This article makes no sense. It fails to point out a lot of info about Kazakhstan which is easily available.

1. The 2017 energy Expo is the biggest event the country has ever had and Golovkin has had their logo at his events for a few years now. It's a big deal and as the most famous person from Kazakhstan, he is going to take part (also, he is an official ambassador for the expo)

2. Amateurs from Kazakhstan have to get special permission from the government to even turn pro. To move out of the country like Golovkin has done is generally frowned upon. Golovkin is a US resident but if he were to become a US citizen he would forfeit his citizenship of Kazakhstan. There is no duel citizenship allowed. This puts in context how much pressure there is for him to have a fight there in June. If he skipped out, he would take a lot of heat. This isn't small pressure from the boxing media, but serious pressure from a government.

triple G should pursue fights like Charlo, Lara, Or Eubank Jr. These guys can whoop billy joe Saunders any day. We deserve good fights and not meaningless fight cards

One of the Charlo brothers already vacated his 154 belt. So if GGG takes BJS belt and that Charlo brother wants to call himself a middleweight champion he has to go through GGG. The same goes with the other Charlo brother, Lara, Andrade and Canelo. As these guys start outgrowing 154 they are going to move up to GGG's division and if GGG has all the belts they are going to have to fight him sooner rather than later.

Wouldn't you prefer that. Or would you prefer one of them beats BJS before GGG and then choose mandatory fights and optional defenses against handpicked opponents.

There is one statement that is incorrect here. Bhop did not move up because he beat all comers at 160. He stayed at 160, making defenses until he lost his belts and then lost a rematch. Only then did he decide to move-up in weight.
Hagler did it first, staying at 160 for his entire career. Bhop stayed at 160 until past his 40th birthday; anyone that criticizes GGG for not moving up doesn't understand boxing.
I agree that a Jacobs rematch should be next, but if gives Jacobs a rematch in less than 12 mo., I have no issue with that

GGG likes to fight 3 or 4 times a year, Jacobs only once or twice.

Danny isn't even asking for an immediate rematch and I'm sure he'd be more than happy for GGG to come back to him later this year, or early 2018, with another world title to fight for.

There's not a lot of boxing coverage that is both consistently good, and with frequent material, and I love boxing scene for that.

That being said, this article seems silly. 'How dare a champion fight mandatory challengers (Dominic Wade) and attempt to unify the belts (BJ Saunders)!' That's what you choose to attack and call 'criminal'? Maybe the meaningless belts wouldn't be meaningless if people defended them as required, as Golovkin and Kell Brook do, and as fighters like Cotto and Canelo haven't. You have to treat the belt as something important, and demand fighters do the same, if you want it to be important.

Once a fighter reaches a certain level, the belts don't mean anything. They become more of a roadblocks to big fights than anything else. GGG has reached that level.

Watched this fight for the eighth time last night and it is very clear GGG had the bout won. Slow motion showed the flurries by DJ just didn't produce a lot of solid landing punches. More slaps an as RJJr puts it 'pitty-pat' strikes. I feel bad for DJ, but in the same sense I was disappointed in the pre fight shenanigans he pulled with the weigh in process and his excuses revealed in yesterday's news. I think the denial phase is over for DJ and it is him that has some damage control to tend to regarding DJ's 'image'.
I read nothing of substance in this article and find it hard to believe anyone with any sense would take it seriously.

Don't understand why folks keep wanting Jacobs to fight Lemieux. I mean, it would be a fun fight. But in terms of middleweight pecking order, Jacobs clearly put himself ahead of Lemieux this past Sat.

There are a couple reasons.

1. Its just a damned fun fight.
2. Who else is there that he can fight that is not above him in the pecking order. He's currently the 2nd best fighter at 160 but the fight with GGG is so close that it really is just them two at the top and then everyone else. So if he's not facing GGG next he can only fight guys below him. There are much less credible options out there for Jacobs than Lemieux.
3. It would certainly be a better option than sitting around and waiting for the GGG rematch.
4. It helps keep him in the public eye. He keeps winning and he'll keep having the chance to call GGG out in public. The public will want the rematch more and more. It makes the fight bigger.

I guarantee you that if everything falls the way it should we'll see GGG/Jacobs 2 by this time next year at the latest. If BJS and/or Canelo bail on GGG we'll see it even sooner. Outside of those two guys there is no other big fight available for GGG between 154 and 168.

Floyd was criticized more for not taking the tough fights, i.e. not fighting Mosely until he was 39, a multitude of excuses to fight Pacquiao, then fighting him when he was not in his prime, fighting JMM at catchweight, then not making weight, criticizing pac for catchweights and then doing the same v Canelo, etc., not unification fights

The notion that Floyd "didn't fight Mosley until he was 39" is ridiculous considering that Mosley was the bigger name for the majority of the time their careers overlapped. Its also ridiculous because it was Mosley, not Floyd that didn't want the fight when they were at 130 and 135 respectively. He also stumbled through a post fight interview, I believe after one of the Vargas fights. Where he states he had. A toothache and couldn't fight Floyd next. You either don't know your history, haven't been following boxing long, or both.
