The thing about that would be that it was well known that Golovkin/Lemieux were in deep negotiations at the time. Lemieux beat N'Dam the same night Ward beat Smith - Loeffler announced they would be going all out to make the unification fight on the following Monday.

E-mails' dates can easily be authenticated by ISP's on both ends. Ward gotta be careful about this. If they really made an offer six, seven months ago via emails, then the media should pursue this.

I have an email right now that shows we gave them what they want ... 50/50 ... and the man -- the promoter --turned it down, said maybe 2017. If you don’t want to fight a fighter, think it’s not your style, just say that," Ward said on the video. "The truth is, they never wanted the fight. The reality is we offered him a fight six, seven months ago, before we knew he had a pay-per-view coming up ... 50%. He turned it down in five minutes. The short and long of it is they never wanted the fight."

Oh, six/seven months ago? When he wasn't fighting?

If you look at their records Ward is the only one of the two who has taken risky fights. And he is the one who is actually willing to face Golovkin. It's Golovkin who won't fight him. Not unless he agrees to a 164 pound catch weight.

In the last 4 years Ward has fought one top 10 ranked opponent, Edwin Rodriguez, while GGG has fought 7, and tried to make fights with many others.

Using Ward's timeframe, that would make the offer sometime around the Murray fight and long before the Monroe fight. So basically what Ward is claiming is that K2 chose to fight Monroe instead of Ward. If this claim is true... why didn't Ward speak up LONG before now?

I have a feeling, and this is not much of a stretch, that this 'offer' will go down with other famous lines such as "The cheque is in the mail" and "I will not come in your mouth" in competition for the biggest lie ever told.

Ward is also claiming that this offer was made before his Smith fight was signed. During the time frame when Roc Nation was claiming that Ward wanted at least two tune ups before taking on a major opponent. IF the offer was made in Feb. 2015, it would make it the first offer for a Ward fight under the Roc Nation banner.

I thought Christians didn't lie? Especially one who proclaims himself to be the son of his god!

Virgil Hunter also said that Ward would need a couple of tune-ups before fighting GGG. That is in line with what Loeffler said about the offer he got from Ward.

So even if Ward did send that offer 6/7 months ago, which I don't believe, he wouldn't have been offering to fight GGG next, but at some time in the future. It would not have been reasonable to ask GGG to make a commitment like that, when he was homing in on his main objective - title unification at 160.

The entire claim makes no sense at all. It's like a kid starting back in highschool after living in another city for two years asking the hottest cheerleader to the prom a year and half away when she already is seeing the quarterback of the football team who has a college scholarship coming up. AND she has to let him **** a couple of fat ugly girls first and put her own life on hold.

How could you possibly expect anyone to say yes to that?
