    What did you "fix"?

GGG's team had no problem fighting JCCjr at 168 for no belt, but when asked about Ward

"ward too much too soon" too soon? GGG was already over 30 ffs

"the ward fight doesn't make financial sense".

Now say they didn't say that?

So GGG fans are ok with canelo getting a shot at the WBC mw title before GGG?
Cuz I yet to see one complain about it.
I want to see Cotto/Canelo MUCH more than GGG vs. either. I would prefer that Cotto/Canelo took place at 154 for the vacant WBC belt (assuming Floyd drops the belt). Ideally, Cotto would face GGG next, but that's too good to be true. Canelo would really have to **** up in negotiations in order for Cotto to face GGG next. We will see.

GGG's team reeks of desperation. I hope they enjoy sitting ringside to boxing's biggest fight because theyre never stepping into the ring for one.

I will laugh my ass off, when Cotto vacates.
If Cotto vacates the WBC title only his fans and - for a while - the Ring magazine will still be calling him the lineal MW champ. If the Ring decide that Cotto has returned to the SWW division they will withdraw recognition from him and award their lineal title to the winner of GGG's next fight.

Then there will be 2 lineal MW champs. That's how pointless lineal titles are.

You're better than that. You know damn well that Ward is asking too much money for a major fight and that for it to be profitable for anyone, it would have to be PPV and HBO will not make a Ward fight PPV as there is no audience for it. At the time of the Chavez Jr. negotiations, Ward was in court and not able to fight. This is also a fact you are aware of. I expect better from you.

You have passed greats like Ali, Benitez, Gomez, Taylor and many others in such bad conditions after they retire. And to read such hateful **** like that coming from a fighters fans is disgusting. I won't lie and pretend I like GGG because I don't care for him, maybe later on when Cotto retires he might win me over but I'm a loyal Cotto fan and I want him to eventually fight GGG. But I would be fine if Cotto vacated the title after Canelo and move down if he wishes to do so.
Cotto should vacate the title BEFORE fighting Canelo if he does not intend to fight GGG after. Not that he will have the title after Canelo breaks him.

I have stated multiple times that I do not believe Canelo has any right to fight for the MW title. He has shown no interest in moving to middleweight and that, combined with Cotto's admission last night that he is not a middleweight, should be enough for the WBC to refuse to sanction the fight as a MW championship bout.

I will of course have to accept matters if Cotto and Canelo are willing to come to a satisfactory agreement with GGG for him to step aside, which includes a signed, legal contract stating that the winner defends against GGG in their next fight. Such an agreement will of course never be signed and Cotto will be stripped before the fight so there will be nothing at all to worry about.

But for some reason he won't do that, will he?
Dude for the last time this is about the $$$$$$$$, if after the Canelo fight if Cotto wins and there doesn't seem to be any reason for a rematch and Floyd doesn't give Cotto a rematch there wont be anyone left for Cotto to fight except GGG. I don't think that a rematch with Floyd would give Cotto or Canelo for that matter credibility as you stated earlier they are already incredibly credible fighters. But let's not pretend that beating Floyd for any fighter today that wouldn't be their greatest accomplishment. 1/2 of the fans who tune in to a Mayweather fight do so in hopes of witnessing history watching Floyd get beat.

lol, cotto should just keep his million bucks and save some more on sanctioning fees, i dont see how anyone will be willing to pay that much for a belt...

It's ok that you changed the original statement he made to fit your agenda, but to ignore the point he made is plain and clear bias on your part.

Pay or vacate.... they don't even need the WBC MW belt for a Canelo fight... so I don't know why they're trying so hard to keep it

How would you like it if this year the winner of the National League championship in baseball decides that they will not face the American League Champion in the World Series but will instead play against a team from Cuba instead? Would that appeal to your sense of honor and fair play?

Golovkin earned the right to face the WBC champion when he won the Interim title from Rubio. A title he has defended twice since that day, winning both times and cementing his position. But you would rather ignore the rules and have the champion choose his own opponent instead of fighting the one he is honor bound to face in the ring.

In what world would that seem right to you? If you think things should work that way, then you are a man without honor like the fighter you idolize.
