What you fail to realize is holding is apart of boxing. It's only illegal it's continuous and that's to the refs discretion! That's only part of their defense! That's not what stops the aggression! The vicious counter punches is what slows down offensive fighters aggression because it forces them to think! If you think they win by holding alone which every fighter does then that proves that you don't watch boxing or even know the sport

I didn't say that he was unskilled, or anything even close to that.

I said that Ward is MUCH better, hands down.

the poster that I replied to tried to indicate that Kova/GGG/Ward, were all on the same level skill-wise..... but they simple are not.

The ref doesn't call the decision in a world title fight, you idiot.

But he can let the home fighter get away with blatant fouls that would lead to points deductions or a DQ, if he enforced the rules fairly.

Fouls like these, that Ward was allowed to get away with scot free vs Kessler, in Oakland.

Put all the skills and tactics aside

Ward is still too big for Golovkin

Andre would absolutely beat the shi t outta Gennady

Not a fair fight at all

Competitive early but Golovkin gets stopped mid-late rounds

At this point bringing up Ward against Golovkin is dumb. As a fan of GGG I know Ward would beat him at 175. Even though I believe GGG-Ward at 168 is debatable, It doesnt matter anymore. If Ward pulls some sht this year and doesnt fight Kov then he's afraid and a ducker.

Kov and GGG would probably be the most interesting fights for Ward. The guy is definitely slick enough to at least go rounds. Froch and some others have caught him though, and GGG plus Kov punch harder. So what kind of chin does Ward have? Can't wait to find out.

As for Rodriguez, Michael Seals almost had his number, but dislocated his shoulder. I was 20 feet from the ring tops and that bomb he landed on Rodriguez nearly stopped him cold. A rematch would be amazing. I think when the dust clears though, Seals will have had the better career than Rodriguez. Edwin is good, not great. Several LHWs have his power, but he can't really box as well as the top guys. He should rematch Seals, then try Fonfara. I'd bet anything he loses at least one of those, probably both.

In the Kessler fight, Ward fouled the living daylights outta Mikkel. A better ref would've made the fight much closer.

Ward isn't to big for GGG. GGG spars 175lbers all the time. I guarantee he wals around at 175 so a fight at 168 is fair. Funny the double standards in boxing! People want Floyd to go up and fight GGG and Martinez at 154 or 160 but don't expect the same from other fighters! What's the phrase you guys like to use? They need to challenge themselves and take risk!
