Ali, Leonard and Tyson did it?
that was when boxing was a mainstream sport.
and i am white so i dont fall into the nationalistic category.
But Everything I wrote is logical and it generally true.
it is not racial, it is commonsense.
No, I'm talking about those white guys Ali, Leonard and Tyson.
Have a goodnight.
because it is obvious that I am the one wasting my time talking to somebody
with no commonsense.
Floyd Mayweather vs Angel Manfredy
This fight after his fight with genero hernandez got him fighter of the year in 1998...
and this fight I think got people putting him on the p4p list.
Floyd Mayweather's at 20 years Predicting that he will be champion by 21 years old and that he would beat Gatti..and he very cocky in this video but it is funny because he can tell he is dead serious
Floyd Mayweather Jr. V Miguel Melo
This is my favorite Pre fight interview.
This is when Floyd sr. kept calling Mayweather "Lil Floyd"
It was the best pre fight interview That mayweathers have ever done.
I dunno man think to a certain extent he doesnt wanna be hated.
But i mean i think him playin the role as the badguy gonna helped become such a star.
I mean yeah he has incredible boxing talent and he was gonna always be big either way.
But i mean his whole attitude of being such a money hungry dickhead made people dislike him and wanna see him lose.
Brings more PPV buys and therefore more money for himself.
I think its all an act, my cousin might him once in vegas,
he said he was surrounded with a huge crew but he was very respectful and wanted to sign autographs and gave alot of time for photographs and talk to his fans
damn that is the coldest signature i ever seen.
cotto got beat up bad in that fight.
if i were cotto I would want nothing more to get my revenge on margarito
but this time I would personally be in the room to see when he gets hands wrap.
and after I would try to beat the shit out of margarito.
I know that lost margarito hangs over cotto head everyday.
Not just putting him there - he finished the year #2 p4p on nearly every list. God, that Floyd was incredible. Manfredy was NO joke - I loved the way he dismantled Gatti--he was easily the #1 contender for ANY titlist in the division and Floyd fought him in his first defense. Like a couple months after Hernandez. And stopped him in two.
I can't be mad at Floyd. He utilized his talents to get the money they were worth. But now that he's got it, don't ever expect to see him fight guys like Hernandez, Manfredy, Chavez, Augustus, and Castillo (twice) in succession ever again.
Very true. Although I dont favor the way floyd fights now compare to when he was a super featherweight.
I still cant discredit what made me a fan of his.
I was watching one fight in which he was show boating the whole fight and then knock the guy out... and this was when he was just a kid. and the guy was like 13 years older than him..
Mayweather vs. Hector "Carlos" Arroyo
I think this was Mayweather first fight with a Puerto Rican...and he gave this dude the work. But this guy did put up a good fight whle it lasted.
you are worry for nothing ....
people dont understand that just because a fight is set at the 147 pound limt doesnt mean you have to come in as 147 pounds.
147 is the limit.
so you could possibly see JMM come in at 141-142
and floyd come in at 146-147
Pacquiao is not Mayweather. The only thing they got in common is their speed, nothing else.
Of course Pacquiao is not Mayweather.
But Ricky Hatton is Damage goods.
and I promise you, you will see that tomorrow night.
Mayweather just didnt Knock Hatton out.
He beat Hatton up on the inside and outside and he **** with Hatton's Head.
Which imo left Hatton confidence to this day in pieces.
I will 3 general concerns about hatton.
1. How will he handle Pacquiao Speed and Combination Punching
2. Can Hatton Still Pull the trigger or will he be thinking too much because of the new fighting style he has just learn.
3. Can Ricky Stop himself from lunging in without a jab proceeding his punches, which imo is his downfall as a fighter.
Pacquiao is not Mayweather. He is not going to hit Hatton with One shot at a time and Grab. Pacquiao is going to Hit Hatton with 3 or 4 punches at a time and move and do it again. And that right there is why I believe Pacquiao will win on cuts or Late Stoppage
, shane offered floyd a fight for 8 million, let's wait and see if the marquez fight is for more than that, before we bring shane into the mix.
