Yes..BOTH got stopped but Rolly did much better than Garcia. Rolly not only did better, but to many was also up on the cards against Tank too.
No doubt Rolly was more competitive and did better than Ryan lol
NO version of Mayweather beats Crawford! Crawford is not only a much more skilled and more complete fighter than Floyd but would make him do the chicken dance before knocking him out!
Although Pacqiuao & Mayweather are ranked higher than Crawford & Spence, you could argue there is more skilled between the latter. Also it was an undisputed fight, with more on the line, fought with greater effort & better quality fight.
Based on all of the above & the manner in which Crawford fought & won in, I'd say Crawford beat Spence is more impressive than Mayweather pulling a dull uninspiring victory over a past it fighter in a fight 7 years too late.
Been a boxing fan for over 20 years & the sport is at it's weakest I recall. Alot of "p4p" fighters wouldn't even break top 20, 10 years ago based on how little they fight or do. There is impressive talent out there with most failing to have impressive careers.
Spence is overrated in skills, Crawford is pure talent but has underwhelming competition based on his status. Media & fans like to act like they're the new Leonard & Hearns both their biggest wins is against Porter. Seen many times refer to the Lightweight division as the modern 4 kings..alot of them are still developing and haven't archived close to the same greatness.
The fact that Tank-Garcia is one of the biggest fights to be made says alot when neither have had a truly note worthy win, neither a true champs, neither a p4p & neither are even the best in their own division(s). I guess boxing is one gigantic popularity contest.
The fact that Fury-Usyk isn't even the biggest fight at HW & they're both undefeated champs. Fans got more excited about the idea of Fury-Joyce..or Fury-AJ..or even Wilder-AJ.
The fact that Canelo-GGG III farce was the "biggest" fight of the year is telling.
Boxing has become obsessed with numbers..whether that be how many titles you can collect, how many divisions you can pick, how much money you're making, how many PPV sales you have..how many followers do you have.
Networks & promoters telling us who are "stars" & who is not. Even fighters believe in their own hype. Fact is Canelo & AJ may be the ONLY "PPV stars" in boxing & both their marketabilities would have been hurt with recent loses and performances.
Crawford-Spence may also be one of the biggest fights to be made in the sport & I doubt even that fight does good PPV numbers.
Every fighter thinks they're stars, greater than what they are & PPV worthy. I feel the only thing that is PPV worthy these days aren't really any individual fighters but more a particular fight itself. Even the biggest names need a good dance partner..and there aren't many willing or good dance partners to go around for deluded, entitled "fighters" to create the drama & excitement needed for any competitive sport.
A fighter fighting twice a year is considered a busy year and if you happen to be competing once every 3 months you get a pat on the back for such a gruelling schedule.
Boxing has hit an atrocious low with an era full of Mayweather-like greediness, exhibitions, socialmedia/Youtubers, best not fighting the best. Pathetic.
It feels 70% of the "sport" takes place through headlines, rumours, tweets, interviews, press conferences & gossip..while the other 30% is taken inside the ring. Boxing is not only a business, it's not only a bad soap opera now but become one big reality show too!
Boxing has taken a big nose dive in recent years and putting talent & prospects aside, there isn't many, if any mega fight to be made.
Not sure if it's by design or not but Wilder is basically a counter-puncher with hellish power. His workrate is low but also incredibly sporadic with his attack.
Its definitely boring right now.
But it's plenty of great fights to make. The fighters just don't wanna fight tough fights
Crawford vs Spence undisputed
Fury vs Usyk undisputed
Bivol vs Beterbiev undisputed
Haney vs Tank undisputed
Canelo vs Benavidez undisputed
Fulton vs Inoue 122
Charlo vs Andrade catchweight between 160 and 168
Wilder vs Joshua
Prograis vs Teofimo
Shakur vs Lomachenko
I could go on and on
Alot of Unification fights to be made which is actually very good for boxing but what isn't is CW. Don't care to see that in the sport.
Crawford-Spence has already lost some shine
Fury-Usyk would be an ugly looking fight
Bivol-Beterbiev is where it's at
Those are some solid matchups you mentioned..but in reality out of those 10 fights, we'll probably only get 2 of them
Riddick Bowe probably wishes signed Holyfield on his return to the ring. Out of shape daddy would beat Holyfield now!
Holyfield looked too soft n slow.
At least Tyson showed better balance, movement & speed
Hey tx..I'm not sure why you're so upset at me for? Holyfield was slow & Tyson would have ended him sooner. Just saying. We all love Evander but let's call it how it is..Tyson beats Holyfield tonight
Very odd fight! Not sure why Thurman has been so inactive after his first defeat but surely being around 2 years out of the ring isn't gonna be good.
Based on their last performances, I'd say Thurman gets hurt here by Porter.
Mayweather's win over Corrales is probably his best performance & arguably his best win.
Pacqiuao's win over Marco Antonio Barrera was the greater win over Mayweather-Corrales
Bradley had a beast run at 140 in a tough era & holds wins over Pacqiuao & Marquez who are 2 sure hall of famers.
More than some existing hall of famers
Fury is a wannabe & gets far too much credit for his "boxing skills" & isn't as slick as he or many think.
The dude is just an oversized oaf who happens to know the basics to boxing, which has been JUST enough to get him by, so far!
Fury is a clown & regardless of what he accomplishes, he will ALWAYS be the big bigot that punched himself in the face!
Don't believe there has ever been any Heavyweight great that ever punched themselves in the face!
Why repeat your first dumb comment, Floyd was not prime when he fought them, do you get it FLOYD WAS NOT PRIME, they ALL fought in the same era thats what they had so many fights fighting each other.
Floyd chose to fight Manny in 2010 it was Manny that said no fight , it took Floyd to go to him face to face to make the fight Manny did sweet fck all to make the fight, all he kept saying was NO test .
How was Hatton not prime you fool he was undefeated and weighed 152 lbs the same weight he was when he beat KT.
Come with an argument that can hold water or fck off.
You wanna make out that Floyd was old, shot, past his prime when he fought his biggest names, yet not acknowledged the simple fact that none of Floyd's best wins were against guys who were at their best. It's just dumb! Gatti, De La Hoya, Hatton, Marquez, Cotto, Mosley & Pacqiuao! ALL of them were not in their prime & some even classified as shot, while Floyd was p4p #1! LOL
Get real or get fkd fool
Truest thing you said all day, youre probably a smart guy in other fields just not boxing, thats just a truism not a slur.
My boxing feelings are hurt lol
