Dont people realise that Bob arum was in charge of Mayweather's career up to the Zab judah fight??? That means Mayweather cherrypicker only his last 3fights in Baldomir,Oscar dela hoya and Hatton.
If arum was in charge of Mayweather up to the Judah fight why are people alway accusing him of cherrypicking his fights??? I dont get it...
Arum is in charge of Cotto,Margarito, Clottey and pacman for example and he would only pick fights that makes the maximum money without any risk of his fighters losing out.
Just a thought, Correct me if am wrong...
that not true thats just what you think
Listen. There is no way that an athlete that is known worldwide wants the majority of the public to hate him, and root for him to lose, when he's devoted his entire life to his craft.
He plays villian because he knows its what draws in the fans and money, but there is no way he loves being hated and despised by fans.
He caught an emotional breakdown and cried after the Baldomir fight due the fans, media, and Larry Merchant for not giving him credit for the win. Does that sound like a guy who loves to be hated?
I dunno man think to a certain extent he doesnt wanna be hated.
But i mean i think him playin the role as the badguy gonna helped become such a star.
I mean yeah he has incredible boxing talent and he was gonna always be big either way.
But i mean his whole attitude of being such a money hungry dickhead made people dislike him and wanna see him lose.
Brings more PPV buys and therefore more money for himself.
I think its all an act, my cousin might him once in vegas,
he said he was surrounded with a huge crew but he was very respectful and wanted to sign autographs and gave alot of time for photographs and talk to his fans
damn that is the coldest signature i ever seen.
cotto got beat up bad in that fight.
if i were cotto I would want nothing more to get my revenge on margarito
but this time I would personally be in the room to see when he gets hands wrap.
and after I would try to beat the shit out of margarito.
I know that lost margarito hangs over cotto head everyday.
He doesnt love it. People dont like him, and he knows it, so he just runs with it because he has no choice.
I remember following his fight with Hatton, Floyd said that he would give anything to have the love that Rickys fans have for him.
Truse me, nobody wants to be hated. Not even Floyd.
that not true thats just what you think
doesnt matter what you post..people just love to hate floyd...and he loves it..so let the haters hate

I agree.
Even if Floyd had just fought Cotto after Hatton people would respect him more. Just that one fight. I like Floyd but he is such a let down to me. It's like having a favorite football team make it to the superbowl and then say "fuck this, I'm too good to play that team, they aren't a big enough draw."
Exactly. Its not as if people are dismissing his skills. He's one of the most highly skilled fighters of our era. Its his refusal to take on real challenges that people bash him for. He thinks he's above the sport itself, and finds ways to discredit and avoid fighters who pose an actual threat to his thrown.
Because people are dumb.
Anyway, fighting the lineal champ, Oscar at 154 and an undefeated fighter in Hatton ent exactly cherrypicks.
Baldomir instead of cotto or margarito by that time and hatton at 147 are bad fights. the oscar win was a average one
Floyd started looking bad in the boxing publics eyes when he avoided a matchup with Margarito and went for Baldomir instead. Although the Journeyman was lineal champ, everyone knew his win over Judah was a fluke, and that Baldomir was a c-level fighter at best. Floyd knew Margarito was going to be a big challenge for him, and opted to take the safe route, and justify it by saying that Baldo was the lineal champ, and made 1 dollar more for fighting him instead of Marg.
After that, it was his refusal to fight Cotto although the entire boxing world was asking for it. Every single interview Floyd did, he was asked the question about fighting Miguel Cotto, and in every interview he made excuses for why he had no interest in fighting him although this was the biggest fight that couldve been made in boxing at the time.
Everyone knew he was chasing Oscar for the dollars, and it turned out to be nothing more than an overhyped celebrity sparring match.
Hatton was a good win for Floyd, but then he retired without fighting any of the elite champs in his own weight-class. Then had the audacity to go after a rematch with Oscar. That turned many fans off to him. There was absolutely no reason for another bland fight between those two.

No point arguin this anymore. Mr boat buyer ain't fightin any WW's. He's made that pretty clear. Surely he'll forget the beef wit ol Arum to fight Pac tho.
