Total punch output for the entire fight would be a staggering 24 punches! 12 each, 1 punch per round! At the end, they'd be both amazed at their 'defensive performance'. 😎
By too big I think most mean that Spence and Crawford are naturally bigger heavier men. They are full sized welterweights who weigh almost 160 pounds on fight night. Pacquiao fights at welterweight but he has never been a full welterweight. He is a big lightweight or a a 140 pounder and never weighs more than 150 on fight night for his welterweight fights.
And these guys are not? Mosley, Rios, Vargas, Horn, Bradley, Algieri, Dela Hoya, and Margarito. ALL of which are bigger/taller than Crawford or Spence. Call it TOO SKILLED, TOO FAST, TOO YOUNG, TOO STRONG at this point for Manny then I can understand. But simply saying TOO BIG for Pac makes me crazy lol!
I understand. But whether you like it or not, PAC got a chance, though not a huge one. He ain't fighting them on a straight-jacket for ****s sake. I'm just wondering about the 'TOO BIG for Pac' that are all over the board.
It is sad as hell you havent posted since 2014 then run back on here now that Manny picked up a paper title tho...
Never posted for years but that doesn't mean I left if you know what I'm saying. So, shut up son.
This was during his prime days where he still had his pulse.
It’s just different inside the ring when you no longer got it
If Pac still have this kind of sting in his punches at his age and land it the way he did on Hatton then he could floor the elites, I'm looking at you Spence and Crawford. He could kill Loma with that ****.
And yeah, he delivered it faster than I could blink, damn!
Cotto even said, "The punch he gave Ricky Hatton, if he hits with this kind of punch, he can throw Mike Tyson to the canvas."
Khan is a lightweight fighting at welter, Crawford/Spence are light middle/middleweights draining themselves to compete at the same weight. Pacman in his very prime could beat much bigger/taller fighters but not at 40 lol. Pacquiao vs Khan is a good 50/50 fight now. Pacman is just a part time boxer and 40 years old, its absolutely insane that he can still compete at such a level.
Crawford and Spence need to fight each other.
Dude, Crawford just came in from LIGHTWEIGHT. Spence spent his at Welterweight, but there's no TOO BIG in that as Pac also fought full welterweights/middleweights in Mosley, Dela Hoya, Margarito, etc.
It's just funny that few years ago the board was full of threads like 'Crawford is going to be the next big thing as long as he stays south of Welterweight (where Pac was)'. But now, it's reversed, Pac should now stay away from Crawford lol!
If pac blast him out in the 2 round, floyd will not fight him period
If Pac wins via Split Decision, Floyd will not fight him. If he loses, Mayweather might consider.
I voted lightweight and he could return to lightweight and completely dominate it today. He weighted 138 for Hatton and looked amazing. He did not have to dry out or anything to make 138 and could have just as easily weighed 135. He was about 30 so his growing days were long gone. He also looked unbeatable when he fought Diaz in his only lightweight fight.
This, no one could have beaten him that night. I knew I was right at voting LW like most does because at this time he was in his physical best. Once he moved up weight, he deteriorated physically and started boxing more. One can safely tell that a 'past prime' Pac thrashed much of the fighters at Welter up to the Light-Middleweight. What an ATG. :boxing:
I'm glad Roach stands in the way of this, because I'd be f*cking disgusted to see Cotto/Pacquiao at 154.1 for THE middleweight championship.
Why not? I'd sell a ball for this to happen even at 154. I just think Pac can't take hard punches from Cotto at this stage. This is some serious revenge for Cotto, and I'm a Pac fan.
Marquez plastered one of the most aggressive fighters of all time in Pacquiao. Pac blast Maidana in every department.
Who do you think wins? I'll say this again, young guns can't match with these OLD VERSIONs of Pac-JMM-Mayweather, ATGs brother, ATGs! Don't even think about their PRIMES.
Close this thread.
Say all you want against Donaire. Both fighters have 4 rounds to win and Nonito is the one bleeding. It must be in Vetyeka's mind too that he's gonna give his all just in case the ref won't stop the fight (to a No Contest) and goes 4+ rounds. But 4 rounds or not, Nonito deserves the win and he's gonna light up that ass one more time. Sure sucks to lose a belt that way, but that's boxing. I'd be pissed if there's no KD prior to stoppage but there was and Donaire started bringing it to him, he could have put Vetyeka to sleep a round earlier if not for that nasty cut.
QUIT hating on Donaire people. He's not a multiple division champ for nothing.
Not a chance, his power will carry with him to the max of SFW, and that's it. The minute he even tries going above 130' he will get badly beaten.
