People are shocked Floyd didn’t KO him.
Logan’s been boxing 3 years, he’s a millionaire so has world class training, sparring, nutrition, “supplements”, etc.
3 years is enough to become a decent level amateur Cruiserweight.
A young amateur Cruiserweight held his own with a retired feather-fisted welterweight in a sparring session.
Nothing shocking about that tbh.
Right. I mean the guy is much bigger and we’re not talking Maidana/Ortiz/Baldomir weight advantage. Mayweather did okay vs a bigger man who has actually been training in boxing for years now. Yes he started late and there is absolutely a learning curve in boxing.
When I was a teen and 140lbs sparring everyday, I would spar 180-190lb dudes who just started boxing. I would get the better of them. Doesn’t mean that after a few years of them training they wouldn’t be capable of destroying me even though I had more experience.
This was a case of a bigger boxing novice vs an older, smaller, brittled handed boxer with a ton of experience. The experienced pro boxer was able to not look terrible vs the bigger rookie, and the bigger rookie was not able to capitalize with his power due to his inexperience but also didn’t look completely 100% terrible. Just looked inexperienced, plain and simple.
I didnt expect logan to hold for 6 rounds straight. it makes it difficult to take your opponent out when they have reach, height and weight and decide to just hold whenever you get in range.
People complained when Spence didnt take out mikey garcia, that is the same thing, if someone only wants to survive and doesnt care about winning, it can be hard to stop them.
I did not expect him to stop Logan Paul.
Paul is not just a normal guy who has decided to box, he has some athletic ability 'Proven by his Wrestling'
That Combination also with being 50 pounds heavier, I am not surprised by the result.
logan paul will be heavyweight champ within 5 years and this win will look a lot better like when floyd fought a drained canelo. at the time it was like wtf thats embrassing but now best win!
Yeah that's how I see it also. Only thing I didn't anticipate was how negative Logan would fight.
You're doing too much here man, trying to defend Floyd. Just stop, please
Yeah basically this. Not saying he is 'world class' but he is a good athlete, in his prime, and has had access to world class training the last few years. And has 'big fight/event' experience prior to this fight. He was probably much more nervous vs KSI.
And he has 50 pounds on Floyd on fight night
