Each made a business decision. When Golovkin was asked by HBO if he was ready to fight Ward he said YES...in that same meeting Ward said no. Ward didn't like his contract so he was sitting it out.
Years later, with the MW division beginning to show signs of life, Ward wanted the fight.
That's what actually happened though some here will carry on page after page twisting and turning events over and over to suit whatever issues they are dealing with in their personal life.Comment

I put up facts, you come back with haterade opinions. That's how this entire thing has gone. Enjoy your silence in ignoreland once again. Not sure what type of chemical imbalance you have where one day you make a lucid post and then three days later we get this mess of a raving full-of-hate idiot who is blind to any fact placed before him....
bullshlt !! ... you made excuses
that is NOT the same thing

put it this way.....
currently, Golovkin is smacking his lips over Murata
fighting Andrade, for the WBO title... made no sense
fighting Charlo, for the WBC title... made no sense
but fighting Murata, for the WBA "junior" title... makes perfect sense
FACT: Golovkin selects the easiest opponent... he always has
that is why no fights with Lara, Ward, Saunders, Andrade, Charlo
since 2013, Golovkin has selected the easiest possible opponent... well, when was Ward ever... "the easiest opponent"?
aight then.... THAT, is why the fight never happenedComment

what dribble
everyone knows that Ward was inactive/injured in 2014
stop lying... you silly fanboy clown
FACT: Team Bullshlt killed that fight in June 2015... by demanding a weight they KNEW would kill the fight
FACT: in Sep 2015, Team Bullshlt refused Ward in 36 minutes flat
Over the last few weeks, a lot has been said and a lot has been written with respect to a potential fight between WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (33-0, 30KOs) and WBA super middleweight king Andre Ward (28-0, 15KOs). As the finishing touches were being made to Golovkin's October 17th unification with IBF champion David Lemieux - Ward's promoter, Roc Nation Sports Chief Operating Officer David Itskowitch, emailed an official offer to Golovkin's promoter, Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions.
after talking all that shlt... they avoided Ward TWICE !!Comment

ward wanted the fight how though? you mean wards offer? do you know what the offer was? you might see some idiots on here saying nonsense like "ggg turned ward down in 30 minutes" which is true because the offer was so bad and laughable. those same idiots will never talk about what the actual offer was because it exposes them as lackeys and fanboys or at best misinformed people with basic comprehension problems. Each made a business decision. When Golovkin was asked by HBO if he was ready to fight Ward he said YES...in that same meeting Ward said no. Ward didn't like his contract so he was sitting it out.

it was a multi fight offer that required ggg to preemptively postpone his wbc mandatory when the wbc said he was next. why would ggg do that for ward? a guy who had no buzz and had been kicked off hbo. if ward was serious about wanting the fight why the multi fight offer? why not just a single fight? thats usually how fights work no?
in retrospect we know damn well ward never had any intentions of going back to 168. it was just a publicity stunt along with the lil g comments because ggg made him look bad when ward didnt want to fight him and tried to fight bums like sartison instead. some idiots on here will spin this and say ward had "promotional issues" when ggg wanted to fiht him. but those were entirely self inflicted. he had issues because he refused to fight the guys hbo wanted like ggg, bute, froch, etc...this is turn resulted in his court battles with his promoter which he lost. all this was exposed in court.Last edited by daggum; 08-26-2019, 10:20 PM.Comment

golovkin said he was willing to fight ward in 2012 after the proska fight. there are articles about it. the meeting took place some time in 2012/13 not 2014. stop calling people liars when you don't know anything. you are either lying or dont know anything. take your pickwhat dribble

I've watched Charlo fight. He would struggle against Murata or Brant for that matter IMO. I used to be somewhat interested in him as a fighter but his lackluster performances were a turn off.put it this way.....
