    Come on, man.
What? Why would they want to drop down any weight at all for Kell brook of all people? Obviously they have bigger fish to fry (Canelo, Saunders, Jacobs). Besides, if you think Brook/Hearn would seriously make this fight you're crazy. Everyone knows the only reason Brook mentioned Golovkin is because Khan is fighting Canelo, obviously. This fight will not, and should never, happen.

Then why aren't they frying them?

FACT, even at 160 Brook would be the best name on Golovkins resume

that makes more sense. still. canelo vs ggg needs to happen, they just can't keep pretending that the guy doesn't exist

Golovkin is in a great position right now to take his career and profile to new heights. All he has to do is keep fighting, and winning, at 160, and by the end of next year he will be the undisputed, unified MW champion and one of the biggest names in boxing.
Which would be the equivalent of The Alabama Crimson Tide winning the FCS Football Playoff Championship! Who knows though North Dakota St. Might even have better odds then 30-1 to beat them???

This is how you envision GGG becoming and ALL-TIME great??? By unifying all the MW titles???

WBC strips Canelo and makes GGG. Fight Jorge Heiland for the Belt.

WBO makes Arif Magomedov and GGG Fight for the Belt after Saunders tells GGG to F'k himself and his "Life Changing" money offer...later we find out was for $650,000

Alfonso Bianco becomes WBA mandatory which GGG happily fights.

With a FINAL showdown for the IBF mandatory Gran Turino with special guest referee....Clint Eastwood.

          Wow!!! I'm VERY impressed

They amended their own rules with Floyd, Garcia, & JCC Jr and with this upcoming Canelo fight. Their rules mean nothing
Business contracts are not the same as WBC rules.

I'll give GGG credit for fighting DeGale if that happens which I'm very skeptical.
Golovkin is the WBA super champion. AKA "the WBA champion"

Jacobs is the WBA regular champion. AKA "the No1 contender for GGG's WBA title"

Did you hear Jacobs calling GGG out after the Quillin fight?

              Me neither.

True, nobody should be given credit for a fight until it happens. Andre Ward fans don't agree with that, btw.

Are you trolling or ignorant? Obviously they tried to fight Canelo, who wasn't ready and they tried to fight Saunders who flat out rejected him. Being that they couldn't secure a unification fight they are now forced to fight their IBF mandatory fight (Wade).

FACT, even at 160 Brook would be the best name on Golovkins resume
According to who? I don't think that. Would Brook beat Martin Murray, Monroe, Stevens and Lemieux? Very unlikely since he's a welterweight. There are weight classes for a reason. It would be a joke of a fight for Gennady to fight Brook and disrespectful to the sport.

Oh ok. So Golovkin is open to fighting Haymon fighters now is what you're telling me?

Also, to my understanding, Haymon is running the ship now with Degale not Hearn.

Loeffler has always maintained he's cool with Haymon, I think the issue in the past was Haymon guys not being able to fight on HBO (whether that's from Haymon saying no to HBO or HBO saying no to Haymon fighters or both). Things have started to change recently with Khan & Wade both fighting on HBO so it seems things are changing a bit.
                    Well that's always good news.

Sure, just the act of taking the deal wouldnt have gotten him stripped of the WBC interim title, but what WOULD have happened is that GBP would have notified the WBC that they were ready to negotiate for their mandatory, of course knowing full well that GGG was already contractually bound to the the Ward fight, would be unable to negotiate and would thus be stripped.

Stop acting like a 1st year noob.......
There's was no scenario where Canelo could force Golovkin to drop his mandatory position.

The offer Ward gave Golovkin was to have an interim fight in between and then fight sometime within the first half of 2016 (mid year most likely) so the Ward fight would not get in the way at all. After Cotto-Canelo, negotiations would begin, and Canelo would be either forced to take the fight within 90 days, or work out a step aside deal, which works out for Golovkin-Ward either way. If Canelo wanted a step aside deal to avoid Golovkin after Cotto, he'll would also be forced to accommodate Golovkins fight against Ward mid year as part of the deal. If he did not want to accommodate GGG's Ward fight, Canelo would get himself stripped once GGG forced the purse bid.