I don't think any one gave Pac a chance to be an 8D titlist even after he beat the likes of Barrera/Morales/JMM at Featherweight. But time and again, he prove all of us wrong. History will repeat itself, sir.
Donaire should have never dropped out of the top 10. He is probably top 7 now.
This, after the Rigo loss I still have him at #8, I have him at #4 prior to that loss and he already bounce back since then, if he KO'ed Vetyeka I'd put him back to #4. Undisputed featherweight champ people, undisputed!
That's just not possible age is against him, and not to mention he is no Pacquiao.
He definitely don't look his age. He's freaking sharp, fast, powerful and scary right there. And he's blitzing Vetyeka with his rights (good news). One more fight at 126 and I want him to jump to 130! Give Donaire an active 2-3 more years and he's gonna erase Pac's record. Mark it.
He cried his way to a fight stoppage just to get this win man. Matthysse would hit him one time and lift him off of his feet.
Put an ass-whooping on Vetyeka with one eye clear, UP and READY to fight the 5th round. And you see it as 'cried his way to a fight stoppage'?
All the top dogs at 130 to 140, wait, Donaire is coming for you.
haven't you got some toilets to clean to bent nosed cunt
to ts
donaire should be around 5th, its just a mess atm, while people like haymon and richard keep hyping up their guys vs nobodies, it has made the list a joke
we can safely say pac is top with perhaps ward second if he still counts, I would have floyd, marquez and bradley ahead of donaire
Exactly, I wanted to keep my P4P list 'focused' on Donaire and the top 2 so I skipped typing the others coz I don't like morons here questioning me why I put Marquez over Bradley, etc. That would ruin the purpose of the thread.
this is true although im a bigger floyd fan you have to respect both men if you are a boxing fan,
Why can't people comprehend this? I was a Pac fan for the last 10 years, I disliked Mayweather for that same span. But I have to give him props for what he does in boxing. Say all you want about Floyd and Manny, but they will beat everyone at their weight right now, yes, even at their current state. These two ATGs will find a way to win, no matter how sloppy they look in doing it.
Show some respect to Floyd and Manny people.
Well if you don't, you don't have to open the threads and read but the fact is that a large percentage of this site are at least bi-curious on the spectrum of sexuality. What's wrong with them discussing their desires.
I just don't see why it's OK that we've had more graphic threads about female boxers but once anyone mentions a snake, it gets shut down.
That is homophobia. You can say it's not related to boxing, fair enough but then don't allow the threads of females too or the hundreds of avatars and signatures with barely clothed women.
Why would you want to talk about snakes in a boxing forum? If you want to see spitting cobras then go visit a zoo to satisfy your reptilian cravings!
Pac who was stopped twice before he went upto 126?
Prime Naz would hang with pac no doubt, 1997 Hamed was something special, and I don't think there would ever be a FW in the world who could have put him to sleep.
Dude, you're talking about the Flyweight Pac. Hamed can't put Pac down at 126. If Barrera schooled Hamed, Pac thrashes him.
Donaire slower at 126. He better worry about ducking or blocking Hamed's punches first because his defense isn't that hot and he'd def get hurt by some of those lefts.
Yes, definitely hurts him if he gets hit. But if Hamed misses, he gets Montiel'ed on the other end. I would love to see this fight, edge-of-your-seat excitement!
Just saw one of Hamed's video highlights up in YouTube, this cat is fast. But seriously, I doubt if he can take Nonito's counter left when he lunges in.
I don't think there would ever be anyone who would put Hamed to sleep, Like I said before, the Hamed of 1997 would wipe the floor with any of todays FW's without a doubt, he isn't regarded as one of hardest P4P punchers for no reason you know?
Hamed would be in my top 5 hardest punching FW's ever alongside Saddler, Armstrong, Sanchez and maybe Arguello.
It's distasteful sometimes when people try and piss on his parade because of his confidence rather than his boxing ability when he was actually that damn good at his best, the Nas who reigned in that era was truly a great entertainer and fighter.
Have you forgotten Pac @ 126?
I'm not convinced Donaire is stronger at 126. In fact, I doubt it.
I think he is, and when he lands that counter left or straight right it's goodnight for Hamed. Hamed ain't slick like Rigo where Donaire have trouble finding. He can't clown on Nonito, he'll be destroyed the moment he floats his chin in the air. Hamed's gonna wipe the canvass with his short multiple times.
Nonito has amazing reflexes and timing one must not forget and most of all THAT lethal left counter that put down many opponents that I've lost count.
