  • Team GGG might have some people gassed but others see through their bs....they make it seem like fighting Cotto is about the belt...it's more about the money....that's why they prefer Chavez Jr. and Froch at 168 instead of Ward...they claim there's not enough bread in a Ward fight...so I wish the GGG fans stop talking about the belt...those dudes wanna get paid some REAL bread....Cotto has turned them into crumb snatchers

I guess ill have to look up the rules myself...thoughts anybody
There is only a maximum weight in all division's no minimum.

      • Well, fair is fair. GGG is the mandatory and he wants that belt.

The ball is in Cotto's court. He either fights GGG, pays GGG step a-side money and gives a guarantee that GGG gets the winner of Cotto/Canelo, or he vacates the title.

        • I think cotto and canelo will fight for de vacant title WBC 154 or no title on the line. canelo said hes is not fighting middleweight yet. and cotto don't want no part of ggg. I think cotto will drop the title.

There's zero money in the Ward fight as long as there's no offer. Since neither guy is ppv, the only guys that can make it happen are ROC Nation, since they're willing to lose major money. So why haven't they, and why is their CEO saying "when it makes financial sense"?

c'mon man with that fair is fair bs....if you're face to face with a lion you think he won't eat you just because you won't eat him....it's NOT about the belt...it's about the bread!!...why do you think they're talking about step aside crumbs?!?....fair is fair...in which world?!?

Might as well just step aside without asking Cotto for anything. If Canelo wins, there's a bigger chance he'll fight him. If GGG just takes the belt with no step aside deal, Canelo won't have much obligation and pressure to face GGG. He'll have a new shinny belt, but who cares? Unifying two vacant belts won't do anything for GGG.
Might as well get the money.
Even if Canelo is more willing, his comments post Kirkland aren't very encouraging for the near future. Also Mayweather doesn't seem to want to drop his belts yet

Thst is exactly right, another smart post.

                  Just like HeroBando did earlier.

When it comes to Ward..... no, no, we gotta get paid.

When it comes to Froch - WHO WOULD GET A MUCH BETTER PAYDAY BY FIGHTING DEGALE, INSTEAD OF GOLOVKIN - no, Froch should take the fight for legacy and forget about the money that Degale brings to the table.

                  woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

                  But yea great point.

If Team Hypekin want validation, credibility, and a title, Ward is the man.

Cotto weighed in under the JMW limit, Golovkin is just trying to fight the smaller stars for money, Canelo/Cotto/Mayweather, I dont believe nobody can see whats up.

                  • What I believe is.....

Cotto fighting Golovkin, is at least as demanding as Golovkin fighting Ward.

I believe that should Cotto beat Canelo, then he will fight Golovkin.

But I believe that Golovkin will never fight Ward/Dirrell/Lara, or any top mover/puncher.

Golovkin will beat up the tough guys, no problem.

I can see whats up with Team GGG, Golovkin is extremely well-managed.

                    e.g.
Not a huge Canelo fan but..... everyone said that Canelo will never step up, and that he will never be a real champion. Well since turning the corner, Canelo has fought the very best opposition, directly against the instructions/wishes of his management team, especially the Lara fight.

Golovkin will never do that, like Canelo/Mayweather do.

Golovkin is more like Pacquiao, well-managed, and full of excuses.

                    • If I'm Golovkin I want 2 million in step aside, a spot on undercard, and guarantee of facing the winner next,

If no guarantee, give me 5 mill and no undercard fight, no nothing, 5 million and GGG walks away
