If memory serves me right when GGG wanted the fight Ward was on the sidelines with promotional issues. When Ward came back GGG was chasing the Canelo fight and Ward I don’t believe ever caught below 170 after coming back. It’s easy to point fingers but the truth is the timing was never right plus they were in different divisions.

You know what? I actually can’t remember the timeline properly. All I can remember was the 154 - 175 comments (I think), and maybe GGG wanted Ward at 164 or something, one thing is pretty sure, the energy that Team G put on chasing Canelo was never there for when Ward’s name was mentioned.
