I can't believe literally how ****ing ******ed some of these people are. They're literally bottom of the barrel kind of ****.
There is no reasoning with them, truly
Comparing Ouma to Ward
Yikes
Boxing fans are lousy druggies or too deep in PBC dick to tell left from right
Huh? Man some of y'all need to go back to school lol. Reading comprehension is not y'alls thing. Like 4th grade level stuff, and you guys can't master it. Absolutely pathetic
I said the only inside fight GGG has had was vs Ouma. He was good enough there, but yes it was only Ouma. I also said Ward doesn't really fight like that. Derp
GGG couldnt stop Jacobs, Canelo, or Dervenchenko but he stops Ward? Hmm not so sure.
GGG struggles against fighters who in-fight (Canelo 2 and Dervenchenko). Yet GGG would stop the best inside fighter of the past 5-10 years.
Trumpers shine again. . .

I think GGG struggled against Canelo's combo punching, and against Derevy's workrate. Those fights were still at mid-range or at distance.
Ward is a good tough fighter though. I wouldn't really consider him a great inside fighter in that sense, he was more of a very tough smart fighter who had no issue getting as dirty or physical as possible in there, grabbing, clinching etc.
GGG fought well in a phone booth fight vs Ouma. That's really the only guy who was comfortable enough, while it lasted, to sit in front of GGG and let the punches fly from both men.
Ward's stuff honestly was always borderline or even over the top against the rules though. If nothing like that went on, Ward still would have a tough style to do great against. He is smart and tough in there and hard to dominate.
The thing with Ward was always that he would turn it into a fight if the boxing match wasn't going his way, and that's probably what it would turn into if he and GGG fought. Just a mess really lol. May turn out like Froch-Ward though where Ward does enough to get a win. That wasn't an inside fight though.
Like you wanna talk boxing and all they want to do is talking about who is more gay for who.
And you know its the truth, especially when it comes to GGG because most GGG people respect what Canelo brings to the table but take a far more objective look.
Talk to most Canelo fans and GGG is a straight up bum with no skills.
Seriously GGG pisses off all the black posters just because hes "white" and triggers near damn all the "mexican" posters because they're all hard for Canelo.
And its like bro. GGG is a legit talent who has a complete different skillset than Canelo. He also didn't have A side backing his whole career and started at 26 instead of 15 as a pro.
But those are things they openly brag about. Seriously, boxing breeds and attracts certain kinds of fans. Literally bottom of the barrel kind of ****.
There is MUCH more tribalism on here, supposedly a hardcore boxing site, than I anticipated. It has been sad, but enlightening, to see. Just how people operate, I suppose.
One would think that to 'hype' up your guy, you would give immense credit to any opponent he fought. How can one, for example, hold Canelo so highly, when they slight GGG so much - the same GGG who they will sometimes admit beat Canelo in one of those fights, even in their eyes.
I don't even care about the fanboying anymore. It's the dumb comments that irk me - sig below related.
Yeah basically this. Not saying he is 'world class' but he is a good athlete, in his prime, and has had access to world class training the last few years. And has 'big fight/event' experience prior to this fight. He was probably much more nervous vs KSI.
And he has 50 pounds on Floyd on fight night
Yeah that's how I see it also. Only thing I didn't anticipate was how negative Logan would fight.
You're doing too much here man, trying to defend Floyd. Just stop, please
He has a good jab and is big for his weight class. He has good punch selection. But he's not this special fighter that people are making him out to be.
Honestly his jab sucks for his reach advantage. He just left it out there to measure distance half the time, which technically is illegal anyway. He just doesn't have the goods imo, I guess we will see.
Hurd is what he is, he's not a bad fighter, just one-dimensional. Yes tailormade for any version of GGG too. It'd be like that Chavez-GGG sparring session
Literally every PPV number I see from any fight, sounds like BS. It's either inflated, or someone going way low. No way this did less than 1 million buys
LOL we are wierd? We don't give a FKK, it's just an advert. You the one making a thread on it. The man will of been paid alot of money to say some words. Lol get over it.
You might as well have a Jared from Subway ad talking about the dangers of going after underage girls, and how a guy like him would never do that
Well you are the one who said who authorized the commercial when it was done and out before the Ruiz fight so again you just aren’t very intelligent and did zero research because you were in a rush to post some nonsense so it backfired .
Your own troll thread is not only fake news concerning success and being a joke it’s not even in the right time frame , you thought they put it out after the Ruiz fight so how smart are you actually ? :lol1:
That commercial came out this year you fucking retard. Just shut the fuck up. I'm tired of you idiots.
Funny how you trot out that played out bs trope every single fight.
I mean, it's obvious man. Canelo makes everyone in boxing rich. He ain't losing unless he gets KOed. Maybe if he gets KD like 4 times.
What a salty GolovTard hahaha
? Not salty about anything. Rich comment coming from a man, who has the name and picture of another man, as his profile pic and name lolololol
Keep hiding behind that internet anonymity. We all know you are an absolute fuc.king scrub in real life lolol
I mean, the guy has crushed a lot of cans...