Shane had his chance and blew floyd off
I hate to break it you guys...
but cotto is not important right now...
if i were cotto my focus would be on becoming the lineal and ring champion of the welterweight division. That way he can have an accomplishment to stand on. Instead of what he is right now.
and if he loses to clottey.
forget about it career over..!
i know cotto has a fight, but when the oportunity arose in the past mayweather downplayed cotto, and yes there have been many discussions of a fight between the two, it was stated by cotto, i can't make him fight me, i believe margarito has said the same, and everyone knows cotto does not call anyone out, came from his own mouth many times also. but it's real convienent that almost everyone has a fight on tap now that matweather is set to come out of retirement. oh wait there's mosely, but wait, that's right mosely ain't on mayweathers level right, but marquez is? go figure
In what year should floyd and cotto should have fought?
it is crazy because i was having this discussion with another poster in another thread.
I dont deal with could have, would have, should have.
In 2006
The top 2 man in the welterweight division were
zab judah and carlos baldomir.
and Floyd Mayweather beat them both. before Miguel Cotto even came to the welterweight division.
In 2006
Miguel Cotto was fighting
Ricardo Torres at 140
Gianluca Branco at 140
Paul Malignaggi at 140
Carlos Quintana at 147 first fight.
So When do you think Mayweather vs. Cotto should have happen?
2007
Mayweather fought de la hoya in the biggest selling fight and boxing history
and then Mayweather fought and destroyed Undefeated Ricky Hatton and highest grossing non-heavyweight fight not involving de la hoya.
2006 : Cotto fighting at Jr. WW while Floyd was fighting Welterweights
2007: Floyd was Fighting Jr. Middleweights and making history. and defeating another top undefeated fighter.
Who cares?:dunno:
Pacquiao vs. Hatton is Tomorrow...
Be a fan of boxing. and not Mayweather.:boxing:
God I swear we cant go one day without Mayweather being brought up on this site.
Even When We have a great fight about to happen tomorrow.
Too me this is the biggest stage Manny has ever been on...
even more so than the fight with oscar.
but this is not the biggest stage Hatton has been on...
and you can tell That Manny Knows that Hatton is not going to lay down and he is going to fight for every second for all 12 rounds..
Manny is nervous
Hatton didn't look pissed off to me. Not to the scale of the Mayweather fight anyway.
He is serious however. Being 'serious' and being 'pissed off' are two completely different things.
Both guys looked confident. Both guys thanked the crowd for coming, and both guys are ready for tomorrow night.
Hatton looks stunning!
very true.
Too me, Ricky looks like he has learn how to control his aggression.
unlke he did in the mayweather fight.
and Manny Pacquiao just looks nervous. But that will change once round 1 ends.
Hatton is not washed up. I already made my case for Hatton in my original post of this thread, so I won't repeat myself again. It's not what Hatton can or can't handle, it's what Pacquaio can or can't handle.
He is the one fighting a solid jr.welter for the first time. 2 fights ago he was at super-feather. The Delahoya win doesn't tell us anything.
Ultimately, where you go wrong is overrating Pacquiao's amateurish flurries and underrating Hatton.
Ultimately, this is what I see.
Pacquiao: Speed
Pacquiao: boxing ability
Pacquiao: Power
Pacquiao: Combination Punching
Hatton: Stamina
Hatton: Body Punching
I think Hatton will be walking in into too much Fire power from Pacquiao.
and ultimately at this level of fighting. You can not let fighters of Pacquiao caliber hit as many times as Pacquiao is going to Hatton and expect Hatton to somehow win.
Hatton gets hit too much and he lungs too much with allows him to get caught with senseless punches.
I have no doubt that Pacquaio will land up to 40-50 punches per round on Hatton.
and IMO I dont know how can Hatton will be able to withstand too many punches without getting cut up and hurt.
Hatton is not winning.
People said the same thing Before the Mayweather Hatton fight.
and look what Happen.
I will admit Pacquiao looks nervous..but after round 2 Manny will beast on hatton.
too much speed.
and maybe too much power.
Pacquiao
