Don't understand why folks keep wanting Jacobs to fight Lemieux. I mean, it would be a fun fight. But in terms of middleweight pecking order, Jacobs clearly put himself ahead of Lemieux this past Sat.

BJS has done himself no favors frankly. After winning over Lee I thought this fight would make a lot of sense. And since that fight in 2015 he's taken just one fight against a low quality opponent and looked horrid.

In actually fighting GGG in a competitive, contested matchup, Jacobs has shown us that he can trouble GGG and deserves a rematch more so than BJS deserves a meaningless title unification.

Author is spot on and the most hardcore 3G fans continue to kid themselves about reality - most thought it was a close fight and many believe the decision could have gone Jacobs' way.

Saunders is a BS opponent, however, it's a chance for GGG to make history, and do it in front of his countrymen! I can't hate on him for that! Jacobs has options (Charlo, Lara, Eubank Jr. and DeGale) to choose from. Make a choice, and make a statement! If Jacobs does it right, he'll face GGG or Canelo in 2017!

Oh come on Lyle, like they haven't been trying to get Saunders in the ring for a year now..now that Saunders wants the fight you want them to say NO? Who wines and dines a b*t*h and then says "NO" when the panties are about to drop? Jacobs isn't going anywhere, he'll be right there for a rematch should both men want it. Don't see the same people clamoring on about Canelo rematching Lara though...cause you know "Double Standards" and all that emotional shhh.

Agree 1000% but you also have people here ignoring the Haymon VS DLH beef like that fight would be so simple to make. Haymon has a few fighters moving to 160 and already at 160.

I got an Idea , Let GGG fight Jacobs in a rematch and Canelo fight Lemieux. Winner fights each other.
I know is too much common sence , this will never happen because De LaHoya will not let his cash cow get slaughtered.

Hey Fitz i just rewatched the first round. Jacobs was moving backwards 90% of the round. He may have clipped Golovkin with an overhand right midway through the 1st. Golovkin landed about 7 or 8 jabs and you gave the first to Jacobs?

There's not a lot of boxing coverage that is both consistently good, and with frequent material, and I love boxing scene for that.

That being said, this article seems silly. 'How dare a champion fight mandatory challengers (Dominic Wade) and attempt to unify the belts (BJ Saunders)!' That's what you choose to attack and call 'criminal'? Maybe the meaningless belts wouldn't be meaningless if people defended them as required, as Golovkin and Kell Brook do, and as fighters like Cotto and Canelo haven't. You have to treat the belt as something important, and demand fighters do the same, if you want it to be important.