His last 8 fights are Kamil, Derevy, Rolls, Canelo, Vanes, Jacobs, Canelo and Brook. 4 top level fights, 3 OK-good fights, and 1 tune up. That run is as good as any active fighter not named Canelo. And that is at 35+. Pretty hard to hate on that, but go on
providence can be rough...but it aint that bad....but its prob a good idea for anyone with a little status and money to GTFOH...anyways...he moved to new hampshire years ago...not exactly sure why he chose that but its a bit odd....i dont know him personally but he strikes me as a guy with a little of that ricky williams in him...kind of aloof and def smokes alot of weed....
i def wouldnt call him "well managed"...but hes been fortunate to kinda live off that buzz his name had many years ago...he still doesnt have a fight anyone has really cared about...although he def has enough money to live off rest of his life right now(at least should)
i cant believe hearn cant leverage AJ to get this guy something worth a ****....when you have one of the biggest assets in boxing in AJ you should be able to use that to get fights for guys like andrade...i dunno maybe andrade hearn are happy as is with this arrangement....i mean andrade is getting checks for fights he should win
and hes always been the type to fight in spurts
On the bold, that is kind of my thought too - not with just Andrade but with a lot of guys now. They are content enough to take 'easy' wins for 1 million. I really don't know who does, or doesn't, want to challenge himself these days. It's a mess to work through all of it.
The Ricky Williams comparison is spot on for Andrade though. Great point there, I think they have a similar mentality overall with their sports
Ronnie Shields said the whole Breland Wilder fiasco was ridiculous. Shields and Haymon are best friends since Vernon Forest days and Shields has investment for PBC. Something tells me Haymon didn’t appreciate the whole LDBC world saturating his brand with ghetto thugs. Now what are the LDBC going to do with their cherished Charlo since they all attacked Breland?! Lol. Bunch of flaming hot cheeto and Sprite codeine dummies! Instigating racism all over the internet is what Haymon didn’t want for his brand ... Haymon is briefed what happens on YouTube.
As usual I hardly understand a word, but I love it
He looked fragile to me. I think it’s likely he has a subpar chin. He seemed to be on wobbly legs every time Williams landed.
That may be it...maybe he fights the way he does because he has a shaky chin, and knows it
there were times he was incredibly fast and looked real slick. then there were times he looked like he was done, finished, about to collapse.
i didnt get it at all, bt that's Andrade in most fights.
He really is a hard guy to figure out man. I just don't think he has the heart for boxing honestly. He looks bored in there at times. I can't think of any boxer ever to compare him too. If he wasn't very talented and well managed, he would be out of the sport by now.
What judge has ever given points for dancing around? You said 'best work' in the quote. The judge is to determine, in a close round, if a fighters defensive work was better than the other fighters offensive work (or vice-versa).
I don't think that you understand defense.
I do like your Dunn quotes doe ................Rockin':boxing:
You don't score points for missing punches...you score points for landing them....
But it counts by blocking or evading shots. You are an overly offensive minded spectator.
It's not rocket science man - you only score points by what you LAND. That's how a fight goes. If you dodge 10 punches, and I dodge 2, but neither one of us lands a punch - you are trying to say that you won that round? Lol, nothing happened
I did read your whole post. You claimed that people rate defensive fighters too highly today, but I gave several examples of defensive fighters that have been rated highly throughout boxing history.
They were of all races too which lays waste to your "tribalism" agenda.
Yeah, you didn't read it lol
people overrate defense in order to justify giving a fight to their favorite fighter when he gets outlanded.
if your defense does not ultimately result in landing a clean effective punch, the it doesnt deserve to be rewarded. matter of fact, all else equal, rounds should be scored to the aggressor for ring generalship - by opting to defend, backpedal and counterpunch, the defensive fighter is by definition surrendering the initiative, i.e. ring generalship, to the fighter moving forward.
yes, exactly. well said
Just the way of the times.
If you look at history through a long scope rather than just gloved or just color film it becomes pretty clear the way people fight and the perception of fighting has more to do with everything going on outside of the ring than in the ring.
We live in a pansy ass time. The youth say **** like masculinity is evil. Let's all bully bullies now. Racism is everywhere, sexism is everywhere, **** and transphobia is everywhere, we are all victims and aggression so small even the victims call it micro is worthy of nonstop news coverage. Of course more people like dancers than punchers.
Similarly to our first time boxing fell in love with defense. Right around that time the modern English accent was being invented....specifically so Englishmen would sound softer and less intimidating. The people were pansifing on purpose, boxing learned defense. People hardened up on purpose, boxing became a chin sport again. Just the way it goes. Trannies, who are less than a % of the population, need coddled and it is your moral obligation to? Defense is praised. **** goes hand-in-hand.
I like and appreciate defense. I just don't like when certain fighters, for no obvious reason, get almost every close round in their fights. It's weird honestly.
Even rounds were discouraged by the ABC, judges were told to make a choice based on the criteria. 10-10 rounds are for those who simply can not make up their minds, or for those rounds that were razor thin.........Rockin':boxing:
Of which there are many, in many fights. Commonly about 6 of those types of rounds in most fights I've watched. Not splitting those rounds where there isn't a clear winner, is an invitation to corruption. And we know boxing needs to invitation to that anyway. They do it right in front of our faces.
