Ward or his people must have read your post and stopped mentioning it.

I agree Golovkin doesn't want to fight Ward now, but it's clear Ward doesn't want it either. We're just 7 weeks away from Alvarez/Cotto, and still no Ward fight. That's getting thin on time for an opponent to have a training camp for the great SOG....
what was so disingenuous about it? the way the offer was written it would not of affected the lemieux fight as both would of fought once before they fought each other. when team ggg says maybe 2017 that pretty much tells u everything there is to know. i didnt realize ggg fans were holding onto hope that ward didnt actually want to fight ggg i mean this is crazy. ggg is ducking ward its so obvious and yet u guys just wont accept it. this just shows the double standards in the sport

Fight probably would have happened had Ward didn't dilly dally. Team GG prior to the Monroe fight was desperate for fights. Ward did nothing. Monroe fight was over and Ward was still nowhere to be found, except blow up smoke, "yeah, well, let's do it...hm.. huh...hm... " He finally made a fake offer just to save face.

It would not have affected the Lemieux fight, but it WOULD have affected his ability to enforce his mandatory status against Canelo, or to keep the IBF title he just won from Lemieux

But in your world, GGG should have given up all that for the "chance" to fight Ward sometime next year? (assuming of course Ward doesnt get another "injury" and pull out)

If you would have agreed to a deal like that, you would be the dumbest person in boxing.

and yes, 2017 at the absolute earliest. Hopefully, GGG's 2016 looks like this:

              Feb: Johnson IBF mando
May/June: Lee (if he beats Saunders)
              Sept: Canelo

or, give all that up for a possible 50-50 fight with a guy who cant sell out the first 3 rows of a greyhound bus. uhmmmmmmm.........

Dont be ******. If after beating Lemieux GGG had a scheduled fight with Ward, the FIRST thing Canelo would be doing today is claiming that GGG is "not available". And he would be correct. GGG would then likely be stripped of the WBC interim title for being unable to participate in the mandatory challenge.

Look, I know for whatever reason, you hate GGG, and thats fine. But thats no reason to fabricate things out of thin air.

Remember the link you posted which said the offer from Ward was to have one fight each in 2016 then fight later in the year?

Or are you still pretending that it said something else?

At the end of the day though, regardless of what the terms were, there was no willingness to do a deal from Team GGG. It was turned down instantly.

                    Their answer was "maybe 2017"

                      Listen guy,
                      1. Negotiations for Golovkin/Lemieux commenced the Monday after Lemeiux/N'Dam - which took place the same day as Ward/Smith
                      2. Golovkin was already mandatory for the WBC title held by Cotto who was in negotiations to fight Alvarez.

Those two items were public knowledge and widely reported. No fighter is going to commit to a fight with Ward in 2016 when they're expecting to be on call for the winner of Cotto/Alvarez in 2016. Ward knew they'd turn it down, especially at a 50/50 purse cut...

If Andre Ward seriously wanted to fight Golovkin, he would've pushed for the fight in March 2015, because in October 2014 he sent the email to read on HBO after Golovkin/Rubio - "Anyplace, anytime, anywhere". How come 5 months after Ward said that, he suddenly needed to take so many tune-ups?
