I know it's early but I have faith in my dude. He's going to become lineal then move up and beat Juanma and win a rematch over Salido. Only guy I'm worried about is Rigo moving up.
He doesn't need 20 b.s. fights if he's already at this level. In case you guys haven't noticed, he's skipping a lot of steps thanks to Arum and isn't going about his career in the typical fashion. He has a fast track and I don't think he'll blow it; he has extraordinary skills and I hope he'll deliver. So yea it's a bit soon to discuss His PPv status, it isn't far-fetched to think with a several carefully maneuvered fights he can get there quickly.
Plus, the dude is way more likable and better looking than Rigo (someone said they have the same chance). Yes, their styles are both highly technical but Arum will see to it that the public will like this kid so long as he keeps winning.
To king james, I don't know why you're comparing cheating with beating a woman. It takes little common sense to figure out which is wayyy worse
It's possible down the line, but as has been said...there is going to be a lot of conditions that will have to be met to market himself to big enough groups that would allow him to be PPV. We'll just have to wait and see.
..and beat up his wife as well. :smashfrea :D
Or he could cheat on his wife and father a child with a prostitute. That would guarantee him PPV stardom.
Funny how the Mayweather fans are the ones saying, "not gonna happen, too boring"
This Mayweather fan is saying it is about 20 fights too early to be discussing whether he will be a PPV star.
Will Lomachenko become a PPV star
Of course. In fact, I heard that his next fight against TBA will be on HBO PPV. Why bother to wait until a fighter builds a reputation as a popular superstar to put him on PPV? He fought for a championship in his second and third pro fights. Why not put him on PPV in his fourth fight?

Mayweather shouldn't be a ppv star based off his style either. He broke the mold honestly. With him it's mostly persona and springboarding off of Oscar when he got his shot. Loma doesn't have those factors.
He's not American, Mexican, or Puerto Rican. He's a small guy. He's more of a boxer than an action fighter. He doesn't have established stars lined up for him to beat. All in all it seems unlikely.
He could do very well headlining shows on HBO, but I don't see how he becomes a PPV star. I also think he needs to seriously consider fighting in Germany as he's likely to get screwed by American judges at some point.
I understand why people are saying no but if he's successful and comes out on top against the rest of the FW's in the informal tournament as a established unified champion after like 8 pro fights he'll have a big name. LSC will move up and later Lomachenko goes to 130 with Mikey, Valdez, Verdejo he has Mexican and Puerto Rican adversaries the ingredients could be there for it to be possible.
Germans and Europeans in general would love this kid, he'd attract massive crowds in Russia aswell.
Top Rank will be having fights in Russia, it was just delayed with what has gone on with Russia and Ukraine:
http://espn.go.com/blog/dan-rafael/post/_/id/7839/arums-russia-trip-on-hold
We were expecting to go and then with what happened we thought it would be inappropriate to go,; Arum told ESPN.com on Wednesday.I let everyone in Russia that we were supposed to meet with know that we were postponing the trip and they all said that they understood and that we did the right thing. With the president calling for sanctions against Russia and everything going on with Ukraine and in Crimea, I thought it was inappropriate for an American to go over to talk about putting on fights in Moscow.

i also feel that he can be easily marketed with his tie-record for title in few fights, if he can unify titles in his next fight, that also can be marketed.
Also, he has some good dance partners in Mares, Santa-Cruz and Donaire, all popular fighters, if he can beat them, and look good doing so, that can gain him a lot of fans.
If the opponents can work at even rate and pace so he doesn't have to be moving constantly he could catch on. He has the combos and the flare and his punch seem to have some steam. However if he keeps moving and doesn't apply pressure he will become another amateur trying to be a pro.
If you like movement and light hands then the vamateur boxing events are great. However when I watch boxing I want to see ALL boxing skills, I want to watch someone use boxing moves to set up power shots and then dominate.
I'd rather watch GGG then Lomo right now, with GGG you know he's going for the KO and theres excitement built through every round. Watching a fighter repeat the same round every round doesn't cut it for me. Those guys need a great opponent to make them look great!
