So basically he's only at 147 for this year. If he beats Pacquiao, he wants Crawford but if he can't get that fight he's not interested in staying at 147.
Does that mean win or lose, Jermell is moving up to 160?
It is about time Spence moved into his own weight. He's got a lot of fights over 147 already. I think once he moves up we're going to see why he took so long at 147. I don't think he can hang at 54 but 54 isn't exactly hot hot right now.
154 is pretty bad lol, there’s jermell and then a bunch guys who can beat each other on any given day

I'm thinking Jermell Charlo is going to do Errol Spence a favor and drop the IBF so Errol can fight the weakest top rated contender in Bakhram Murtazaliev or Jack Culcay ; OR even the WBC since Jermell has already said, he does not want to fight Erikson Lubin who is #1. with the World Boxing Council. There are numerous viable opportunities for Spence at 154, and I'm with you in having doubt about how successful Errol can be with men his own size.
I’ve seen the Jermell move up strat for awhile now. I think he’s the Charlo that will fight Andrade. The other Charlo isn’t allowed while he holds a belt.
Also said he currently weighs 158, and is back with his strength and conditioning he was using before.
Yeah, catching up on the entire interview now. Good to hear and he's been in the gym and doing road work for a while. Also will be getting a nutritionist for this camp.
Another thing he confirmed was that there will be VADA testing for the fight.
I'd like to see him still beat Thurman's ass.
I'd like to see Crawford/Thurman instead. They are both so inactive that neither guy would have an advantage in that regard.
As for the OP, this is how PBC will keep the 154lb belts under their banner.
I'm all for Spence fighting Crawford after Manny if he wins. It's literally the only fight that would make sense at that point.
My concerned would be Crawford being inactive going into the biggest fight of his life.
The good news is that Errol is going to be fighting people his own size at 154, and Terence Crawford will be officially the best 147 pounder by default of Errol's cowardice evasion. Errol Stench, is also likely to duck Tim Tszyu at jr. middleweight, by fighting the recycled 154 PBC roster first and making ridiculous excuses and demands against Tszyu, like he did with Crawford : Get a belt doe, cross da street now, 70-30 blah blah blah, get out of here chicken!
