Remember he got a 1 million as a signing bonus from top rank...
WHAT AN IDIOT, and he is a politician. lololololololololol
No wonder the place is a third world country... if you cant understand simple finances then you probably shouldnt be running a country.
Im american so i know all about politicians with no financial acumen
:killyou: :owned2: :haha:
Yes, because just being from the US qualifies u as an expert in the financial expertise of our congress members, who ,btw, get paid by our tax dollars to manage state funds and budgets, which btw aren't getting passed, not because congress members are stupid, but because of polar ideologies... Yeah, great job showing u know allllllllllll about the financial acumen of politicians just because ur from the US.
lol
tell that to soccer/football fans throughout the world
and he obviously didn't watch the lazarte vs casimero fight.....
he wont be hyped like a pacquiao because Argentinians aren't fanatical prideful attention seekers to them selves like pinoys.
:killyou: :owned2: :haha:
I like Donaire's chances against Rigo. Especially if he fight like he did against Nishioka. He did not force the KO and pick his spots. I like that he's able to read his opponents and adjust. A skilled and intelligent fighter.

No disrespect to Bernard, Because I am a huge fan of him and his craft, but Hopkins was never as physically imposing or as exciting to watch. Though I believe Pacquiao was my hype than skill, compared to Jones Jr; he has a huge following!
After listing all the belts Pac collected he is hype. What is not hype to you?

concepcion does'nt fight like rigo ..now , if saldio was to fight nonito then you could have a case using him ..
riog jab is not uderrated if anthying youre overrating it ..he's not shown in the past that he has a good jab altho im sure he knows how to throw a crisp one..he's jab is prety much a range finder and he paws with it most of the time ..
Agree. I noticed that too.. He also tends to drop his hands that's why he got caught by Marroquin.
James Toney looks ready to shove you into a massive frying pan at any moment. That would definitely intimidate me.
LOL! I'd be scared too.. :haha: :haha:
With regards to fighters today I'll have to agree with GGG and Matthysse.
Tyson is very intimidating.
With regards to Rigo's skill, I don't think anyone is disputing that. Even those who say he is boring is in a consensus that Rigo is very skilled. The problem IMO is not his skill but his style. It is very amateurish and I don't mean that in a negative way. I think what Bob is trying to do is not put down Rigo but challenge him to engage more. A good example I think is Floyd. Like Rigo he is a defensive fighter, but their comparison ends there. Floyd tends to stay in the pocket and therefore resulting to more exchanges. Rigo on the other hand relies more on his footwork/movement resulting to less exchanges where the "boring" comes in for some people. I'd like to think that Arum believes in Rigo coz if not then he wouldn't have re-signed him/offered the Donaire bout.
The lower punch output IMO has to do with Donaire's inability to cut the ring. Should have cut the ring instead of just following Rigo. Not saying Rigo was running so as to avoid sensitive fans but Rigo was very fast with his feet and wouldn't even allow Nonito to get set. I mean he was gone before you can start to engage. And the few times that they did exchange, Rigo was getting the best of him(Nonito). And it doesn't help either that Nonito was getting tag. Made him more conservative with his shot. Rigo fought an intelligent fight and did what was needed.
Good comeback fight for Pac, with all the upsets happening you never know Alvarado might pull some miracle out.
Marquez vs Bradley has to be in play now, can't wait and hoping that gets called.
I guess winner of either will end up fighting each other.
I wouldn't be surprise if that's how things pan out. :boxing:
I hope some of those people stick around. Boxing can use every fan.
We where already here even before Pac came to the scene. Not just as vocal but we here. Boxing is the 2nd most popular sport here in the Philippines. :boxing: With or without the Pinoy fighters, we'll still be following the sport.
I wouldn't call using ring generalship and limiting a top 5 pfp fighter to less punches thrown and landed amateurish bro.
So by engaging you mean that Rigo should plant his feet an throw skill-less amateurish combinations and allow himself to be tagged just because??
Let me tell you how much of a pro Rigo is. He is such a pro that he made Donaire do as he commanded.
When he wanted Donaire to go left, he went left.
When he wanted Donaire to go right, he went right.
When he wanted Donaire to eat a counter straight left, Donaire ate.
When he wanted Donaire to follow like a lost puppy, he did.
In short Rigo put on a very professional display of ring generalship and cleaner effective punching. If Donaire didn't like it, he shoulda done something about it, but he couldn't. That's how much of a comanding pro Rigo was last Saturday.
Relax Mang. I'm not dissing on Rigo. hehe. Damn! Hold yer horses. Yeah Rigo is a pro. You where stuck with amateurish. LOL. Let me rephrase, Maybe Bob just wants to Rigo is engage more. :pat:
With regards to Donaire, no one is arguing that. I already posted same thing you post there. He lost. Topic is not even about him. hehe.
Their styles could make for a boring fight. But I do think their styles could make for a boring fight,if Rigo does not fight aggressively.Donaire is coming to show his talents..He is an offensive fighter.
Rigo has a habit of waiting to much.If this happens this fight could be a boring fight with Donaire winning a UD based off activity. If Rigo wants this fight,he is going to have to open up to win it.I'm very interested in this fight.
I think it's going to be a good fight because Rigo will fight aggressively..I got Donaire by stoppage in the 7th..
Once Rigo gets hit and it doesn't put him to sleep, bold letters is how I see the fight going from that point on.
i just don't think rigo has the power to make donaire respect him.
but he's skilled enough to avoid a bad whoopin'.
he might get koed eventually, but it won't be easy to land clean easily for the most part.
i expect donaire to look sloppy pushing the issue and rigo using every skill he has to avoid big exchanges.
I'm also expecting the same thing. Rigo is very defensive and wouldn't be surprised if he does the Narvaez.
Pacquaio playing duck duck goose with Marquez not wanting to get KOed again.
JMM isnt asking for anything crazy, just half. That is fair, he brutally KOed you. Plus you know JMM gets robbed again if goes to decision so JMM already has that stacked against him, 50-50 is more than fair.
How is he ducking when he's been very vocal about wanting to fight JMM from the start? On the other hand JMM did not want to have anything to do with Pac. JMM just said in was interested with Bradley's belt not Pac.
With regards to 50/50 being fair, do you think JMM will still get the same purse fighting Bradley? Coz I'm pretty sure Pac will still get his 20mil regardless of who is on the other corner.
100 billion points, all you have to do is guess the way the fight ends. If you predict a KO/TKO, you have to state which round.
If you think it goes to the cards, put down your prediction.
I saw a couple of posters have the same prediction. If they get it right do they split the 100bil?
Rigo definitely has some pop. But if you're insinuating that Rigo is hitting as hard as Donaire then you're dead wrong. Donaire is arguably the hardest puncher in the division.
yeah look at how donaire towers over these "midgets"

LOL! He's a giant!
What concerns me most isn't Donaire's power, it's whether Rigo can clearly outpoint him. Robberies are commonplace in boxing. To give the "fair-haired child" a close decision is almost a given.
That is a very valid concern that you seldom hear from Rigo fans. Unlike Donaire who will press the action when needed, Rigo tends to just wait and counter. He is very comfortable waiting and reacting. The downside with this is your work rate is low and if the round is very close and if nothing significant happens, the judges are more likely to give it to the aggressor. That's something to consider before crying robbery. Rigo is slick and I won't be surprise if the match ends up in a decision. I feel it's unfair that Donaire will only get credit if he KO's Rigo coz a decision is a robbery.
