We'll find out for sure pretty soon when Team Cotto/Canelo have to negotiate with Team GGG about the step-aside agreement.

GTFOH boxing is about blood, guts and glory and $$$$$$$$$. Fighting Geale was to test the water was low risk high reward and nothing more I'm not naive I don't look at it as a great accomplishment. Fighting GGG and beating him in a FOTY candidate this late in Cotto's career now that would be great. But I cant blame Cotto wanting to take that risk last after Canelo.
      Boom! Logic.

These haters talk shyt 24/7 while asking LITTLE from both GGG or Canelo. Fools are cool with Canelo claiming he is toooo little for GGG and yet, they play all this technical bullshyt like, "well Cotto is a MW champ doe" knowing full well, Cotto is NO MW.

They claim the want the "best fights" but every single one of their posts is all about how EASY Cotto is for GGG. The lead poisoning around here is at an all time high.

Yep - its a problem. If he's gonna fight non name fighters such as Heiland and Johnson he might as well get the Lara fight out of the way and shut up the whingers.

I hope GGG and his team never get the Cotto fight. Cotto even admitted it himself that he's not a real middleweight. Golovkin gets to babysit his titles by fighting a bunch of faded contenders and bums but Cotto has his first title defense against one of the cans that GGG fought and he's given a harder time? It's a double standard if u ask me. Even though Cotto beat a past prime Martinez he at least had the balls to move up in weight to fight a world class fighter unlike GGG. Golovkin wants to fight the lowest risk and highest reward fight (Cotto) lol. He should move up to 168 and fight someone like Bika or something at least.

Rubio won a final eliminator on 7/23/13, while Martinez faced Murray on 4-23-13. Martinez decided to face Cotto and Rubio stepped aside IIRC, and then Rubio lost his position to Golovkin. You do make a good point though, and asking for a guarantee is GGG's way of avoiding a similar situation. Mandatories and #1 contenders get ****ed over all the time, and GGG is fortunate enough to have a network behind him or he'd end up like Rubio, Olusegun or any of the countless mandatories that lacked a support system.

Yes I read your million copies of the same lame comparison of the GGG vs Geale vs Cotto drawing more fans crap last night. As someone pointed out last night and you ignored ticket prices are a big factor. GGG is making noise he is not yet a star if he were he wouldn't be begging Cotto for a fight. Truth be told GGG if he keeps up the good work will some day be a big star, he seems to be a nice guy and has a lot of potential. But his fans are incredibly bias and hateful for that matter praying Cotto to be drowned in his own blood and ****. If Cotto beats Canelo or Canelo beats Cotto, chances are higher that Cotto will fight GGG Next not Canelo his team have already said they will fight GGG in a few years.(this is no knock on Canelo he is not officially campaigning as a MW) Cotto last night however half assed he said it, said he is willing to fight GGG after the Canelo fight.

Then why is so against signing an agreement to that before the fight takes place? He basically froze up every time a question was asked about Golovkin. His answers were half assed at best and insincere. I don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth. SIGN A CONTRACT STATING THAT YOU WILL FIGHT GGG AFTER CANELO. But for some reason he won't do that, will he?
