Serious question. For those saying that IF Robert boxes Rios, he wins a easy decision...then why didn't he box last night? Why didn't he box against Berto?
Because he can't. Maybe once upon a time, but he is what he is. And he's essentially Rios now for all intents and purposes. He's a phone booth brawler today. He didn't get his face beat in last night "for the fans". It's just the way he fights.
The only people who want to believe that Robert is some superior boxer to Rios are Floyd fans who are desperately clinging to the idea that the Floyd/Guerrero fight was a credible win for FMJ. For the rest in reality -- Robert Guerrero IS Brandon Rios.
A....****ing...men. People are trying build up Floyd's win over Guerrero and downplay PAC's win over Rios methinks
It's way too soon for Lomachenko to even think about fighting the likes of Donaire or Rigondeaux.
He needs to defend his WBO title a couple of times and gain more pro experience.
And I wouldn't give him much credit for beating Donaire anyway. Donaire is damaged goods at this point.
These statements seem contradictory.:dunno:
It's funny how things turn out. Eight months ago it was Broner/Floyd fans getting excited to hail AB as the new up and coming PPV star but now there's a good chance we'll have a new humble hero like PAC. If GGG doesn't work out I have a safety net:boxing:
This.
I think Paulie could take the torch. Ward is actually good but hes just not very enthusiastic.

All. GGG needs is to KO Cotto. He's PPV status after that. In fact, I think GGG/Chavez Jr. would be a PPV event already assuming Geale gets beat.
Meaningful fights for GGG: Cotto, Chavez Jr., Froch, Murray, Quillin, Lara/Canelo.. I don't even mind Lemieux or Sturm tbh:boxing:
I know it's early but I have faith in my dude. He's going to become lineal then move up and beat Juanma and win a rematch over Salido. Only guy I'm worried about is Rigo moving up.
He doesn't need 20 b.s. fights if he's already at this level. In case you guys haven't noticed, he's skipping a lot of steps thanks to Arum and isn't going about his career in the typical fashion. He has a fast track and I don't think he'll blow it; he has extraordinary skills and I hope he'll deliver. So yea it's a bit soon to discuss His PPv status, it isn't far-fetched to think with a several carefully maneuvered fights he can get there quickly.
Plus, the dude is way more likable and better looking than Rigo (someone said they have the same chance). Yes, their styles are both highly technical but Arum will see to it that the public will like this kid so long as he keeps winning.
To king james, I don't know why you're comparing cheating with beating a woman. It takes little common sense to figure out which is wayyy worse
well that is amazing considering i lost trillions on martinez-cotto..and am one of the few who said algeiri kicked provo's ass
Neither of those bouts is against a black opponent.
(Yea it's a chow I believe)
So it appears these two rather controversial characters are not only going to be fighting on the same card but they will also be fighting two complete bum opponents which will be seen as a similar tune-up type of fights that was suppose to be the case when Victor Ortiz fought Josesito Lopez for what was meant to be a fight lining him up to fight Canelo (Obviously the surfer kid lost bad)
Question is...
Who in there right mind wants to see Lamont Peterson fight Danny Garcia?
We wont get to see Danny fight a legitimate opponent this year instead he will be sticking to ranked 70 LW bums :lol1:
Followed by a guy Lucas beat the **** out of easily!
What the **** is wrong with boxing!
Rhymes with Sal Gayman
for anyone who is saying loma, let me make the final case for chris.
close your eyes
clear your head
and picture algieri in just his tassells.
no gloves, no trunks, just the tassells.
u turning that down, u still thinking loma??? good luck!!!!
This has to be one of my favorite posts in a while lol
Met Paulie at the Canelo/Angulo fight. Very nice guy. Took time to take pictures with everyone who asked. He was up in a high bleacher and kneeled down to where me and my gf were standing to take a picture
Simple enough question really, so do you think so?
Since winning the vacant title in a farcical match up Canelo has faced:
Rhodes
Gomez
Cintron
Mosley
Lopez
Now the quality picks up
Trout
Mayweather
Angulo
Lara
His only loss comes to one of the best on the planet currently. Trout and Lara are considered leading 154 pounders and Angulo is the hardest puncher in the division.
My list previously looked like this:
1. Floyd Mayweather
2. Manny Pacquiao
3. Timothy Bradley
4. Sergio Martinez
5. Wladimir Klitschko
6. Guillermo Rigondeaux
7. Juan Manuel Marquez
8. Carl Froch
9. Adonis Stevenson
10. Danny Garcia
11. Saul Alvarez
But I think I can now comfortably place Alvarez in at 10 with Garcia moving down a notch.
Why is Martinez still on your list?
Southpaw and Orthodox, and he does it well, some guys will just switch hit once and a while for a few seconds to try it out and than go back to their normal stance, this guy can fight orthodox the entire fight or southpaw if he wants he fought Gamboa and Burns as a southpaw, dude is hard to fight. That can confuse someone really bad.
One thing is for sure he is probably going to 140 to fight for a title in his first fight against either Chris Algieri or Jessie Vargas.
He needs to stay far away from Chris because that man is a mover and has long reach he will move and box making it harder for him, Crawford will have to press and press like Ruslan, Chris is a bad style match up for him.
If I were Crawford I would go straight after the cash cow in Manny Pacqiuao at 147, he is the easiest of the fights for him, plus its a fast road to stardom, he has the size, speed, chin, power advantage and skill advantage over Manny.
Stylistically Pacman has no shot against TC, we shall see what Arum does next, I have a feeling he will put TC in with Pacman, hoping to transfer the starpower to his new young charge.
Did Manny sleep with your wife or something?
the gloves didn't matter doe. LOL I can't believe mayweather ended up paying $1.5 mill for a glove change.
Apparently he thought it mattered enough to pay the $1.5m
I love these comments. "He's not ready yet."
Do you actually think Crawford would ever be ready to beat Pacquiao? You guys act like he has all this unlimited potential.
I agree with this post.
P.s. Where's my 50 billion points for the Crawford/Gamboa bet we had?
I believe Algieri will knock Provodnikov out this time.
This is the only scenario I don't see happening. Wanna wager a million points? I'll give you 10 to 1 odds
