I have a good feeling GGG wants DeGale at a CW so he can still use can't make 168 excuse. He fights DeGale at 168 and win or lose against Kov the next best fight for Ward would be GGG.

Both of them? $5million each and Golovkin gets paid in peanuts?

He wants relevant opponents, but he's a pro boxer, not a registered charity!

Loeffler has never had a problem with Haymon, but HBO did. Wade is a Haymon fighter though, so maybe that's been ironed out now.

          Now that's just bullshit.

Barrera was on the same level at LHW as Dominic is at MW ... not ranked in the top 20 by any independant rating organisation, but mando for a title shot because higher ranked fighters didn't want the job.

Wade is a Haymon fighter doe.

That's why I don't understand why Lara and Decubas just prefer to tweet. If you're a Haymon fighter you just don't tweet. You talk to Haymon directly and let him do the hocus pocus. Unless you're just blowing smoke

Anyone with higher than a 3rd grade education knows exactly what would have happened had GGG took the bait for the Ward offer. Sure, just the act of taking the deal wouldnt have gotten him stripped of the WBC interim title, but what WOULD have happened is that GBP would have notified the WBC that they were ready to negotiate for their mandatory, of course knowing full well that GGG was already contractually bound to the the Ward fight, would be unable to negotiate and would thus be stripped.

Stop acting like a 1st year noob.......
The contract that Golovkin signed with Cotto and Canelo was for him to fight the winner of their match next, unless BOTH parties agreed to extend the contract to allow other fights to take place first.

Anybody who thinks that either Cotto, Canelo or the WBC would have given GGG permission to sign another contract with Andre Ward, and keep the contract he had with them open, is not living in the real world!

I'll admit, this is the first time I've read a GGG "potential opponents" article and didn't completely cringe.

At some point GGG is going to have to make something happen! Pretty soon he will be irrelevant! BJS is not getting it done either! GGG needs a trilogy with Canelo or a contract with Al Haymon!

Don't tell me **** about WBC rules. They're easily broken and amended when the WBC wants. You really think the WBC would've made him lose his mando sport after they'd already broke their necks to amend their own rules by allowing him to fight for the interim? They amended their own rules with Floyd, Garcia, & JCC Jr and with this upcoming Canelo fight. Their rules mean nothing
