ward had a laughable run of horrible opponents lined up. do we all forget ward almost fought pavlik? do we forget ward vs sartison? Ward’s management had a deal made with Sartison’s team, but they were unable to go ahead with it after HBO rejected the fight.

he was throwing any crap against hbos wall trying to see if it would stick. he got them with edwin rodriguez but the rest of the guys he wanted to fight were pathetic. he thought he had total control of opponent selection. his promoter and hbo said no you dont. they went to court. he lost

instead of just figthin the guys they wanted. he sat out. thats not a promotional issue. thats a ward issue. his promoter had to die for him to be able to resume his career. thats how wrong he was.

what more do you need? he said he didnt want to fight ggg and tried to fight guys like shot pavlik and sartison.

I think this will just be mostly a GGG bashing thread. I’m not sure of the thread starters intentions but no unbiased boxing fan is surprised or shocked GGG and Ward never fought. And to start it off with just a bunch of ??????????? like they don’t understand how this fight didn’t get made, implies someone must have been “ducking”. Why move up to fight Ward when ur in a prestigious division already and chasing the cash cow in Canelo? Ward coulda fought Usyk? It’s just boxing. There’s risks and rewards. If they hate GGG then they will just say his whole career is based on him being a coward.

forget what Bullshltkin said back in 2012...

Mr " anyone from 154-168 " said this in 2013.....

Golovkin: Would Fight Ward at 168 and Canelo at 154

FACT: when shlt got real, and that fight became a possibility...

first, Mr " anyone from 154-168 " shat the bed over weight...

then, he refused an offer from Roc Nation in 36 minutes flat !

there is NO way to spin that !!

FACT: Team Bullshlt killed that fight in June 2015... by demanding a weight they KNEW would kill the fight

FACT: in Sep 2015, Team Bullshlt refused Ward in 36 minutes flat
Over the last few weeks, a lot has been said and a lot has been written with respect to a potential fight between WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (33-0, 30KOs) and WBA super middleweight king Andre Ward (28-0, 15KOs). As the finishing touches were being made to Golovkin's October 17th unification with IBF champion David Lemieux - Ward's promoter, Roc Nation Sports Chief Operating Officer David Itskowitch, emailed an official offer to Golovkin's promoter, Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions.

after talking all that shlt... they avoided Ward TWICE !!
So let me get this straight. You think the smart thing for Golovkin to do in 2015 would be to abandon the MW division, beef himself up a little and fight Andre Ward?
Are you serious? I mean everything you say is just supportive of what I posted.

how much of a turn-off was Derevyanchenko's LOSS to Jacobs?

              are you ******... ?

this was Bullshltkin's stunning 2016 campaign...
              * Wade
              * Brook

I think that Hypekin should have taken Ward's advice...

" you can't have this MONSTER reputation, without backing that thing up... sooner or later, you need to get in there with another real one, and be everything that you say you are "

Bullshltkin needed to either... sack up... or he needed to keep Ward's name out of his mouth

in that same time period, there was talk of fighting Saunders...

Golovkin made an OBVIOUS $1.5m low-ball offer, and then quickly ran off to fight Dominic Wade..... WITH NO COUNTER-OFFER, that was a take-it-or-leave-it lowball....

oh, immediately after that fight... Saunders watched Kell Brook make $4-5m+

you guys just love churning out the excuses for Golovkin, huh ?

You mean while Canelo was postponing fighting Golovkin to fight Khan and Smith instead.

I’m done with you. I don’t think you are stable mentally and I’ve no wish to just go back and forth exchanging insults.

hey, at least you are not the worst of them...

real boxing fans, who like Golovkin:
do not mention the name, Andre Ward

                  dumb casual-fans:
                  deny that Ward ducked Golovkin

the REAL low-life shltter fanbase who frequent boxingscene:
somehow try to insist that Ward ducked Golovkin

Yeah it definitely a thread designed to attack GGG, but there are some clueless people out there who genuinely think GGG ducked Ward as though they were in the same division.

Its funny because Adonis Stevenson publicly called out Ward but Ward was reluctant to even acknowledge it.

Agree with your sentiment, it is a risk vs reward game at the end of the day

Truth is if they were both at a close enough weight to get this fight going their were other obstacles in the way from both sides that made it a harder fight to make.
If this fight did go ahead at 168 c/w I believe GGG would have won but also like Canelo Ward was protected in America so he actually would of lost a close decision. Imo.
