Let's face it, this hyped fight of the year was just a well orchestrated promotion. Big on sizzle...very short on steak.
Totally. They’re working super hard to build this kid Tank as the next boxing superstar. I’m not buying it at all. I would bet the house the public won’t either. When you’ve got nothing else, you’ve gotta promote what you’ve got to the hilt. That’s what’s going on here. Your comment is spot on.
That is actually another good fight to make Romero vs Garcia possibly at 140 pounds 'Great theme, these are the big American based fights with flare that should happen'.
And can envision the styles of both fighters clashing quite violently etc.
Yes he was the end result was still the same though
Which is why tank fought the teenie tiny man that he knew he could ko eventually. Just like he tried to fight teenie tiny Abner mares. They must have a whole team working to find tanks next bum opponent. Name recognition is important, being tiny or drained is a must, if you are in the top 5 that's a no go zone!
I don't really see how. Ryan Garcia probably hurt Davis more
Definitely. He had Tank backing up and holding in a few rounds. Tank always looked super comfortable against Rolly.
That's kinda sad
You reckon? I thought Garcia landed the far better shots than Rolly did.
Tank actually respected Garcia in there, he didn’t respect Rolly IMO.
He did and so did Barrios and even Leo
Styles make fights though so just because one fighters does well doesn't mean the next will
Tank and Coach Calvin and Kenny had a excellent gameplan though I can tell they studies that Tagoe fight and seen that while Ryan has Blazing Fast hands he has absolute SH^T Footwork and by forcing him to move his feet that effected his output for sure it took away his jab while also taking steam off his punches, he is not comfortable and cannot get off on Moving Targets because his Footwork is not the best
So just a good strategy but Coach Calvin been saying for Months Tank can Box and Tank showed that his Timing is excellent and he does have a High Boxing IQ in the Ring he Set some amazing Traps and then BOOM out of nowhere down his opponent goes
Started faster vs Ryan too I legit thought Tank would lose rounds early but besides that 1st Tank Adjusted very quickly and BOOM down goes Garcia
Rolly looks like the more dangerous fighter to me particularly from a Power Standpoint
Yes..BOTH got stopped but Rolly did much better than Garcia. Rolly not only did better, but to many was also up on the cards against Tank too.
No doubt Rolly was more competitive and did better than Ryan lol
The differences in their performance is so little to even bother, they got KOed around the same time.
rolly didn’t land anything clean as well and was getting beat to the punch every exchange. He was slow and plodding.. im not gonna reward just base off aggression. I watched the fight multiple time rolly just wasn’t winning
So many don't see Davis slip punches they think he is getting hit not a lot hit him clean, not for being such a brutal puncher that has to get in close, he stalks opponents setting traps everywhere so they come to him amplifying the power.
That's kinda sad
Manny was knocked out by an ordinary guy doesn't mean anything champions struggle in fights and do it easy in others, styles can make or break a fight that's all its, Ryan may very well take Rolly to school and stop him, styles.
