Agreed, this is where Gamboa and Lopez last fought. Haven't been but I've been to the MGM theater at Foxwoods so I'd imagine it's similar. These are great spots to watch fights.
It's very similiar, not really a bad seat in the house
I agree, thats why i excused Khan's doings in this, cos it is his 1st exposure over there, but i would have though Paulie could have sold more in his own city.
Paulie-Khan is not likely to put the 19.000+ people in the stands required to sell out the garden. The theater is a great venue for fights
he does sort of have a likeness in his motions to Duran. I think he definitely has that hunger to hit people similar to that of Pryor. He also sort of has Tyson's explosiveness.. I'd hate for this thread to read like a give Manny head session but it's hard to describe his style without ultimately sounding that way.
Wow.. you sound like such a hugger...I would gave to go with Pryor
Apparently we forgot Margarito in there... probably his best win so far... and a damn good one.
Williams would win.
I could see a Pwill decision or Pavlik ko. Both guys have subpar defense, throw a ton of punches, come foward, rarely use adequate head movement, and are there to be hit. I am unsure if pwill can take power shots at 160, only reason is i have never seen it before.
Kellerman would bitchslap both Brendan and Deafcon if he saw this thread.
Kellerman would agree with all that is said..Williams is more feared than Kim Jong Ill,Bin Laden, Charlie manson, and Hitler put together
How can you blame them for fearing Williams? He signs his contracts with the opponents own blood.
Paul Williams once had a staring contest with the sun. Yup, pwill won
Never heard of Joey Gamache suing Arturo Gatti for coming in at 160 lbs to a light welterweight bout?
Gamache was brutally knocked out and is still suffering from the after-effects of that bout.
here is an interesting article on the subject

I'm interested. I don't think performance enhancers can have that kind of effect on a boxer but extreme dehydration can, since you lack fluids which protect the brain or atleast so I have read. This makes it more likely for blood clots to develop in the brain, which is what happened in all cases.
Block believes not only did the New York Commission make a hasty decision, but also a wrong one. "The fact remains that the whole weight of medical evidence, collected from all over the world over a period of years, shows dehydration is the single biggest cause of serious brain injury in boxing. The longer a boxer has between making weight and actually boxing the less likely he is to suffer brain damage. Those are the facts."
please replyy
It is very small probably take about a half hour to see everything. there is not much in the town itself. I would hold off till induction weekend next year. That is a great event.
Paulie is going to get steamrolled. You need some pop to keep Diaz in check and we know Paulie has none.
I agree. He is so gun shy with the right. he is afraid it is going to break again. His only hope is Diaz gets cut. He doesnt seem to do so well when he is bleedin.
whats your rush, i replied already
im at work, of course i can reply with one liners a lot faster.
jajajajajajajaja!!!!!111!!!1!!!!!. work.. u owned. JAJAJAJAJAJ!!1!!!111!!!!

Bullshit.... george is fat and old. I would take that punch, smack him in the man tits with a nine iron and shove a grill up his ass
I've never been there before and I'm contemplating the four and a half hour drive. Has anyone been or knows if it's any good?
Its pretty cool. I dunno if its worth the drive. I went with my old man, when we are up at Syracuse for a basketball tourney.
If indeed Cotto/Pacquiao has been made for November and Mayweather/Marquez has been cancelled, then the only logical solution for Floyd would be a bout with Mosley since Mosley is looking for a money fight.
Mosley is ovbiously a bigger draw than JMM and IS the Ring WW Champ so a defeat over him would provide more ammunition at the negotiating table.
Isn't Mosley a natural WW? No way this fight happens.
i jus heard about him today
he's 20-0 (15 ko's)
26 years old

ive never seen him fight, is he good???
yeah, he was hurt most of last year. he is from nyc. they call him kid chocolate and he throws candy to the crowd as he does his ringwalk.
:lol1:
Anchors are still cool though.
My grandfather had one on his forearm, Navy guy, obviously.
My grandfather too, lot of those old school navy guys have the old style naked pinup chicks. I have one tat, a cheeseburger on my ass
