He's not waiting for Golovkin to get old. His promoter wants to put the fight off and rake in as much cash as possible.... Like Arum when they kept Chavez Jr from Sergio Martinez.

I don't think you can complain when the guy fights three times a year.

I actually think grabbing that other strap and then fighting Jacobs next makes a lot of sense, if the Canelo fight doesnt happen.

I also think, contrary to reports that the fight with Sanders is already done.

And if you haven't noticed, GBP has kinda drawn a line in the sand in terms of negotiations with GGG. And unfortunately for Gennady, Canelo-Jr is gonna destroy GGG-Jacobs. So he really has no leg to stand on.

Like I was saying. If I were Jacobs. I'd push for an immediate rematch. And if he doesn't get it, I'd move up. If he were to lose at 168, it doesn't hurt his stock at 160. And if he could move up there and win a belt. GGG is eventually gonna be forced to move up. If Jacobs is sitting there with a belt at 168, there's gonna be public demand for GGG to do the rematch as opposed to fighting any of the other beltholders. If Jacobs loses a fight at 160 before getting a GGG rematch. It pretty much eliminates all hope of ever getting a rematch.
And GGG is the one who isn't taking risks?

Come on man. Unless Jacobs is having problems making 160 there is no reason for him to move up. He can make a lot of money at 160 fighting quality guys. And as the guys at 154 move up its going to be a even more exciting division. Hell, since he's a PBC fighter a lot of those fights should be really easy to make.

the knockdown cost Jacobs a draw. GGG barely beat Jacobs. good fight exposing GGG as good but not great.

He's 35 and likely not got many "prime" fights left. Get all the belts, fight Canelo, move forward and make money. Why every close fight needs to have a rematch (no clause in the contract here that I'm aware of) I have no idea. I feel like some people just want to run it back as many times as it takes to get the result they want.

Jacobs in vegas sells little. Thurman sells little. Porter is a midget. Garcia gets ignored. Charlo turns fans off with his obnoxious foul behavior.
Garcia doesn't get ignored. The problem with Garcia is that his father is an ass and he fights too many soft opponents. Thurman and Garcia just had millions of people watch their fight on TV.

I would keep going on but you did a fairly good job of explaining why it isn't the fighters skin color that determines their popularity.

Anyone who scored 11 and 12 to Jacobs doesn't know what they're watching.

It's a pathetic narrative by the fake media which is led by a bunch of race baiting **** posters like Dontae and that 72sports guy.

117-111 for Golovkin, he commanded the ring much better than Jacobs but people want to give it to Jacobs because he is American.

Danny Garcia is not a fan favorite and will never a PPV main event. Granted Angel hurts Danny. Now the loss puts Danny back to zero with the Porters and Bertos and Broners in meaningless fights.
