How? GrandPac is not undefeated, beat 1 less champ than Mayweather, always fail to win unified, not a HoFer, never won lineal at catchweight and was never exempted in "special" substances... Clearly, GrandPac will never surpass Mayweather's legacy...

easy mate.. do the math.
barrera was the much better fighter, and was on a great run when pac beat him. corrales actually had a very slim resume when floyd fought him which is prob the reason floyd fought him. all of corrales' best wins came after the floyd fight: casamayor, castillo, freitas. he had robert garcia and angel manfredy doe!
Legacy of cherryping. Pac don't need floyd. He already surpassed floyd by a wide margin record wise.

First off, you can't even compare Corrales to Barrera. It's a legend vs a pretty good fighter. Corrales had just either come out of jail or was about to be going in before fighting Floyd so his mind wasn't there.
Second, nobody in their right mind picked Pac to beat Barrera. He was moving up in weight to face one of the best P4P fighters in the world that was so dominant. The way that Pac made Barrera look like he didn't even belong in the same ring with him speaks volumes. He literally made Barrera look like he wasn't supposed to be at that level rather than the other way around. It was shocking, brutal, and impressive as all hell.
It’s not like you can’t look it up. He may have opened as a slight favourite, but mayweather entered the ring as the favourite. Like I said, it was pretty close to pick em.
Mayweather was the favorite:
Mayweather vs Corrales: January 20 2001
Diego Corrales challenged Ring No. 2 ranked Super Featherweight and #7 Pound-For-Pound Floyd Mayweather Jr. for the WBC super featherweight title. Odds makers had Mayweather, 23, a 6-5 betting favorite as the fighters began their ring walks.Jan 20, 2018
slight favorite, yet still the favorite and NOT the underdog.
Him being susceptible of being an underdog moves him further away from getting close to even a quarter of Mayweather's legacy...

Mayweather's win over Corrales is probably his best performance & arguably his best win.
Pacqiuao's win over Marco Antonio Barrera was the greater win over Mayweather-Corrales
he likes to be underdog.. it motivates him. what's funny here is he was an underdog but came out like a tiger..

Because I don’t recall it being pick em. I recall corrales being a clear favorite. Not as big as Barrera that is true.

barrera on 8 winning streak before fighting pac.
the momentum is there..
True he was and had beaten hamed. I was wrong with the number of wins.
He had also come back after retiring for 2 years after jones beat him twice.
Your full of it aren't you. Corrales was like lacy hyped to the hills. Lacy was a mini Mike tyson, undefeated and in prime also and favourite against calzaghe. Stop dressing it up!
You like using hindsight so nel o was green and drained when Floyd beat him.
Corrales was in no way a Lacy. He was in the top 10 p4p and was 32-0.
This isn’t about your personal crusade against Floyd.
Besides, you deleted your post after Floyd beat everyone you posted he needed to defeat to be an ATG.
You’ve got to really be a shitty person with a great deal of hate and jealousy to do something like that.
Fair enough, but Barrera was more accomplished and hof bound. Like I said, it was pickem or Floyd a slight favourite...not sure why you keep saying corrales was the favourite. Pac, on the other hand, was a clear 4-1 dog.

Barely if at all, it was pretty well pick em odds if I recall. Pac was a 4-1 underdog vs an already HOFer Barrera.

Pacquiao, who had been working with Freddie Roach since 2001, recovered well and dominated the fight, being too good and far too fast for the Mexican warrior. Barrera, the betting favourite at 4-1, was blitzed and was down in the third, before surviving the next few rounds.
people say mayweather's cotto win was better than pacquiao because cotto was "drained" during his fight with pacquiao, yet people don't want to mention how drained chico was in his fight against mayweather
oscar was "drained" against manny yet if there was a rematch that was to take place against mayweather it was going to be at 147.
Barrera had retired for about 2 years after he lost back to back to Jones. Did you forget that? Then he came back and won all those fights.
Why are you holding it against Floyd that odh wouldn’t fight him?
I, like everyone, would’ve loved to see Floyd fight odh before this. However odh couldn’t bring himself to respond to Floyd’s challenge until 2007.
But this thread is about Corrales/ Floyd and manny/Barrera. Floyd beat an undefeated prime guy who was favored against him in devastating fashion.

Calling Barrera an already HOF'er is misleading. He hadn't been inducted yet and he had come out of retirement after losing twice in a row to junior jones. Yes he came back and won 5 in a row and then upset Hamed.
Corrales was favored against Mayweather because he was prime and undefeated. Floyd completely dominated him in spectacular fashion.
I don't think it right that we rewrite history.

Corrales was prime and undefeated. Barrera is definitely the better boxer than Corrales all time, but its hard to just say at the point he fought Manny he was better than Corrales was when he fought Floyd.

What are you talking about? Barrera fought four times in 2000, twice in 2001, twice in 2002, and twice in 2003 when he lost to Pacquiao.
Speaking of extended periods out of the ring though. Hoya basically retired in 04, had one fight in 06, then fought Floyd a year later in 07. It would have been nice to see how good Floyd could be with a more active Oscar considering how competitive that fight was with a barely active Oscar. Alas, he retired to avoid the rematch. Good stuff.

The funny thing about this analysis is Thurman and Barrera both were out for an extended time before they came back, won and fought fought Pac.

I think the closest comparison to Floyd-Corrales is Pac-Thurman. Corrales and Thurman had about the same achievements and both were undefeated. That's a fair comparison. Barrera is an ATG and deserves no disrespect, not while I'm alive. Barrera still has a better resumè than Canelo.
Bradley is a level above Corrales. Bradley is like a better version of Zab Judah.
